I don't really have anything to add to the conversation, except to say that I too am glad the locals were not mourning Paulus and are now not pleased to have Joran in residence.  I surely wish they'd DO something about it.

Anyway, I'll wholeheartedly second Anna's wishes for a wonderful day to ALL monkeys.  We stand with the girl and today we are one day closer to Justice.
 

I am wondering why Joran is still on Aruba.  Surely they aren't still planning a memorial for the dead coward,
Paulus, after almost a month.  Is he waiting around to line his pockets with the life insurance money?
Maybe he is helping Anita pack to move to NL.  Whatever, he no doubt has an ulterior motive.

ORANGE CITY - The Public Prosecutor (OM) is not coercive fines and a solution to the shocking images of road accident victims who sometimes appear in the press. The prosecution has big game and press freedom, says a statement by traffic officer Jaap Zondervan. He finds that press self-regulation "should work.

According to Zondervan, journalists and photographers have self awareness and what is not. "It is not the role of the OM to determine what should be published. Ask yourself if what you publish, is responsible to the victims family and friends to. "Press freedom gives media a lot of freedom regarding the publishing of photographs and texts. "As long as no untruths are published, you can not too much to do," said the prosecutor. There is no legal framework that excesses publishing gruesome pictures, can be addressed. Police spokesman Papito Comenencia complained yesterday about the lack of front Amigoe measures that the Corps could use against intrusive photographers and journalists. "Only if I can do hand out fines or imprison people can do, I can make a difference," he said yesterday.

In the Netherlands the police with "flex screens, screens that viewers take away the sight of an accident. "Especially along the highway is often used," says Zondervan. "Vans and screens to ensure that as few people as possible to look the other lane. So ie files created. "Such scenes could possibly be used on Aruba. "This is the police," said officer Zondervan.

After drugging, and then raping the girls, his motif was that the girls would be confused from the drug, unsure of what had happened, and just really, really just wanting to go home to Mom, and not be embarrassed, which makes van der Sloot a cold blooded serial rapist: period.

Frank told me he stood on that beach, and you could see it all.

van der Sloot went to the well one time too many, and OD'd someone, finally.

His friends helped him hide the body to avoid the initial search,and then, he just walked her out to the sandbar, and cast her into the sea.

Why the Aruba and Dutch authorities are protecting a confessed. more than once, a confessed scumbag serial rapist and manslaughterer is beyond me, just as I have never understood why Federal or Alabama authorities don't lay murder charges agaisnt him, if the Ducth won't, put a bounty on his head, and drag him back to Alabama to get the attempted rape, kidnapping, and manslaughter charges he deserves, before he hurts anyone else, and to give the Holloway family justice, finally.

I realize this is nothing new, but it just makes me so angry!  Why didn't anybody ever stand up for these girls?  If his modus operandi was so freaking well known...ugh.  I hope those that stood silently by are forever haunted by the memory of Natalee.  I hope when they close their eyes at night to go to sleep they see Beth Holloway and hear her pleading for help and for justice.

 

I was glad to see this article by someone from Natalee's neighborhood because sometimes I think this is exactly what happened.

Oh, I know it's not the popular view on this forum and I am likely to chastised for even saying it.  AGAIN.  But the reason I wonder if this is not exactly what happned is because it is what Joran was saying the next day at school, when he was still half drunk, IN MY OPINION.

He said Natalee hit her head swimming and he pushed her our to sea.  Of course, I don't think she hit her head or had any accident other than an overdose from Joran but he did say he swam out and pushed her out to sea.  That was his FIRST account of things and would account for why no one has since come forth and ratted his sorry ass out.

He had not had the pool meeting and been told much yet by Paulus in regard to how to lie and what story to tell.  But it is possible he did exactly what he said he did the next day.  And would fit Occam's Razor theory.

But then I have never tied myself to any one theory because I have never seen what convinced me of one over another that didn't call for huge leaps of conclusion and speculation.

