FYI

Roger has shut down SCRUX.

I wonder if MedleyRelay really did write the Paulus letter?

It's been going down alot lately.  Did he actually announce it was shutting down or is it just down?

He announced. He posted a message.

Can you share or should I go there to read it?

Nothing really. No news...blah, blah, blah. About a 1000 words though, you know Roger. Razz

Roger wrote:

The Scrux board is closing for new posts

I am going to totally close the Scrux bulletin board to new posts and refer everyone who wishes post about the case to Refugees and Freedom of Blog . The Scrux board has evolved from its original objectives and content and for a while it really hasn't served the purpose it once fulfilled. Perhaps the subject has been talked unto its end, but there may be more to say, so those sites will provide that vehicle. The other boards are very free wheeling and will provide great outlets for any expressions about the case.

We will continuously leave the board available for searching and copying of any posts and all of our resources will be accessible for anyone to download and use however they wish.

In addition to the other concerns which I mentioned, my time has become increasingly occupied with other projects and I can't contribute the way I would want to. Further, I just don't have the time to monitor the board the way I once did.

So here is the close down plan:

The bulletin board will be left up (as well as the other Scrux.com pages) so that people can access and read all previous posts and anyone will be able to search the archives. There just won't be any new posts allowed.

About your private messages:
The board won't actually be closed for posting for 24 to 36 hours from now to give people time to access their private message boxes and copy out anything they wish to save. Once the board is truly closed for posting, although everyone will still be able to read old posts, they won't be able to read any of their old private messages, because no one will be able to sign in. I will add one final post to this topic about ten minutes before closing the board for posting so you will know that the shut down is imminent.

For me, Scrux has been a satisfying experience, but only because, in some way, I think the Scrux site may have helped in this very strange tragedy. I have appreciated the dialog we have had here. This is such a very sad story, a pathetic mystery and a seemingly unending episode, involving the families of Natalee Holloway, as well as the families of Joran and the Kalpoe brothers. For all of those people there seems to be no resolve in sight. I wish for all of them the peace they so desperately seek and need.

In the future, if there is anything further that I think needs saying, I will write it as an essay and put it on the Scrux "Evidence Line" pages. Then, I will make a posting on Refugees or Freedom of Blog to describe the addition.

No news...HA!  Wonder if he means there is nothing left to spin into a fantastical creation and pretend it might really have happened.  I keep coming back to the truth--the three perps were the last ones seen with her.  It's a bit hard to spin that into something it isn't.

Klaas, gotcha.  Lots of sites going down and the timing is remarkable.  Are they cutting and running?  Saving face and money?  Hmm...

Do you just get the feeling that the truth is being peeled back, layer by layer?  The spin and suppositions, the wild theories and crazy explanations are lying by the wayside, abandoned in the face of the truth.  Time and patience and perseverance tell a story of their own.

Just about the time Aruba runs out of money for all that cop overtime, too.   Very Happy We may yet see even others posting with less vim and vigor.

Now would be a wonderful time for Paulus to receive his big chunk of
taxpayer funds, too.  I wonder how well that would play in Aruba.  They must truly be running low on funds.

Guess they should have thought about all this when making Beth apologize and telling Dave to watch his drink at C&C.  I also wonder if it was worth it to them.  Their choice.   Wink

Igsigs.
I'm telling ya, the Postal Inspectors ROCK!!  Very interesting group of LE.  They NEVER give up, either.  If I had anything to hide, they are not an organization I would want looking into it or on my trail.  Whomever wrote that letter should be shaking in their boots cause like robbing an armored car, the penalties can seem very harsh compared to those for other offenses.  Just the way federal crimes are.   Very Happy

You are quick Klaas!
What's left? BFN is going strong. RWV is an echo chamber. FOB has about 20 posters and bans people before they even post. The garbage barge is slowly figuring out what Glenda one-note's motives truley are...

We are lucky to have SM. Started as the best and will end as the best.

That Roger always was long-winded!  The truth usually does come out eventually but this time with these parents hurting, I hope it is sooner rather than later.

Goodnight, all!

I find it remarkable and scary at the same time.  Just think of all the information, threads, etc that have been lost in the last few months, here included. What's happening?

A front page poster by the name of Grande sent me this comparison photo of Paulus and the Casino guy.  It's a comparison of the watches:

Ours aren't lost forever, we can get them back.  It just might cost some money to do it though.  But they are retrievable.

The blue areas of closeups are so blurry I can't make anything out.  I thought the guy in the casino had his watch on the left hand too.  Shocked

I was at Scrux yesterday and was reading some of the posts.
Medley Relay seemed to have taken over the flavor of it.
Oh Well... He probably did have some idea that it was all about " evidence", but it turned into something else.
...........
I was reading about ill mannered cats & dogs and I have a sort of gross but funny story.
I used to do a lot of embroidery and needlework. My kitties used to sit in my lap when i would do this. Always facinated by the thread and the ribbon.
Came home from work one day, sititng on the couch and one of the kitties ran by. I saw a flash of something pink and wondered what she had found to play with. Chased her around and when I caught her, there was a pink ribbon hanging out of her bum, about a foot long and at the end of it was poop. Well, I had to pull it out of her. She had mostly expelled the thing, but she must have been running around all day
with her pink poop on a string !  The other one was probably very amused with the new game of play " string ".
Any time I have the sewing stuff out, I have to just take out what I need and watch them like a hawk.

LOL!  that was a good one.

it looks as if he's a "switch watch wearer" - he wears them on both arms depending on his mood?!?!?

I post on a Yorkie board and someone wrote a few years ago about how one of her dogs had something white hanging out of its bum.  She was surprised when she pulled out a  thin white cotton sock.   Shocked  Shocked

Red and Tom should take up a collection for specifically that. I know they don't want to...but i seen a few unsolicited offers already. It is something all can benefit from.
