When is Karin Janssen leaving for her retirement?  Is there even enough time left to try a case before she heads home to the Fatherland?

Paulus's attorney asked for all evidence didn't he prior to the award given to Paulus for his wrongful imprisonment of two days.   Confused   I don't remember the details of all that but would KJ be required to present all she had at that time?  Can she hold back legally?  Even if it would cause Paulus to win money from the government?

I have never understood how he could receive that judgment, if not the actual florins, if there is still an investigation ongoing.  Who's to say the investigation might not turn up evidence implicating him and he would have already spent the money and would not have it to return, etc.

No, I certainly don't understand their system but I do know when I have been jerked around and that is what they have done about their laws, policies and procedures.

.

Wasn't KJ due to retire from her position in ARuba before 2007 and take vacation time as well?

My understanding is that only what had been presented to the judge was to be turned over to the presiding judge of the civil case.

Last year in Jan '06, KJ made a statement regarding ability to hold back evidence. Remember when we thought J2K would be requestioned over the '05 Holidays?  KJ said that the only way to compell them to be requestioned would be to present new evidence to the judge of instruction.
She said she felt it more prudent to hold back so that the defnse would not have access to the new evidence.

However, that was back when Steve Cohen appeared on Dr Phil and said they were waiting on very important evidence results to come back from NFI.  Weren't they going to charge the suspects and we would have fireworks by the end of January?  Maybe KJ meant Jan '07.  Wink

I just would think if the test is ordered for blood, and turns up not blood but as stated choc+cl fl  would other possibilities be ruled out?

My point of reference is a hospital situation. If toxicology reports are ordered on someone for substances  x,y,z, a, and b....that's what they test for.  The person may have an overdose of substance w   , but if they weren't screened for that....their test is called negative.

Hey, bb...I get this...my Dad had had blood work during a hospital stay...a couple months later asked doc about meds for memory and he suggested blood work first to see what might be in order...Dad came out deficient in B12...not found in previous blood work...that being, they only find what they test for.  (B12 deficiency can have serious effect on memory)

That is very true. I have seen people totally confused and after 3 days treatment with IM b12 injections do a complete 360. It's amazing.

But I am glad you see what I am saying about the tests. I don't want to sound like I am underestimating the Netherland investigators. But I do know how bureaucracy works. I also remember certain specimens taking along time, they allegedly were"backed-up" and would get to them. I would wonder if they then just test what was asked for?

That's exactly what I was thinking when I responded.  Taking my Dad's condition when in the hospital...we naively expected extensive tests were being done...later, when the new tests were the answer to my med questions, my eyes were opened to the possibility that our expectations and what is, are two different things.  The tests ordered by NL or whomever may have only found what was asked for.  If the tests were backed up for later testing, the orders could have ben changed or manipulated.  After all, we did hear Rudy Croes & others state there was blood in the car....Do I need B12?   Rolling Eyes
