Speaking about Elton John, there is a great little movie from 1971 called Friends, that Elton wrote the music for. I think that is his best work, so much so I used part of the soundtrack for my wedding. But back in the day when Elton was rocking at the piano, and would sort of slide under it and play, that was cool. A few years back, we went to see him again. Well this time when he slid under the piano, I turned too my husband and bet him 10 bucks he wasn't going to be able to hoist his body back on the piano seat. He eventually made it back on the seat, but I swear he looked like some old scrub woman performing that night. 

That is so funny No Rose that you bet ten dollars.

It was really awful, and I've been too a lot of concerts, but this one was the first where I could actually look around and look and feel like a teenager. Most of the people there were much older. So that felt good to feel young for one night

Hello everyone!!!

I have missed you all very much. I am on my husband's computer since mine died a miserable and horrible death at the beginning of the week. I have spent the time on his computer to keep up with this thread and my avatar thread only. (Although I am 4 pages behind here today.)

We ordered me a new computer with XP/Windows7 and paid for the expedited shipping so it should be here today and husband will get it set up for me tonight when he gets home.

Tevye ...you are so lucky yours could be fixed! Mine would not boot windows, even the bios could not find my harddrive!

Anyway, I wanted to check in and let you all know where I have been. I have been thinking of all of you. And I have never, in 14 years of being online gone this long without a computer! It has been hell for me.

Although I don't think a soul has read it from the looks of posts I have received over there. LOL

Man with 'brutal' smell ejected from from Air Canada flight

CHARLOTTETOWN — Raising a stink — literally — grounded a man’s intention to fly from Charlottetown to Montreal earlier this month.
A man with foul body odour boarded an Air Jazz plane on Feb. 6, and was left to sit by himself.


Penny Walsh, of Charlottetown, was moved to another seat by an Air Canada employee so she would not have to ride alongside the man who was giving off an unpleasant aroma.


“People were just mumbling and staring at him,” said Ms.  Walsh. “The guy next to me said ‘it’s brutal’.”

Is this ghost at the Castle?

A GHOSTLY girl snapped at a ruined castle could be the spirit of a Countess who lived there, experts said last night.
A photo of the building showed the mystery figure at a window - as The Sun revealed yesterday.

Researchers think the spectre is Winifred, Countess of Dundonald.

She inherited Gwrych Castle - hailed as one of Britain's most haunted sites - in 1894.

Locals in Abergele, North Wales, believe she fell out with caretaker Bill Price and haunted him after she died in 1924.

Bill would lock up the library at night only to find it opened next morning. Items had been mysteriously moved.

Ghost author Mark Baker, who founded Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust, said: "Mr Price and the Countess did not get on terribly well.

 
"Maybe their problem continued past the grave."

However, former photographer Harry Moffitt, 76, believes the ghost is a servant girl who died falling off a horse on the estate.

He saw the apparition on a visit to the castle 60 years ago and said: "I remember it vividly."

Company boss Kevin Horkin, 48, took the spooky snap of the castle - derelict since 1985 - but only realised there was a figure at the first-floor window later.

Floorboards beneath the window rotted away years ago, making it impossible for any human to stand there.
