Anyway, one of my kids that lives in Birmingham asked me if anything was new as he heard some other kids talking about it today but "forgot" what they were saying.  Yes, I have tried to beat it out of him but to no avail.  He said he thought they found something in Aruba but I bet it was just about the divorce.  

Boys never get the details straight on gossip!

Okay, I was wrong before, and the Lineup is on right now with Kimberley.  She's covered the Denver avalanche and talking about the Williams drive-by murder in Denver right now.

When is Karin Janssen leaving for her retirement?  Is there even enough time left to try a case before she heads home to the Fatherland?

Paulus's attorney asked for all evidence didn't he prior to the award given to Paulus for his wrongful imprisonment of two days.     I don't remember the details of all that but would KJ be required to present all she had at that time?  Can she hold back legally?  Even if it would cause Paulus to win money from the government?

I have never understood how he could receive that judgment, if not the actual florins, if there is still an investigation ongoing.  Who's to say the investigation might not turn up evidence implicating him and he would have already spent the money and would not have it to return, etc.

No, I certainly don't understand their system but I do know when I have been jerked around and that is what they have done about their laws, policies and procedures.

Wasn't KJ due to retire from her position in ARuba before 2007 and take vacation time as well?

My understanding is that only what had been presented to the judge was to be turned over to the presiding judge of the civil case.

Last year in Jan '06, KJ made a statement regarding ability to hold back evidence. Remember when we thought J2K would be requestioned over the '05 Holidays?  KJ said that the only way to compell them to be requestioned would be to present new evidence to the judge of instruction.
She said she felt it more prudent to hold back so that the defnse would not have access to the new evidence.

However, that was back when Steve Cohen appeared on Dr Phil and said they were waiting on very important evidence results to come back from NFI.  Weren't they going to charge the suspects and we would have fireworks by the end of January?  Maybe KJ meant Jan '07.
