He won't.  This sounds like the Jaap interview/confession/lie detector that was done sometime last year.  PVDS dying gives them a reason to broadcast it now.  It's all in the $$.

I'd like to think media pressure would force the Aruban prosecutor into doing SOMETHING but I seriously doubt anything will happen.

I guess we can hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Officials Doubt Natalee Holloway Suspect's Latest Confession

Joran van der Sloot, the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of American Natalee Holloway in Aruba, has made a second confession, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

The confession reportedly came after Van der Sloot gave an interview to a German TV station. (Jaap)

According to the report, Van der Sloot said Holloway's body was hidden in marshes on the Caribbean island. Van der Sloot made the comments to German broadcaster RTL and a second interview is reportedly plannedin Frankfurt this week. In an earlier confession he told reporters he dumped Holloway's body at sea.

He has also claimed in the past that Holloway died accidentally and insisted that he did not kill her.

Aruban justice department officials doubt Van der Sloot's latest confession, telling De Telegraaf that although it has sparked new inquiries into the investigation, "it soon became clear this statement is a mixture of lies and fantasy."

Aruba's chief prosecutor Peter Blanken told NBC News that the suspect's story was "very unbelievable."

A justice department spokesman told De Telegraaf that if Van der Sloot were telling the truth he would name the exact spot where Halloway's body is hidden.

Van der Sloot is thought to be in the Netherlands, where he attended his father's funeral last week.

Holloway, from Mountain Brook, Ala., was 18 when she was last seen leaving a bar in the Aruban capital in 2005 on the final night of a high school graduation trip. No trace of her has ever been found.

If this interview with RTL occurred in August, then it is indeed separate and apart from the thing he did with Jaap and the polygraph lady.  I'm certain of this because I was in the hospital from July through October and the Jaap thing happened before I got sick.

LONDON - The suspect in the disappearance of American student Natalee Holloway has confessed to disposing of her body in a swamp on the Caribbean island of Aruba, according to a Dutch tabloid newspaper and Aruba's chief prosecutor.

Joran van der Sloot made the statement in a sit-down interview with a television journalist, De Telegraaf reported Tuesday.

However, Aruba's chief prosecutor Peter Blanken told NBC News that the suspect's story was "very unbelievable."

Holloway, from Mountain Brook, Ala., was 18 when she was last seen leaving a bar in the Aruban capital on the final night of a high school graduation trip in May 2005. Her body has never been recovered.

Authorities in Aruba reopened the investigation after they found out about the alleged confession, which is believed to have been recorded in August.

"The locations, names and times he gave just did not make sense," Blanken told NBC News.

'Lies'
De Telegraaf quoted Blanken as saying that van der Sloot's statement was "held together by lies and fantasy."

The interview was not aired by German broadcaster RTL because of doubts about whether van der Sloot was telling the truth, Blanken added.

Van der Sloot claimed that Holloway had died accidentally and insisted that he did not kill her, Blanken said.

In 2008, the suspect was secretly taped saying that Holloway had died after suffering a seizure on a beach and that he had dumped her body in the sea.

Van der Sloot later said he had been lying in a bid to impress the man he was talking to.

He also told a U.S. journalist that he sold Holloway to a man on a boat for $10,000. However, he subsequently insisted he had also made up that story.

Holloway disappeared on May 30, 2005. She was last seen getting into a car with van der Sloot and two of his friends.

The three men have been questioned repeatedly by police but have never been formally charged.

This is almost funny to me.  Think about it...............

RU spewed left, right and center about this whole lie detector business that Joran did (turns out it was this confession, lol) that he told the truth, that he didn't kill Natalee, and that we would all hear "the real truth" soon.

Now, we learn it's this mess of a "confession", and the OM investigated and didn't find it the least bit credible.

I wonder where those RU folks are going to turn now?  Because they cannot have their cake and eat it too.

1 - Either Joran told "the truth" in this interview, as will be proven by the lie detector results

AND

The OM is now lying


Or

2 - Joran lied to his most staunchest supporters about this whole lie detector interview,

AND

The OM is telling the truth

 

I'd really like to know what direction those folks are now going to turn!

Is Joran lying to them, or is there rampant corruption within LE and the OM's office on Aruba?

This epic, almost monumental, tug of war between Joran and the OM is indeed wonderful to watch - and the stakes keep rising. At some point Joran will do something to call their bluff (or vise versa) and the case will explode and the house of cards will collapse.

It seems as if the height is slowly being reached.

At some point he will tell the whole story as they keep calling him a liar.

Joran's latest = seems it wasn't all that recent.  It pertains to an interview Joran did with Jaap (Dutch TV personality) last year. I'm thinking it is more to do with $$ than truth.

There are numerous reports that Joran van der Sloot has confessed to his involvement in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

BNO, a Dutch newspaper, reports that van der Sloot confessed in front of an RTL camera to dumping Holloway's body in Aruba.

Reports say van der Sloot was in Aruba for the funeral of his father who died in Aruba unexpectedly this month.

The website Dutchnews.nl says Joran van der Sloot has made a second confession.  The website credits the newspaper, the Telegraaf.

The paper says the statement was made in front of tv cameras from German broadcaster RTL and that a second interview is planned for Frankfurt this week.

Van der Sloot's father died earlier this month and the youth isthought to be in the Netherlands. Last week he attended his father'sfuneral.

In the new interview, Van der Sloot apparently says Holloway's body was hidden in marshes on the island. Earlier, he told an undercoverreporter her body was dumped at sea

So is this going to be the new pattern.  Joran is going to confess every two years and then Aruba will say they are reopening the investigation thus Beth won't have access to the files.  If they are reopening the investigation doesn't that mean the case has been closed.  Why hasn't Beth received this files?

Were Natalee's remains planted somewhere by Aruba.  We all know human remains were in that cage.

Natalee has gone from the ocean to a marsh.  Why not just dig up the new cement on the Sloot property and end this charade.

Also while I am at it.  Is Joran trying to bolster the Kalpoe case so he can receive what he thinks will be his share of the lawsuit.
