This is so upsetting to me the charges that vets and eye care doctors and dentists charge, I know this is 2010 but for Heaven's sake some of these charges just make no sense just for some tests 

It is expensive everwhere you go. I think my vet over charges, but they take care of him so well I don't want to change and go somewhere else. I am blessed that I have the means right now to take care of him. I feel so guilty for dragging him up the stairs last night. 

I am sure when he feels better he will give you a nice little nip on the butt.   

  And maybe two nips.   I've been reading the Haleigh thread on InSessions, OMG they sure get down and dirty over there

I hope the xanax has helped you, it takes the edge off the anxiety, but sometimes when a person is real anxious they don't seem to work as well 

Oh No Rose, it has hit me and I have no care in the world, just having you monkeys to talk to is really helping me out. 

I'm so glad the xanax is working, and us talking to you has helped 

I think I need another one now No Rose. She said he doesn't have pancreatitis, just a bad GI bug. He is staying overnight so he can have an IV, more agressive anitbitotics and other stuff that I can't remember. One thing I do remember is the cost. It looks like it will be between 1,000 to 1,200 dollars. OUCH! Visiting hours are between one and four, so I am going to get off work early so I can go see him.

I have been real busy today, so haven't posted yet.

JSM: I am so sorry Josef is ill, but he is very lucky he has you and you had a vet check him out. He is in good hands, and he is very lucky because of you. You did the right thing, and he will be okay. It is very hard when our pets get sick, I know. Hang in there and think about how lucky the situation is that he is getting help and going to be better! (I know that is hard, though.)

I am glad you get to go see him this afternoon.

We all have been praying/thinking good thoughts for him and you!

  I got kicked out of the cage twice in the past 30 minutes.
JSM,I hope you can get off work early and check  up on Josef.   

Da++ workman's comp sent a letter and said hubby has to get his prescription in Gadsden from now on,and FedEx will deliver it.     He only has enough meds to last until Tuesday.Had to call his Dr. and they are gonna clean the caseworker's clock.He takes Lyrica and you can't just stock taking it. They will try to get a rush put on it.
Oh yeah,I am fixing to let the lawyer know about it too.   
I know they are just pushing our buttons cause they want his case closed.
I will punch that B****'s light out. 

I'll take a Xanax too.

So sorry I missed you last night, and today!

How awful to be without power for so long! I used to find it fun for about a day, but that was before I felt I needed heat and air conditioning. LOL

I hope you get your power restored any minute now. Being cold indoors is the pits!

There are two schools on taping a sprained finger. Some doctors recommend it, some don't. If it is just a sprain, and no broken bones (a sprain hurts more!) then it will heal fine taped or not taped. (It won't "heal crooked.")

I had a "very, very, very" bad sprain to my middle finger on my left hand 2 years ago this past April. That is how the doctor called it. It took over a year to heal properly. Swelling took forever to go down, but taping was not recommended. The doctor wanted me to move it whenever I could. I did ice it for quite a few weeks until the swelling subsided. Hope you are doing that until the swelling goes down. For like 20 minutes at a time. I wonder now if any ligaments or tendons were severed. He took x-rays for broken bones and there were none.

Anyway, I sure know what you are going through. I am sorry.

The only funny part I remember about it is that I went to the doctor, my middle finger was twice the size it should be, they said, which finger, I put my hand up and that middle finger was straight in the air. Every one kept laughing at that. It took many weeks until it did not stick straight up in the air. LOL

I hope yours heals much faster than mine did.

NRCG  I know the finger splits are a pain. Hope you find something better than what doc gave you.

Trimm  Will you come deal with my stupid insurance people. Thats not fair it's more the ding bats the doctors have here working for them. They can't seem to get the bills sent to the right place.

Oh my    I have ruptured tendons on my little finger. Now they made a splint that formed to my finger, put a piece of foam on the knuckle and taped it. Since it fell off in the shower, and it was protected, the doctor said everytime it slips or whatever it is like starting from scratch in the healing process. Right now I'm not wearing it, so I'm going to go get something sturdier to keep it flat and wear a glove in the shower. It actually hurts more in that stupid thing, and it is like a hard plastic, I think it would be better to have like a flat stick and then tape it, but I didn't want to tell the doctor that what he put on me was stupid. Mine is swollen but not as bad as yours was. Though I sure wish it were my middle finger so I could be flipping people off all the time and have a reason for it, sorry it is my finger that can't control itself
