Good morning everyone. Don't know how much longer this computer is going to work. Told my husband to transfer money, I'm going to buy a new laptop which is also broken  and a new desk top.

Get to Walmart or Best Buy right now!  By the way one of the people of Walmart is a hasher with JAG's mother's group Humpin Hash - he is the one with the snake around his neck - saw it on their Humpin Hash forum. 

And I better not see him at my Walmart. I swear that I must have been living under a rock before I started reading on these forums. My eyes have opened up to so much stuff, and now I just wish they would close, and I could be stupid again

killing time waiting for some friends to arrive from Chicago to spend the rest of the afternoon with us and going to dinner with them..great friends!
 Hope that everyone's pets are feeling better today...our dog is over 12 yrs old..he isn't as frisky as he used to be...he sleeps more than he used to...but he still gets a spry moment here and there...still loves to go for walks etc...but he has slowed down...even more so since we had to put his companion Abby down last summer...he misses her ....we do too...

  It is just as hard for the animal as it is for the person. When our cat died, Zoe was absolutely saddened, we were all very hurt by her death. Have a great afternoon.

NoRose, I'm glad to see "you're still on".  I hope that fixed your computer.   

JSM, I'm praying for Josef.  I've always hated giving pills to my cats!  I get myself completely worked up about it and my cats feed off my stress.
Do you think maybe the pills are affecting Josef's appetite?  If they are antibiotics, they might hurt his stomach.  I get really nauseated and crappy feeling when I have to take them.  In fact, the further along I get with taking a prescription, the worse I feel.   

Hi Numbers, I think you are right about the pills maybe affecting his appetite. They are antibiotics so that makes a lot of sense. Thank you. I can't imagine giving pills to a cat. Ouch, must be all kinds of scratching and biting doing that. Thanks for the prayers and I do think Josef feeds off my stress like your cats do you.

I'm glad you got a new computer NoRose.  I helped my brother set up a new laptop a few months ago.  His had Windows 7 and it looked really foreign to me (I use Windows XP).  It took a little while and I'm still not crazy about the settings but he's OK with them.  Why does everything have to be so darned complicated?

I don't know but I have trouble following directions, especially with anything electronic  I'm sure if my husband doesn't figure it out I will have to call our cable company to come by. We pay extra every month, so if there are problems, or need something hooked up they will come by. I have to have 2 cups of coffee and about 5 cigs to muster up the courage to do it.  I get the meds out and grab a bath towel to hold his legs so he can't run/scratch.  I try to scoop up the kitty, he gets away, I chase him down the hall and he's under the bed.  I go back outside for another cig or 3!  (repeat as necessary)  After the 2nd day, he runs when I open the cabinet where the medicine is.

Liquids are a little easier.  I use a syringe and put it in the corner of his mouth and shoot.  Then I wipe all the medicine off my face and cabinets, change my shirt and have a cig. 
 
It's an ordeal that leaves me completely frazzled.

I'm so bad at it, I've been known to take them to the vet daily to have them do it.

Sounds just like giving medicine to my kids when they were little

Thanks, it is raining and it doesn't bother him, bothers me though plus my umbrella is broken.
