I would add that the prices for Aruba that I posted are the least I have seen in 10 years, there is trouble for sure in paradise.

So not only are they offering lower prices they have a lower occupancy rate as well.  Everything is going downhill fast now, maybe too fast to stop.

I always heard poop ran downhill.  Now we're sure!

  So now I can say, "fry the ba$tards!" and not feel guilty....  or better yet ~ cover them in honey and put them in a hole dug into dirt loaded with red ants ~ or them big African ants ~ and let the ants do those guys in!!!

Thanks for the data, Tony.  It is amazing to try and fathom what Aruba owes the vanderSloot family.  I would have to guess the whole island.  I wonder if England would go to such great lengths to protect one of the children of even a royal given the same circumstances.  Oh, I think not.  The Brits would want some kind of justice.  Different mindset from Arubans.

this is a case where I am all about vigilante justice... and Couey should be buried alive... you know, do unto others...

When I was a child, just beginning to really understand that everyone was not like my beloved family, and there really was evil in the world, a prisoner escaped from within 100+/- miles from where we lived.  He had broken into the home of a young couple, castrated the father and all the two small male children who died of shock, raped the mother repeatedly and her five-day-old baby.  Eeryone was dead except the mother who spent months in the hospital recuperating and having surgery.  She was later committed to mental institution.  The escaped prisoner was caught and I looked for his trial in the paper for months, and then years later when I asked one of the elder men in our community, what happened to him, he told he "vigilante justice in prison."  I assumed the wardens had killed him from that statement and later on was told that he was killed in the bathroom by his fellow inmates.  I guess there was a time when there were prisoners with a conscience and an intent to thin even their worst from their population.

Well, don't forget what happened to Jeffrey Dahmer...

So, there's still hope!

Flying Mermaid, I have lost many animals in my lifetime since I am older and came from a pet loving family and even the smallest of them, the youngest of them affect me but I had one who was so special to me, who had comforted me in the years when I was bed-bound whose name was Biskit.  She had been with us several years, before, after and during my illness.  After she died,  when I was up walking again, I would go out to get groceries, etc., and remember when prior to her death, she would be sitting on a bar stool waiting for me to unpack the groceries, or lying across my monitor when I worked/typed, and even following me to the bathroom and back, waiting at the door and once she heard me flush ran right to the lava where she knew we "washed our hands."  That was a painful memory then but it has now become such a sweet one.  Your hurt will diminish and your swet memories remain as time goes by.  I did, however, have to put her pictures away for a period of time.

The Aruban population as a whole does not see the coverup and conspiracy in this case. They too are sheilded from the truth. The american media is not much better. We would be hearing more about Paulus' inconsistencies and the van transcripts if they were interested in justice as much as they are the profit from readership.

We get to hear the confession...sick, twisted waste of oxygen that he is...I watch her Dad on TV and I feel his pain, but I know I can only feel a part of it. What all these parents feel in a loss such as this I hope I never have to experience. I have only one Son.....26 this past May, been a good kid...If something like this had ever or would ever happen to him in the future, I would lose it. I know myself well and I know I would be in a mental institution or in prison for 'an eye for an eye'.

I'm equally as discusted with the people he lived with who covered for him.

Have an aunt who used to go to Aruba/Curacoa years ago, and from reading have known that Aruba was more pricey than other islands.  

You said that these are the lowest prices you've seen, so I assume that even though this is off-season for island travel, that the prices are under the norm for this time of year...is that correct?
