It is interesting he was in the SED program at school yet was mainstreamed. normally these kids are kept in a contained classroom - which means they do not go to lunch, class, recess or bathroom with the other kids. SED is a program for kids that are VERY disturbed. The classrooms often have a "quite room" which is basically a cell where they lock the kids when they get out of hand. Almost none of them are mainstreamed and most are not even allowed to participate in extracurriculars. It is a very extreme measure to be classified as SED. It requires a diagnosis from a medical doctor and most of the time a psychiatrist. These kids often do not graduate and are often institutionalized later in life - either in a psychiatric institution or a jail.

I sure hope the police are in the process of retrieving the gold Pontiac from the junkyard and processing it for evidence, there may be a goldmine of evidence in that car.

After listening to the relative from the link to the radio show, one thing that really jumped out for me.  FBI told this relative some info that he cannot talk about, but it was eluded to that there was evidence linking Gardner to Amber's disappearance. When asked if the relative thought that Gardner abducted Amber, the relative hesitated, and then said, "I want to say I hope not, but...   I'm really wondering if perhaps LE has found some clothes, or some belongings that belonged to Amber.

I believe the educational laws changed in the late 1990's on how to educate children with emotional disabilities and what therapies work and not work. The "calm room" was not available in all schools at the time he was in school. He began school in 1984 or 1985 and went until 1996 0r 97? A fraction of what is available now was available then.

Things I gleaned from the radio interview:

-Mom was in denial (I can understand - I have two boys. You never want to believe your offspring could be capable of evil).

-FBI revealed to this relative some info that he cannot state - but it was eluded to that there was evidence linking JAG to Amber's disappearance. When asked if the relative thought that JAG abducted Amber - the man hesitated, said, "I want to say I hope not, but..." I am only saying IMO that is what he eluded to.

-JAG had lost employment last few months, and had plenty of free time on his hands. When he first got out of jail, he got construction work - plenty of it - but the economy forced cessation of jobs, and gradually there was little/few jobs.

-JAG was despondent about losing employment.-The last time this relative spoke with JAG was Feb 17, and at that time they argued, and he had to call the sheriff due to JAG's threatening behavior.

JAG moved out of grandma's house Feb 20. The relative did not say exactly why he was kicked out - only that, "We knew he was not supposed to live there." and that he had to leave. That is what according to relative, the argument was about.

IMO this was a man filled with anger coupled with issues dealing with women, add to that loss of employment, need for control (over young petite girls). A powder keg waiting for a light (seeing a girl he can overpower) to explode and exact his revenge to all who he considers wronged him.
IMO there are others. I am going to do some research.

If you add the property information from today with what Klaas found yesterday on Catherine J Osborn Gardner Poppe, we know in 1993 she showed up on the house title in Running Springs with husband Daniel.  She sold her part of the house to Daniel in 1998.  She shows up on a deed in San Diego County on 3/18/1998 as Catherine Poppe.

SAN DIEGO -- Escondido police are searching Kit Carson park after a phone call described a find by two boys less than 10 miles from where high school student Amber Dubois disappeared in 2009.

The boys discovered a bag of hair in the park in May of 2009. The boys told their parents what they saw but the parents didn't think anything of it until the recent Chelsea King investigation.

Escondido police received the call yesterday and told 10News that they plan to conduct a search throughout the day.   

Amber Dubois disappeared less than 10 miles away from the park on Feb. 13, 2009, on her way to Escondido High School.
