Change of venue declared in Couey Case.

I'm equally as discusted with the people he lived with who covered for him.

I agree with you there completely Jacqui ... and I think they should be prosecuted as well...

I don't know much about this case as far as details, just heard it on the news....Were these people granted immunity because they gave info on him?

I think so.  The DA is a jackass.  No balls.  Didn't think he could make a case stick against the roommates.  I hope he doesn't get re-elected to anything ever again.

Whose to say that some of these Judges in many of these cases we hear about are not child molesters themselves, or have family members who are of such...this may be one reason so many judges in recent days are being 'held in contempt'.....as Nancy Grace would say (and even Bill O'Reilly has recently commented on...as many other cable news peeps). It certainly does make one wonder.....
Don't forget Dateline NBC in recent months busting freaks for such deeds, and many of those people involved were of upstanding influences in their communities.....gag me...makes me ill to even think of it.
I also would like to comment on what we are here for.....Natalee and her family and friends who still await justice in this case. I sure hope that soon we will hear from the Judge in this civil matter. 60 day rule has to be on us soon....I have not looked it up to see when that may expire, if indeed she is waiting for such a rule. My best, as always to Beth, Dave, all family and friends of Natalee......let's keep on plugging!!

BAM!  That's gonna leave a mark, Joran!!   Very Happy

I would LOVE to see his face WHEN he sees that and also that of Anita and Paul the proud parents.  There it is, their fine son for all the world to see.  In all his not-so-radiant glory and taken from words uttered by his own smarmy mouth!

Goodnight Tyler.  I'm right behind you.  It's been a long day.  Poor FM--it's heartbreaking to lose a loved pet.  I don't have her email, but FM--I'm so sorry.  You have my heartfelt sympathy and prayers now.

Night all.

Good Morning Monkeys!

Thank you all for your heartfelt sympathy.  I am 45 years old and truly had never had a pet of my own like Kitty.  Sure there were boyfriends with dogs, and family pets that we all shared together but Kitty was truly mine.  She was the first thing on my agenda in the morning and bit my toes every night before we went to sleep.  She greeted me at the door in the evening as if to ask what was for dinner and what kind of fun we could expect to have.  She sat in my white couch and dug at my new rug as if it were a personal toy.  She sat at the top of the couch and did Hinka Pinks and then jumped down and sat next to me while I watched TV - in the morning and at night.  She nudged me with her wet nose until I woke up to feed her and drank water from my water glass on the nightstand as if she owned it (both the nightstand and the water).  She lay with us in bed and looked so relaxed and happy to be there (as much as a cat can do that).  I would cut the succulent white meat from the middle of grilled chicken (not fond of any marinade or spices) and give her a bit, in the last 6 months or so she would actually eat from my hands.  Mr. Mermaid and his ex girlfriend adopted Kitty from a dumpster on Hollywood beach about 9 or 10 years ago but ever since I arrived on the scene (5 years ago) she was more mine than anybody's perhaps sensing my need to be devoted and allowing her tolerance of that devotion.  When she was naughty I would call her Cat9 instead of Cat10 (Kitten).  I sang jingles to her my favorite of which was "Extra value is what you get when you love a kittenette" (from the old Coronet Paper Towel Commercials).  Mr. Mermaid and I would ask one another in the evening around bedtime "Where is Mama's/Papa's Kitten thus signaling an evening ended and that all would be well when she was comfortably in bed with us.  She received Christmas gifts and Catnip on Saturday Nights.  She got brushed and even bathed.  Revolution was dispensed the first day of every month and even an occasional "boat ride" on a raft in the pool which she hated immensely but tolerated on behalf of her adoring Father.  She was aloof and brave and a great hunter.  She left lizards on my pillow and barfed a lot (until I changed all of her foods).  She adored Whiskas kitty milk and to smell my shoes.  I feel as if I have lost a friend or family member and will never forget her as long as I shall live.  Kitty you will live in Mommy’s heart forever!  Bless you my sweet little fluffy thing - I will miss you more than you could ever know!

To all of you Speed Demons out there - slow down - somebody's kitten may be in the road or driveway!

A Police Car actually hit Kitty!

Thanks for caring and thanks for reading my story of a truly wonderful Cat/Friend/Spirit!

Sweetie, I was heart-sick for you when I read about your kitty.  Your post is such a sweet tribute to your beloved Kitty.

I have posted a note for you in the Monkey Lounge.  It is for you and Kitty.  Hugs to you.

Oh, my goodness the whole front page is "delicious."  I recalled Klaas saying she was working on somethiing with you for the morning so when I finished the outside chores, I came in here to look.  Love it.  I especially like the bookcover you two have made for the sporters book on Pimping 101."  I bet we could put a lot do's and don'ts in his pimping book.   Laughing

So not only are they offering lower prices they have a lower occupancy rate as well.  Everything is going downhill fast now, maybe too fast to stop.

Thank you Tyler I saw your concern earlier this morning.  It was my priviledge to cal myself her Mommy.  Mr. Mermaid's ex Girlfriend (Who I have met and talked to before) just called me and we cried like children.  My boss called on his way back from Europe and said to close the office if I must.  I guess people know how much I love My Cat!

I went home for lunch and she was not there....I thought I might just jump out of my skin.

Someone in their neighborhood should just go and beat the holy hell out of them.

this is a case where I am all about vigilante justice... and Couey should be buried alive... you know, do unto others...

When I was a child, just beginning to really understand that everyone was not like my beloved family, and there really was evil in the world, a prisoner escaped from within 100+/- miles from where we lived.  He had broken into the home of a young couple, castrated the father and all the two small male children who died of shock, raped the mother repeatedly and her five-day-old baby.  Eeryone was dead except the mother who spent months in the hospital recuperating and having surgery.  She was later committed to mental institution.  The escaped prisoner was caught and I looked for his trial in the paper for months, and then years later when I asked one of the elder men in our community, what happened to him, he told he "vigilante justice in prison."  I assumed the wardens had killed him from that statement and later on was told that he was killed in the bathroom by his fellow inmates.  I guess there was a time when there were prisoners with a conscience and an intent to thin even their worst from their population.
