Natalee Holloway, the Alabama teen who disappeared in Aruba in 2005, is back in the news today. The chief suspect in the case, Joran van der Sloot, told a Dutch TV station he killed Holloway and hid her body in a swamp. This wasn’t the first time the now 22-year old van der Sloot confessed to the crime. In 2007, he was taped saying he and Holloway had sex on a beach where she had a seizure, died and he put her in a boat and dumped her in the ocean. Like with that confession, Aruban authorities investigated van der Sloot’s admission and declared it was nothing more than publicity stunt. My question: Why not just process him? A full-fledged trial has never occurred and van der Sloot continues to taunt Holloway’s family and Dutch authorities. A former colony of The Netherlands still under its rule, Aruba does not have the death penalty, but they do have perjury. He’s either guilty and stupid or he’s a jaded young buck who brazenly wears his defiance on his sleeve. He's definitely proud, but how far will he let his pride—and mouth—take him?

ORANJESTAD — This Sunday evening, the Dutch TV-station RTL5 will be broadcasting the program in which main suspect Joran van der Sloot had made a new confession on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005. Initially, none of the stations had wanted to buy the program from TV-producer ‘Terror Jaap’.

Program director of RTL5, Remko van Westerloo states: “the interview was offered to us last year. Our initial reaction had been skeptic. Nevertheless, we found that the interview gave cause for thorough investigation. We spoke with several experts and the necessary critics. This led to a spectacular special, which we will be broadcasting on Sunday. The viewers may form their own judgment.”
The broadcast will include the findings from the investigation, the original interview with Joran and several follow-up conversations.
During this program from Terror Jaap, Joran is supposedly hooked up to a lie detector. The Public Prosecution (OM) on Aruba is not impressed by the company’s professionalism that had taken the lie detector test, says field officer Peter Blanken. Even Peter R. de Vries, who had elicited a confession from Joran, is not impressed.

I know I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but I'm just gobsmacked!! Dompig?!!  I guess he's been working overtime to earn that bribe money....sheesh.

 

And when you toss in a dose of Kath8700 aka Dadofthree aka Hotshot - you have the makings of a real mess. She almost got a search stopped by TES by claiming she was some sort of affiliate / team member... and TES was almost escorted off the island.

I know I keep harping on this assclown, but good Lord, she should be in jail.  who knows just how much damage she has really done - and I bet she did it out of the goodness of her heart and didn't take a florin.

Ok, once again, I feel naive! I honestly thought she was working with us.  However, after speaking with other SM boycotters, she was not a very like person.  Can we say obnoxcius and overbearing?  I remember a story in Boston, where she brought her  daughter and the whole family and she didn't make things easy.  I took it, she was just another control freak or fame seeker.....   Thanks for the insight and opening my eyes
