Sigh....I can look at pictures all day that were just now released in Caylee's case, but if there is no explanation to some of the pics, it does no good. I sure hope someone has some explanations to some of the pics, I don't know what I'm all looking at

O.K.,I have one rant and I will be nice.
DIL came to pick up Sidekick for school.Granddaughter had not eaten breakfast,so I was making sure she had food on the go and Sidekick was hiding in the closet because apparently he thought he could get away with it.He was crying because he had to go home.
It's not his fault his Mom is a dumba**.Yep,I said it.
All Moms should....
Get up and fix breakfast and put a smile on your face when you do it.
Make sure when a child looks in your eyes they see a "I am so happy to see you today"look.
Hug them and tell them you love them.
Remember, they are a gift.    an angelic monkey

I said there is no excuse for kids to go to school without breakfast......I may be on a chit list now.   It is all about the kids  PERIOD.
I am going to a corner now.
You are right, unless the child is given some breakfast at school. I don't know how that works, when I was in school in the later years, there was a cafeteria, but I don't recall breakfast. Maybe some schools do that now, I don't know. Poor little sidekick, he wants to stay with you and not go to school. If you are on her chit list, which I hope you are not, you only told her the truth. My daughter gets mad at me, and I just look at her and say, I just told you the truth, and if you don't like, well.....   Hope your day goes better Trimm  an angelic monkey

You can get breakfast at school in the mornings.School started a couple hours late this morning, due to icy conditions in some areas. So kids will go straight on to lunch later.I just get bent about kids.I can't help it.
That couple of minutes for toast or a pop tart is  time you never get back.It is an opportunity to chat a minute and let  them know they are special.
Most of the time I can handle the DIL,but the past couple of months have a little daunting for me.She can learn to grin and bare it too.

I'm with you Trimm, it doesn't take that long for cereal or toast or a poptart. Thanks for the info about school breakfasts, I wasn't sure, and I'm trying to think when my kids went to school about breakfast, and I can't remember. But they always ate here at home. My oldest even liked that Carnation breakfast drink. I'm sorry you are having such frustration with your DIL. Maybe she is going through a crisis or something. But I sure understand your worry about your grandkids. Little sidekick sure loves you  an angelic monkey I'm sure your granddaughter does also, but you seem to have a very special bond with the little guy, you are very lucky, and so are they to have you.

I have no ideas, I'm no scientist by a long shot. My question with some of the stains in the trunk, without knowing, how do we know if those stains weren't there previously? I can just imagine stains that may be under my car mats or trunk liner  There is some chemist or some expert on WS explaining stuff, but I'm lost with some of it anyway

Morning Monkeys

I was reading about Canada's Curling team this morning. Their alternate is 5 1/2 months pregnant. Only one other time has there been a pregnant women competing in the Olympics and that was 90 years ago  A Swedish figure skater won gold while she was in her first trimester. I think it's so cool of Canada

Trimm I am so sorry to hear about your problems with your DIL and the grand kids. Yes kids need to have some breakfast in the mornings. I don't think most young parents today understand that. It's rush - rush hurry up. They just don't get it. Daughter lives with us and I get up and make sure the youngest gets up and has his breakfast and the older two have the option if they choose to. If not it's hurry up or you will be late.

I understand about DIL they are  different from daughters that's for sure. I haven spoken to mine in 3 years. It's very sad. I called her three years ago to wish her a happy birthday she didn't answer her cell so called sons and told him why I was calling and he yelled at mom wishes you a happy birthday. Figured oh well I have tried and kept getting slapped in the face. So I talk to grand kids and son, but no DIL. It's very sad but it's her choice.

Well at least it is coming. And I hear you about your DIL. That is how I feel about my husband's brother's wife. No way, no how, will I ever talk, look, or think about that witch again. She is nothing but an abusive witch.

I'm sorry No Rose you hare having a bad day and your appointment isn't until tomorrow. I hope you have something to take to make you feel better.

The alternate rarely plays unless someone gets hurt drinking beers after the game    If it is clear that the rink will win a medal they will let the alternate play a few ends so they can as well get a medal.  It is pretty cool though I agree!  They got tattoos when they qualified

CALGARY - It was a promise Cheryl Bernard figured she wouldn't have to keep.

The Calgary curler made a deal with teammate Cori Bartel that if they qualified for the Olympics they'd get tattoos to mark the achievement.

So when Bernard's rink won the Olympic trials in Edmonton last month, Bartel was quick to remind her skip about the agreement they'd made.

"It was probably two or three years ago when we started this process and Cori and I are actually the ones who kind of decided this is what we're going to do,'' Bernard said in an interview Thursday at her Calgary gym. "I don't know that I ever believed it would happen and Cori reminded me the minute we won.''

The week after their victory, Bernard, Bartel and teammate Susan O'Connor headed to the tattoo parlour. The lone holdout was second Carolyn Darbyshire, whose daughter didn't want her to do it.

The three curlers now have the colourful Olympic rings and a small Maple Leaf branded on the inside of their forearms.

"I'm like, if I'm ever going to get a tattoo this is going to be the one I wanted,'' Bernard said. "It's something even my grandmother would approve of.''

They're not the first Canadian curlers to get tattoos. Shannon Kleibrink and her teammates, who competed at the 2006 Games in Turin, had the rings and a Maple Leaf tattooed on their ankles.

Bernard, 43, has altered her body to mark a special occasion before. She got a stud in her right nostril to celebrate her 40th birthday and plans to keep it in during the Olympics.

"Oh yeah, I never take it out,'' she said. "It was my 'I made it to 40 thing' and it was just kind of spur of the moment and you know what - I like to do kind of different things.''

So does that mean there be more tattoos in the future?

"It hurt a lot,'' she said. "Someone asked me if I win a medal if I intend to add to it and the answer is no.''

DIL,well I am not sure exactly what is going on,got some thoughts but I love her and hope she works through it.   an angelic monkey  She knows I am here if she needs me.

I am gonna pop over to WS and see how they are interpreting some of today's finding.

Oh, I sure understand a 12 year old girl and how mom and grandma aren't that cool anymore, oh well we've all been there, and just like us she will come around. That's a very tough age. I sure hope your DIL works through things also, and she knows you are there to help  an angelic monkey I've been reading on WS, it is unusual, not as many posts with this doc dump like it has been in the past.

It's alright JSM, sometimes I just dwell and feel sorry for myself, and then I snap out of it. They just called from the doctor's office to verify my appt for tomorrow so I'm glad. Yesterday on the phone, I could barely understand the office girl, her English wasn't the best, and I was nervous if I heard her correctly
