I'm creating a separate forum area for this case right under where Amber's thread/forum is.  I have some related threads pertaining to this case I want to add.

is this thread still open then?

Thank you Klaas.  It makes things much easier going back and forth between the two cases.  I hardly felt a thing when you brought us on over.

Effort Begins To Rename Park After Chelsea King

POSTED: 4:51 pm PST March 5, 2010
UPDATED: 4:52 pm PST March 5, 2010

SAN DIEGO -- Backers of a name change of the park where Chelsea King began her fateful run are gathering support for the idea Friday.

The 17-year-old Poway High School senior and cross-country runner disappeared after she parked her BMW at Rancho Bernardo Community Park last Thursday and ran off along the trails near Lake Hodges, sparking a massive search that ended five days later.

A body believed to be that of the teen was found in a shallow grave near the water's edge.

not sure if this was mentioned before but I agree with JVM on a point that she made the other night on her show...why wasn't there a poster up saying that other girls had been attacked in this area?

there would be a warning if there was a dip in the sidewalk or other matters, so why not on such an important matter of girls being attacked there?

In the news report showing JAG's arraignment, I looked for signs of scratch marks on his face and arms, and did not see any.

They are doing a search at Kit Carson Park for Amber. Some children found a bag of hair a while back and told their parents and not much was thought of it until after Chelsea went missing and found dead. They located the bag and it did not have an evidentary value. They are continuing to look in the park.

A neighbor who lived across from JAG when he was a teenager said he was a really nice boy and she never had a problem with him. That can be said about a lot of people. There was a guy in my hometown who was a "nice guy"...until he blew off his parents head with a shotgun.

Hi Shell, I looked too and wasn't surprised not to see any...he is huge and Chelsea was tiny..it would be difficult for him to render her helpless immediately IMO.

thanks for the update on the search in Kit Carson Park.

So I just had a thought.... I know a little of people post comments on news stories that attack the family or provide information that is untrue to mislead the search effort. But if the comment about someone seeing a guy matching JAG while hiking on Mount Woodson is true.... I was thinking.... this is VERY close to Kit Carson park where the children saw the bag of hair. Is there anyway that JAG knew he was going to be caught and wanted to go to the place Amber might be to make an attempt to collect an evidence or hide anything before so he would not be connect to both crimes. Maybe he even went to visit that site... I wonder if they ever followed through a checked out Mt. Woodson.

That is really disturbing, now you have to wonder about the mailman, I have to say I never have in the past. Sometimes we have a woman and then sometimes the usual guy driving around in the mail truck.

Me neither.....thankfully I do KNOW our postman.....living in a small town does have it's advantages

I have been thinking and wanting to DO SOMETHING. I put out SO information at our local parks and at the State Park....yesterday I took my dog for a walk at the state park with a friend (and pepper spray and a personal alarm)... have to admit this is the first time I have been apprehensive about walking the trails. And I am no ta young girl.....I am an old woman. Anyway, the bulletin board where  pit the info on the local SO's had 2 small BLUE ribbons ......I honestly believe those were for Chelsea. So here in rural MO, Chelsea is remembered.

I just emailed the White House and put the link to this story and said CHELSEA DID NOT HAVE TO DIE....I don't know if it will get anyone's attention...but perhaps if a LOT of people did the same thing.....and stated CHELSEA DID NOT HAVE TO DIE, it might get someone's attention.  So anyone interested, here's the address

http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact

when you send the email you will get a thank you page....perhaps it's a start....if we can get hundreds and thousands of people to email someone in Washington might take notice. m I am posting this info on my facebook and encouraging my friends to email and post the information on their facebook.....

http://www.whitehouse.gov/thank-you

I think it will get a lot of people's attention once they see your headline, especially since our former president's daughter has the same name.   I expect the Secret Service at your house any time now.
