House Passes Repeat Child Molestor Death Penalty Bill

Last Update: 5:03 pm OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma lawmakers have voted overwhelmingly to force repeat child molesters to face possible penalties of life in prison or death.

The House voted 91-2 Monday for the bill by Rep. Rex Duncan of Sand Springs and sent it to the Senate for action.

Under current law, a child molester can face a sentence of 25 years to life in prison for a first offense. Duncan's legislation will increase the penalty to include a maximum sentence of life without parole.

It would also allow repeat offenders to face life without parole or the death penalty.

Duncan says the death penalty is reserved for the worst of the worst criminals. He says he believes people with a history of violently raping children fall into that category.

that is exactly how it should be and I think it will curb the false accusers which make it such a hard crime to prove these days as well... win win in my book... guess they realized that these repeat offernders are a frikin epidemic that needs to end... hope they do it everywhere

You are not mistaken I heard Misty ask her mom that too and Ron just said on NG that Jason told him that he has never seen Misty really cry , not like she did when she talked about Ron losing Junior...so I guess he did go see her and Ronald..mutual friend/relative? hummmm........

well i'm not sure on that at all but if you go to tina croslins myspace (joe o's mom) there is group photos and flora (tina and lisa'a mom) is holding hands with someone named lee lee who is very native american/ hawaiin looking and then there is a younger (mentally slow looking female) who is the daughter of lee lee... it seems by photos that flora current boyfriend/husband is lee lee... lee lee and his daugter are much darker skinned and more ethnic looking then the other overstreets but when you see them all together it brings out a native american look in the rest of them... i totally did not answer your question but figured i'd throw in my observation on that one lol

and here is the family reunion that lisa supposedly fled the state for with no names given but seems she missed the photo op (and no that is not lisa croslin on the left holdin leelee's hand that is her mother flora

I’ve heard her Dad say those things, too, and it reinforces what he’s told me over the last few months, that he doesn’t believe she had anything to do with Haleigh’s vanishing… but if she or any of his kids know anything, he wants them to tell it, confess it, bring Haleigh home or help find the body, and then deal with their aftermath on life’s terms. Of course, he has doubts…Misty has lied to him so much over the years, he wants to believe, but at some point, you just can’t anymore. You love your child, but they killed that trust long ago, and rebuilding doesn’t happen overnight….then there’s Tommy who keeps saying she keeps lying about him, pointing to the B and E…but what else cn he say? He’s done THAT before, too. So lying with a straight face, tears and righteous indignation goes a long way to make outsiders believe they’re being sincere..Heck, I WANTED to believe Misty after I interviewed her almost a year ago on camera, seemingly so sweet and tragic, outside the Satsuma convenience store, benefit of the doubt and all that…but the dynamic has changed, making us all doubt…Those close to the case have heard her deny certain things with tears they know to be false…Now we hear her talking about another polygraph…But she needs a good night’s sleep to take it. There is no doubt in my mind more so than ever that this self-absorbed little tart knows exactly what happened to Haleigh & her brother helped her to get out of it.   I dont believe for a second that she was "passed out."   My wide screen is in jeopardy because if I see that tape just one more time to have to listen to her me, me, me & she "dont know nuffin" I might just throw that pillow way too hard...o and this beeotch thinks she's beautiful, seriously??!!

Im still mystified that she was not arrested & put in jail for endangering the welfare of a minor, even child neglect based on her own words that she was on a 3 day binge from being high as a kite & rode hard -- this case would have taken a much quicker turn if this jobless wondernot would have been incarcerated from the getgo with no possibility of getting bailed out from her  toxic family.

That so called father, Ron had no business what so ever allowing his two little children being babysat by her. He also should have some child neglect charges thrown his way as well. He very well could have found someone to watch those children besides Misty, if he would have even bothered to do so.

well i never concreted josh being brandons bro but
there is a josh o in midland mi and josh o of midland has a brother charlie of midland mi
so if brandon is josh's bro then he must also be charlie o's brother...
are you sure about him being josh's bro? reason i ask is...
josh o who is 46 is probably the dad of younger josh o... means charlie and josh's dad was an overstreet..
here is my dilema brandon is much more dark skinned then these 2 and resemblence between josh and charlie is clear and they are very light skinned... i just assumed brandon had some hispanic or african or some othher color bearing ethnicity to him and if that was the case then either his mom is an overstreet and he is not josh's bro... or other possible scenario all 3 have same dad josh o 46 and maybe brandon has a different mom who could carry the different ethnicity... all jmo of course
