klaas - I'm so glad you posted these pix. As soon as I saw the first post with a pix of the "death house" (EURobert?) I thought OMG - Lorenzo? I remember we had photos from the drug raid on his house. If Lorenzo's is the house Joran is talking about, he's opened a huge can of worms!

No, this house is smaller and right on the street.  See the pavement right in front of it on the ground?  You can see others like it through the bushes with similar shapes and colored roof, etc.

It appears to be a new subdivision and I have wondered about the female witness who said she saw the Kalpoes driving around and around her house that night.  She was in such a development.  Then she retracted her statement.

re. the house - I haven't seen the clips. Lorenzo's house is on a relatively remote piece of property, so if there are other houses close by, it isn't the one.

Speaking of off the record comments, we were told were to find Joran at the International School on a Friday , June 2 or 3, have it in my notes. Was also told Joran hit Natalee with an aluminum baseball bat…in the head. The same man told me both stories and guess what, Joran was at the International School that day, hiding. He was sleeping over there rather than home,,, scared he was. The fine Aruba Police followed us to the school that day or maybe we would already have solved this case. Yeah Karin, a bounch of cowboys…

While I think that was excellent logic, I think that possibly the only difference I believe is that the boys buried her by the fishermans hut, and Paulus and Co moved her without the boys knowledge because of Joran's confession and the fact the boys recorded conversation  indicate they don't know where she is now. Also, if Lorenzo is involved, maybe Guido was there only the party was at Lorenzo's?

Natalee Holloway's Mother 'Guardedly Optimistic' About New Arrest

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands  —  The mother of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway is "guardedly optimistic" about the Dutch arrest last week of a new suspect in connection with their daughter's disappearance.

"An arrest is better than no arrest, so hopefully it will bring about something," said Beth Holloway Twitty, mentioning how there have been many supects and arrests but few answers.

Guido Wever, an Aruba national, is expected to face charges Tuesday in a Dutch courtroom connection with the disappearance of the high school senior. Wever's lawyer, Gerard Spong was expected to file a suit Monday to prevent his extradition to the Caribbean island on charges of "assisting in the murder, heavy battery and kidnapping" of the teen.

In Joran's statements the name "Guido" does not enter the picture until the evening of May 30, 2005.  Think about the suspicions that warranted his detention.

Joran van der Sloot - Suspect Statement - June 14, 2005

My tennis lesson was between the hours of 18.00 pm and 19.00 pm. According to me I was not called by anyone during that time. I had also made no calls myself. Approximately 19.00 pm, I was ready with playing tennis. I showered in the clubhouse. After I had finised showering I got dressed. I do not remember what I put on that day. I was wearing a short trousers and a T-shirt. It looked pretty nice/proper. I also wore slippers. Then I called "Andre". I do not remember his phone number. Andre lives near the Marriot Hotel. We had agreed that we would meet at the Wyndham Hotel at approximately 20.00 pm to play poker. I had then also called Guido. Guido had told me that he had to go to work. He would come later and try to enter the tournament for half time.  At approximately 19.15 pm I left on foot for the Wyndham Hotel. ....

At approximately 22.30, Guido arrived at the Wyndham Casino. Guido and myself went for a circular walk. After that Guido and myself walked to his car. His car was in the parking lot of the Wyndham Hotel. After that we drove to the Aruba Grant so that I could cash in my chips at the cashier. These were the chips that I had won earlier. Because it had turned eight o'clock earlier I had been unable to cash my chips then. Guido and myself played black jack in the Aruba Grant Casino for about 45 minutes. At the Aruba Grant I had won approximately U.S. 50,-. After that, at approximately 23.15 pm Guido and I arrived at the Radison Casino. I went to play poker. I was busy playing poker when I was called by Andre. He asked me where I was. I had told him that I was at the Radison Hotel. He told me he would come by there. Deepak had also asked me where I was. I told him that I was at the Radison Casino. Deepak told me that he would be there as soon as possible. At approximately 01.00 am Deepak came over to me. Andre was there too. I was on a roll. I played for about another hour. At approximately 02.00 am I stopped playing. I had "cashed out" my chips. Deepak wanted to go and play black jack. I didn't know why but he wanted to go to the Wyndham Casino. According to him he had no luck at the Radisson Casino. At approximately 02.30 am, Deepak and myself were walking to his car. He was there in his Honda Civic. The car was parked in the parking lot of the Radisson Hotel. Guido left to take Andre home.

He can't tell the truth, he will never tell the truth.  He wants all of this attention and is, I'm sure, enjoying it.

He gets a sick, twisted pleasure out of reliving Natalee's death and from putting her parents and her family through the pain of it over and over again.  He likes to rub all of our noses in the fact that he knows what happened and we don't.

Joran is a rotten piece of shit.

I can't imagine it will be long before someone from Aruba puts an end to all this to save their island.  Joran deserves much much worse than even the terrible fate that awaits him.

My father acted as a driver for our two passengers in his green pick-up of the make Ford Ranger, license plate number "A-23793". We drove first to Wendy's Palm Beach to buy food and after we had eaten, my father dropped off Elvis and Gladys at their home. Elvis and Gladys live in the hamlet Noord. I don’t know their address but I can designate to you their house. After we dropped Elvis and wife at their home my father and I went home. I no longer remember what time we got home. I studied first and afterwards slept because I had a "physics" examination to take on Monday, May 30, 2005, from 07.30 till 10.00. I do recall that Joran asked me if I wanted to accompany him to Carlos & Charlies but I answered him that I could not go because I had an examination the next day.

On your question if I on Monday, May 30, 2005, in the night hours, after I went to sleep if anyone woke me or called me:

On Monday, May 30 2005, in the morning hours, my mother wakened me because I had to leave to take my examination. I must say that my sister "Alessandra" and my younger brother "Arthur" went with me in my father’s pick-up to school.

No Anna, I'm not after Lorenzo, just saw a similarity. 
Many island home are similar I expect.  I know they were on the island I once lived.

Well, as usual, I may be the only one but I am used to that, haha, but this seems as likely as anything we have been presented to date to me.

I hope more is revealed Sunday but I think the OM is a bit hasty in dismissing this so quickly.

Even Joran should think twice about naming a real person and location.  He can surely be sued for slander if not giving false information and obstructing justice, etc.  That is, if Aruba had a real justice system.

I am trying to think of one of the old time pimps whose name started with an "A" and who that AB was supposed to have been.  Someone told me a name and now I can't remember.  It was one we have never really discussed much.  Last name three syllables.  I will remember it eventually.
