I haven't had a tuna casserole in years. Are you not allowed to eat meat on Friday during Lent? As a kid we couldn't eat meat on any Friday, and then that changed.

I remember as a kid not being able to eat meat on Fridays - but I would sneak some during school - always wished that Jesus would have been a dairy farmer so there would be no fish on Fridays!   

  One of my friends in high school use to do that too theboyzmom.

Morning all,

  I guess I am the odd one I love pastel colors. Only in the last couple years have I added some black to my wardrobe. 

Woke up this morning to thunder JSM seems it will be off and on all day.  Be safe going to church.

NRCG  Are you still getting rain today?

We are, good thing it isn't down pours and it is on and off.

Thats good. You guys have been hammered this year. Hows your foot and finger doing? Have you heard anything from the doctor on your finger? Isn't it amazing how much you use your little finger and not even realize it until you hurt it and every time you use it it hurts.

I have ruptured tendons in my finger, and the top of my left foot is sprained and has spurs. I will be seeing the orthopedic doctor Thursday.

I am so pissed. I hate my internet provider. I have to have satellite because we live in a rural area. When I signed up they did not tell me I had a download limit. GRRRRRRR  Then I up graded to get to get a bigger limit because my daughter worked from home. I pay major bucks and we still go over. To get unlimited I would have to lay out another 800 bucks for new equipment and another 40 bucks a month. We got kicked off this morning for going over the download limit and to get it up and running again I had to pay another 11 bucks. We don't watch any of the videos posted or any live streams because of it. It just gets me how they can get away with it. But my only other options is dial up and that wont work with my daughter working from home. I would love to tell them to go spin on a fence post.
Sorry about the rant. It just really upsets me they can do this.

I want it played at my funeral (in 40 years), but, at 5:05 thru 7:12, the violins get really wild..I've decided that's the piece of music I will use to explains souls going to heaven to my grandchildren.

Breaking Olympic News Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette's mom passed away from a heart attack today. Please keep Joannie in your prayers. I was so hoping she would win the Gold.

That is awful, never heard of that much money for the use of the internet. Dial up, we had that for a couple years, that was maddening. These businesses get away with whatever they can. We have had a Visa card for 20 years, we don't use it at all, just there for emergencies. Now we get a letter in the mail, that we have to pay 60 bucks a year just to have it. My husband wants to cancel it, but I want it there in case of emergencies.

NRCG...I had to laugh about your crows or ravens. Buzzards roost in the tree across the road from me. They come ins late in the afternoon. So I tell everybody I have to step lively when I go out the door....they are waiting on me to croak . If I get any slower they are gonna start swooping.

No meat during Lent, they changed the rules after Vatican II.

Pepcid works great for Zoe. Because she has irritable bowel, when I take her out and she starts grazing on the grass, I then know that as soon as I get her in the house she has to have a pill. Is Josef vomiting bile?

Yes, No Rose, he is vomiting bile except the other day when he was eating grass, then he vomited a whole bunch of grass. I talked to the vet yesterday and he said we may need to change his medicine or give him Pepcid.

I go just crazy when Zoe eats grass, she just go nuts eating it, and I try to stop her because I never know what may have been sprayed on the grass as far as insect control. We have been dealing with Zoe and this since we brought her home. She is on a special prescription diet, mixed with another hard dog food. She can't eat soft dog food at all, she really gets the runs from that.

Gosh our dogs are two peas in a pod. He does the same thing and I hate it when he eats the grass. In fact he tried eating some grass when we just took our walk. I will try Pepcid and see if that helps.,

I lose them or they break in the wind. I have two huge umbrellas but usually leave them at work and forget to bring them home.

I'm telling you the day my umbrella went up from the wind and rain, someone should have been taping that. I was trying to fix it while holding onto Zoe's leash. It must have been a sight to see. 

I can only imagine No Rose, that has happened to me before. I felt like Mary Poppins holding onto Cujo.

NoRose I like Barbara Stanwyck too.  Loved her in the Thorn Birds one of my favorite movies. She won an academy award for her role in this movie.

  WOW!! I guess she was the Original COUGAR! Why did she want to seduce the priest? I remember when that movie was on TV but I didn't watch it.

Good Morning JSM!  Start taking your allergy meds such as Claritin now and take them everyday - March is when they start to kick in and my doc told me if you havent been taking the meds regularly March is the time to start.  If you can rent the movie it is awesome, but long.

I am going to start taking Claritin tomorrow. I can't believe it is almost March  don't remind me, I will be one year older. Arrrggghhhhh.

I will try and find that movie because it looks really good. Maybe they have it all on YouTube.

I think it is on Youtube but the DVD's might be better it is so good.  Ahhhh so you have a birthday coming huh?  Time to plan a party!  When should we be planning for?  I like Claritin it really works well for me and no drowsiness.

We are having a suprise party that night for my Uncle's 60th birthday at some restaurant so I don't get to pick where I want to go. Plus of course it is on a Friday and I guarantee there won't be anything I can eat at that restaraunt. Arrgggh. I really just wanted my mom to make tuna casserole for my birthday, but she is leaving for England the day after my birthday. GUILT TRIP on her, she is gonna have to bring me back lots of presents. 

If I were near you I would make you a tuna casserole - in fact I would make you Northern Rose's recipe - it is fabulous - it is in the recipe thread - maybe you should print it out and give it to your mom and ask her to make it for you then you will have your own special homemade dinner.  Trust me it is good.

How sweet of you Mission. I really would like her to make one, but she would probably tell me to make it myself. I guess I could print out Northern's recipe and make it myself. But that would mean I have to go to the grocery store.

  We always had cheese pizza or fishsticks and macaroni and cheese for lunch. There was no sneaking meat to school. It is really hard working at a Baptist hospital eating in the cafeteria. Nothing to choose from but grilled cheese or tuna on Fridays. All other days they have grilled salmon or tilapia. Not on Fridays. I think they do that to us on purpose.