And unless I come to a conclusion myself, I am not persuaded by what others speculate.  But I will agree that the coverup and deflection from Joran was massive.  It was an attempt to protect and preserve their tourism and they would stop at nothing to do that.

Should it ever become public knowledge that the favorite sport of the locals was drugging rand raping the tourist girls on their last night on the island, Aruba would have hell to pay so of course, they went into overdrive to hide that fact.  Even more so than to protect the Joran aspect of it.

Just one of several possibilities I think about from time to time. . . .and it is not pleasant to think the truth ultimately lies with Joran of all the liars involved in this.

My impatience tell me that the timing is right for that next book but ... you both know best.  Not only is there "the evidence" that was not included included in LOVING NATALEE ... there is so many hard question that need to be answered regarding some who claim justice for Natalee but whose actions within the past 2 1/2 years appear to be furthering the Aruban coverup that was established at the getgo.  Maybe John Silvetti could be a start.

If you will recall, they were actually chasing Joran in the streets in the Netherlands following the airing of his tapes on the de Vries program.  The reaction was much worse than in Aruba, IMO.  I think he is more comfortable in Aruba because at least no one has threatened his life or chased him on the streets there.

And isn't their concern for freedom of the press suddenly touching!  That's not what they were saying when it was the U.S. press exposing their dark side to all the world.

Guess they only asknowledge it when it suits their whims.  Someone has gotten a clue as to how barbaric their photos appear to the rest of the world and so they are in their usual phony manner trying to adjust that.  Not out of concern or respect for the dead but respect for the tourist dollar they don't want to offend. 

The tourist dollar comes before any consideration for anything else in Aruba.  Don't ever forget that.

I am not sure what came first.....the chicken or the egg.   I think that Van der Straaten and the others involved
in the initial cover-up, brought the tourism effect into play to get the AHATA and government involved in continuing
the conspiricy against a resolution to Natalee's case.

March 9, 2010



ORANGE CITY - A bus International School of Aruba (ISA) has clashed Monday in a car. Some students who were in the bus, came to the terror Fri Nobody was injured.

The accident happened around half past three at the crossroads of the Bilderdijkstraat to Byron Street. The car drove on the Bilderdijkstraat towards the Vondellaan and did not grant priority to the bus which drove Byron Street. At the intersection the vehicles came into contact with each other roughly. The car was dragged through the intersection and came to rest on the sidewalk. The blow was good, witness the damage to the passenger. Bystanders noted that, apart from the driver happy, nobody else in this car Sat "Otherwise there were injuries."
A spokesman said that the ISA students all wore their belts. "So you see again the importance of wearing a seat belt." The students themselves seemed not much upside to the accident. Some students even got to take pictures of the damage to the vehicles.

If Beth Holloway was not a believer in Kyle Kingman's own words regarding the John Silvetti betrayal ... I firmly believe that the Natalee's Freebirds would not have been afforded her permission to expose Kyle's posts.  After all ... the reputations of John Silvetti and credibility of the Persistence undertaking were in the balance.

During the journey of the Persistence to Aruba, Kyle reached out and emailed with us.  During that time, one of the questions posed to him was regarding protocol if/when Natalee's remains were found.
 
Kyle's response was that he was unsure, but felt that would be settled before the search began.
 
The cautions were given to him about the lack of integrity on the part of Aruba's law enforcement, prosecutor's office, and its judiciary.
 
Contact with Kyle continued throughout the duration of the search by the Persistence.
 
Once back home, Kyle asked us for our help.  He was very concerned about the activities that transpired during their search - specifically surrounding the find of the fishing cage and its contents.  Kyle wanted our help in presenting this information in a factual way, to then be given to Natalee's family. 
 
This was March 18, 2008.  At that time, Kyle assured us he had just recently sent the images from the Dec 30th and Jan 7th dives to the FBI, but had never received a response from them.
 
We later found that to be false.
 
Also at that time, Beth's brother saw the images Kyle had shared with us - but none of the detail he shared later.

