Now I want to know what Joran was doing with Lorenzo!

Just a little brotherly outing. IMO

Klaas ... has it been determined that Lorenzo was the owner/driver of the van?

The accident happened in front of the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort which is right near the Bird Sanctuary:

IIRC ... this van or one with painted with similar designs has been previously posted.

I don't think there are two Lorenzo Van Rijns in Aruba.  I think everybody from Aruba that has posted here
knew or knew of Lorenzo.  Only Tito got him confused with Guido Wever.  Somebody would have said....
Which Lorenzo Van Rijn do you mean? IMO

Klaas can probably do a better one, but just for the heck of it!

I think those two look like the same person.

Photo of Lorenzo's van as posted by Peeps from the RaceJunkies site back in 2005:

Photos of the VAN that was in the accident on 4/5/2010 in front of the Amsterdam Manor in which Joran is also standing:

IMO it's not only Lorenzo's van it is also Joran

That's a good shot of the license tag.  Does Aruba have anything like an online DMV that we could look up the tag and see if Lorenzo is the current owner?

Since Aruba loves to photograph wrecks, maybe there will be more photos in other newspapers.  It actually looks more like Lorenzo to me than Joran because of no cankles and little lighter hair and more stick out ears.

Thanks Klaas

I agree.  The comparison images that you have posted convinces me the the van belongs to Lorenzo and ... it is Joran who is at the accident scene.

Patriot - forget the legs, even the girl in the photo looks thinner in this shot.  Look the comparison Sleuth posted.

I just had a little bit of trouble getting in, Anna, and have noticed that pages load slowly at certain times.  I believe it could be due to traffic but that is just a guess.

Yes, I was having problems a bit ago myself.  May have rebooted and that's why it's better.

Klaas, it's just my opinion on what I see... I think I'm entitled to one...

A lot of people can look alike from behind... Until we see another angle I thinks it's unfair to say it's most likely him...

The Van yes.. Joran not so sure...

Patriot - absolutely, it's fine with me if you don't think that's Joran.  We do know Joran is currently in Aruba though so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Here is one of the recent photos of Joran at Moomba's.

I still think it looks like Joran

I don't think Joran has thick ankles.

Magnolia, I don't think Joran has thick ankles either, but he does have a thick head imo.   Monkey Devil!

FWIW - it appears Lorenzo's van was not at fault in this accident, looks like it was the fault of the black pickup truck.

I still believe it's Joran shown and would like to know what he was doing with Lorenzo

I would also like to know what possesses Anita to post all over and make comments on others facebook pages when she SHOULD be a grieving wife.

Aruba
Mother Holloway security initiative launched
April 7, 2010, 13:44 (GMT -04:00)

ORANGE CITY - Beth Holloway (48), mother of missing teen Natalee in 2004, is accompanied by a security company in Manhattan, an initiative for parents of children who are traveling abroad. Report at least the American media.

The initiative is called Mayday 360 parents and promises to intervene immediately to problems abroad. In "extreme cases" will Mayday 360 former officers with specialist knowledge deployment. These agents have knowledge of the local language, laws and practices and may be particularly quickly and help mediate in 'red tape'. The company is a collaboration of Investigative Management Group (IMG) and Holloway.

Rapid response is one of the main lessons learned after Holloway's 'terrible ordeal' in Aruba in the disappearance of her daughter. "It is essential that the administration quick to act if the situation requires. Mayday 360 will be able to make that happen, "said Holloway. "In our case it took five days for the U.S. consulate responded." Parents have, according to Holloway, an urgent and rapid response.

They will act as a partner and director of the company. Here, she will be relying on the knowledge they have gained by giving lectures throughout the country, in the wake of the disappearance of her daughter.
