I don't feel comfortable in my glasses, and usually only wear them in the house, I did put some drops in my eyes, and they feel better. But now my husband said to me, why is there black under your eyes, I guess my mascara ran from the drops. I can just feel this isn't going to go well, but at least I don't have to cook anything tonight.
I pray it goes well No Rose. You will be fine and I will say a prayer for y'all! Enjoy yourself tonight and if you don't like him, keep quiet and she will get rid of him.  an angelic monkey
My husband is now wearing dress pants and a nice shirt, that's funny he never dresses up when we go to eat. And here I am in brown cords a shirt and I will pop my flip flops on and go.

Might as well be comfortable, huh?

Your mascara thing reminded me of a co-worker of mine.  We work every-other Saturday morning, and this particular day she and her husband had gone to breakfast, and he said something about her having something kinda red up by her eyebrow.  She started to wipe at it, and he said it was on the other side too.  Long story short, she'd used lipliner instead of eyebrow pencil on her eyebrows.  She asked him why he hadn't said anything before, and he said Well, I just thought you were trying something new.  I laughed so hard I cried.
That's funny  So now the phone rang my husband got it, and they aren't going to dinner because he is sick, and my husband says okay, hope he feels better. I grabbed the d@mn phone and called her back and asked her what is going on. That fool is moaning in the background that he doesn't feel good, blah, blah. I said to her, he's kidding right, tell him to get his butt in the car and get to the place to eat, if he is that sick take him to the hospital otherwise. If and when I ever meet this kid I'm going to slap him silly. My daughter goes, I will meet you there, I said, why, we know who you are, we want to meet him. I believe my last words on the phone were, you can really pick them. I better calm down, and now my husbands going well let's us go to eat, as I stormed up the stairs.

Perhaps he is afraid of meeting you?  Who knows?  I suspect if this continues, the situation might fix itself.  She'll probably get tired of being with a baby man, and try to find someone who's an adult.  Hang in there, no rose.

Vet just called, the evil one can come home tomorrow barring no more belly problems. He says he isn't having problems with the arthritis, but he may change his medicine and will give me samples. I am so happy. Thanks for all your prayers my sweet monkey friends. I am going to go to watch the closing of the Olympics, but will probably be asleep before it is over.

God Bless and sweet dreams. Thanks for ALL your prayers.  an angelic monkey

I am getting the feeling the boy is trying to avoid this meeting.

This has gone beyond ridiculous.

Sorry, no rose!

He is nothing but a whiny momma's boy, and now he better be afraid to meet me. That whining he was doing in the background, give me a break. Wait until she comes home, I know she can't stand that kind of whining, I'm going to ask her what do you see in this guy?

I hear that!  I don't know how old your daughter is, but I hope she knows that a momma's boy probably isn't likely to change.  She will have to baby him around forever, if it lasts that long.  Stick with your convictions, and maybe she'll start to listen to you.

She is 23, and she doesn't need to be taking care of a baby.

Agreed.  We all want the best for our children, and it's frustrating when we can see so clearly that they are making choices we know will not be good for them.  Prayers for you and your daughter, so she will make the right decision when it comes to this young man (and I use the term loosely).

JSM -  for Josef! I bet you are going to be glad to get him home!

NRCG - I am so glad that my son picked a good one - but since they are still babies I am sure it will not last. I would not put up with a baby man - mine is a real man - but I did not do so well last time - I do believe I was afraid to introduce him to my mom and dad too. The second one not so much. Get her the book "10 stupid things women do to mess up their lives"  perhaps she will take good advice from someone else!