We compiled the images Kyle presented us, along with his opinions and the facts surrounding the sequence of events regarding that fishing cage.  Kyle stated he would be getting in touch with Beth Holloway.
 
We later found out that never happened.

At this time, Kyle shared with us the broadcast networks he had approached in February, in an attempt to sell these images to the highest bidder.
 
This didn't concern us greatly at that time - as we were under the impression US law enforcement and Natalee's family had already been made aware of their find.
 
Approximately May 2008 Kyle began dodging questions for details (we had asked for names of Aruban police and divers to be included in our documentation of these events), hedging on moving forward with this, and then he completely disappeared from our board.
 
During that time, we learned Kyle had never contacted Beth, or Dave, or the FBI with this information.
 
We put our original plan into motion - that of presenting this information in a clear and concise manner, and we sent it to Beth Holloway.
 
Beth was disturbed, needed time to digest the information, and wanted to share it with someone she trusts.
 
When Tim Miller was returning to Aruba this past fall, Beth gave us permission to release this information publicly. At that point, we gave it to John Kelly, Carmen Adams with the FBI, and got it ready for public consumption.

The next step was to publish this information at our blog.
 
One of our members felt we were betraying Kyle in doing so, contacted him, and he re-surfaced at our site with threats of litigation against us - stating this was his "intellectual property" and we could not use it.
 
That of course concerned us greatly - as none of us could afford to be sued.
 
He also stated at that time, Luis Shaefer had just recently sold the rights of the video of these images to a broadcast company for the purposes of a documentary.
 
We contacted legal counsel and were advised to keep our distance from any Persistence crew member, in the face of potential obstruction/accessory charges.
 
At this point, one of our members decided to brace for the possibility of civil litigation, resigned from our membership to protect it from same, and posted what he knows to be factual at SM.
 
Kyle did tell us human remains were found in that fish cage.
 
Kyle did tell us about John Silvetti's intent to open an office on the island of Aruba, to enable him ease in conducting business in South America, and Aruba.
 
Kyle also told us of John's absolute refusal to give that fish cage and its contents any credence - before even it was inspected on Jan 7th.
 
Kyle told us in no uncertain terms that Tim Miller and Dateline were abruptly removed from the Persistence on Dec 30, resulting in only Persistence crew being aboard between that date and the Jan 7 dive of the Arubans.
 
Nothing that was posted at SM by kermit was incorrect, out of context, or in any way false.

This is akin to a pediatrician practice that is molesting kids, but the doctor your kid sees hasn't yet been implicated so you keep taking your kid and as long as it's someone else's kid, no worries. Thank God that crazy woman isn't my wife. 

And you know, the biggest problem here, aside from all the other problems, is that Aruba wants to be the big mac daddy of East Coast tourism and bills themselves that way. They seem to forget that a big tourist destination cares about their customers and not just their dollars, and when Americans figured that out they stopped going. PERIOD.. Elaine. No more mojitos for you babe - you're punch drunk and stuck on stoopid. And, ofcourse, there will always be people like Hotshot who wonder why they have not been drugged and gang-raped and left on the beach. Believe it or not - there are people that sick.

Your best customer is your last customer and Aruba forgot that in their unquenchable greed.

Aruba is a mirage. End of story.

The car drove on the Bilderdijkstraat towards the Vondellaan and did not grant priority to the bus which drove Byron Street. At the intersection the vehicles came into contact with each other roughly. The car was dragged through the intersection and came to rest on the sidewalk. The blow was good, witness the damage to the passenger. Bystanders noted that, apart from the driver happy, nobody else in this car Sat "Otherwise there were injuries."
A spokesman said that the ISA students all wore their belts. "So you see again the importance of wearing a seat belt." The students themselves seemed not much upside to the accident. Some students even got to take pictures of the damage to the vehicles.

Right after the accident pictures were taken Papito rounded up all of the little criminals
and put them in the KIA.
