They all sound like they are drugged out.

This call was yesterday, after court. It is unbelievable. Hope is one spoiled brat, IMO.

I especially rolled my eyes when she said Judge LaRue asked her if she ever worked. Her response to her mother was, I just said NO. What was I supposed to say, yeah, I'm a stripper?! (that's how I heard it.)

She also is under the assumption she can decide what her punishment is going to be and more importantly, not going to be. OMG.

Thanks for posting the link to Hopes Jail house audio tape.  I added it to the Jail house audio threads.  It is truly a keeper.  I have to re-listen to it to see what she was saying about Ronald saying something before her mother cut her off.

I heard somehting about Roanld being turned down for drug court..

I get the impression if she throws Tommy under the bus her family with think it will be ok to do so as she is the beautiful precious daughter that should be saved.. Misty is really evil and messed up.

WOW Listened to the Jail house call and watched the you tube videos.....all I have to say is OMG ....OMG ..OMG! Are you freaking serious? I would really like to slap the chit out of these young girls...they know nothing about life....lil miss prisses...UGH  !!!
That girl and that guy going on about how Misty probably just went out to a party and left the kids there and they were laughing about it!!! This is serious whatever happened a little girl is missing!!! Don't they get it????

How Flow And Inference Can Change A News Article

An article was released recently pertaining to the Haleigh Cummings case. It is amazing what you can do with flow and inference within an article. This article claimed that Misty Croslin had underwent yet another polygraph, and had ‘flunked miserably’.

Using some rather nebulous language it was inferred that one source of this information was Sgt Charles (Chuck) Mulligan who is the press liaison officer for St Johns where Misty Croslin is being held.

I talked with Sgt Mulligan a few minutes ago, actually I was calling about the latest DVD’s that were released on the case. I brought up the subject of the article in question.  His response was that when he became aware of the article (earlier today) he called the journalist in question and requested that it be changed to clarify what he actually said.

At no point during his earlier discussion with Art Harris did he even mention the word polygraph. He also went on to explain that he does not, and will not comment on activities that occur outside of his area of responsibility. He did point out that the Haleigh Cummings investigation is ongoing, and as a consequence PCSO have travelled to St, Johns on several occasions to interview Misty Croslin. This event was no different to any of the others.

Sgt Mulligan is the link between St. Johns and the press, and he is an incredibly helpful man.  Often times his position is a thankless task, and not one that is high on anyones ‘best job in the world’ list. Lets face it, who wants to have to deal with members of the press?

I did notice that Art Harris has modified his article slightly, a minor tweak has been made to it.

The paragraph used to read:

     “The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department arranged it, picked her up and took her to an interview room in our jail,” recalled Sgt. Chuck Mulligan, spokesman for the sheriff’s department in St. John’s County outside St. Augustine, Florida. For all other questions, he referred us to PCSD, where no one would officially confirm or deny the Croslin test ever happened.

It now reads:

    “The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department arranged it, picked her up and took her to an interview room in our jail,” recalled Sgt. Chuck Mulligan, spokesman for the sheriff’s department in St. John’s County outside St. Augustine, Florida who later requested we clarify that he didn’t know the nature of the meeting. It is a cute modification. It is subtle.

Having spent some time talking to Sgt. Chuck Mulligan today, I think it would be fair to say that at no point did he suggest to Art Harris that a polygraph was involved.  While this might not have been a shameless ’self advertising’ stunt by Art, rather just journalism stupidity, it does give you pause for thought.

Everyone knows that what bloggers write on their blogs is not always the TRUTH. And it is often worded so poorly as to be confusing to the reader.

I always take what they post with a huge grain of salt and try to back things up with legitimate news sources before I go off running with a "truth" they have posted.

But maybe that's just me.

Well, its nice for whoever to call out whoever if they are not being truthful. The characters in this unfortunate missing child's case are enough of mass confusion themselves. We do not expect that from the media.  We are wanting facts, not made up stories.  I am still waiting to see the Craig'slist ad myself.  Not saying there is/was not one, just want them to back up their stories.

I'd have thought that having been in jail this long, she would have quit smoking. Not by choice, but by circumstance.

And the church choir thing? Oh, I just cannot comment.
