Northern Rose, you picked up on a couple of things that I thought were sort of WTheck moments, too.   

First, on how Tammi what - walks up to people in restaurants and asks if they want to give their baby up?  And sometimes they do??  To me, that makes your next snippet (the one above) more believable.  O.O  I mean really - who does that?

On the above snippet, it's weird - that little tidbit is left out there, but the officer doesn't followup because he can't find a phone number?  Did they try to requisition mental health records for her?  Would that be a document still being held back, or did they just drop it?  Just too strange, and worrying.

Subject: Latest update on Gabriel
Elizabeth is due in court Monday. This is when we find out if the charges against her will be dropped based on the technicality of an "unauthorized" interview between Det. Salame and Elizabeth. Let's pray for Gabriel's sake, the judge does the right thing and let's the charges stand. We need this to go to trial in hopes that more information, as to what happened while she was on the run with Gabriel, comes to light. Gabriel deserves justice, so let justice be served.

Also, the police has finally released the police reports in Gabriel's case. Many of the tips/leads in which the police have received are interesting to read. However, many leads were not followed through due to anonymity of callers and not enough information to carry out a more thorough investigation on these leads. I am asking, if anyone in this group called LE or Silent Witness as an anonymous caller and your lead was dropped due to lack of evidence, PLEASE call back and provide more detailed information so the lead can be reinvestigated. Too many great leads were dropped and sadly could have been the information needed to bring Gabriel home. Please help bring this child home. Read the reports and if you know anything that may help, please contact the police or Silent Witness. It is not too late, we could bring Gabriel home in time to celebrate his 2nd birthday.

Again, thank you for your continued support. It is greatly appreciated, not only by the admins of NPD, but also the McQueary family. In this tough time your support gives them comfort.

Baby Gabriel's Mother Tells Judge, 'I Am Love'

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The mother of missing baby Gabriel Johnson has sent a letter to the judge in her case.

In the two-page handwritten letter, Elizabeth Johnson first introduces herself to Judge Paul McMurdie and admits she is writing against her attorneys' recommendations. "I'm against conformity and was never one who followed the rules," Johnson wrote, "which is probably why I'm in the situation I find myself."

Johnson complains about her "dreadful mugshot" but still doesn't give any insight into what happened to her baby boy.

PHOENIX -- Could a mistake by prosecutors set baby Gabriel's mother free? The 8-month-old boy has been missing for more than a year, and his mother, Elizabeth Johnson, sits in jail charged in his kidnapping. But her attorney is banking on botched prosecution to set Johnson loose.

In most trials, prosecutors and defense attorneys stay on one side of the stand. But Johnson's attorney, Dan Raynak, is wanting to question his competition, Maricopa County prosecutor Angela Andrews, on what part she may have played in what he calls an illegal interview last summer.

Baby Gabriel mother a no-show in court

Johnson has refused to attend most of her court hearings, mainly because they require her to be under transport or in a jail lockup for many hours, according to her grandfather.

"Elizabeth has a mind of her own," Raynak said after court.

He also said Johnson has provided all the information she has to police, and that it was Tammi Smith of Scottsdale who "was the person running the show . . . I wish she would come forward."

Smiths has maintained her innocence in Gabriel's disappearance.

Smith, who wanted to adopt Baby Gabriel, is free on bond on charges of forgery and conspiracy to commit custodial interference. She has requested a new grand jury because the state failed to present evidence to the first one "in a fair and impartial manner," according to the motion, which is scheduled for a Feb. 11 hearing.

I think they're both crazy as loons.  I mean, they've been stalking people to give up their babies for ages.  I think they're so potty that they don't even realize how potty they are.  I'm sure their friendship with Elizabeth was peachy because they're all frankly nuts.
