Baby, Toddler Found Bound And Gagged; Father Arrested
The father of a baby and a toddler found bound and gagged on a bedroom floor is being investigated for attempted murder and torture.
February 27, 2010
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (February 27, 2010)--A baby and a toddler were found bound and gagged on a bedroom floor in Southern California, and their father is being investigated for attempted murder and torture in the case, authorities said.

Riverside County, Calif. Sheriff's Sgt. Steve Brown said deputies responded to a home in the Indian Hills area Friday on a report of a family disturbance.

They found the two girls, ages 1 1/2 and 18 weeks, who had visible injuries on their faces and heads.

Their father, Jeremiah Scott, 23, fled before deputies arrived but was later found in the neighborhood and arrested.

Brown said the babies' injuries did not appear to be life threatening and they were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Scott is held in lieu of $1 million bond.

Man Suspected of Torturing Two Infant Children
February 28, 2010
A Riverside County man is behind bars suspected of torturing his two infant children and then then leaving them bound and gagged inside their home.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call and found a one year old and an 18 week old tied up in the bedroom, with injuries to their face and head.

Their father is 23 year old Jeremiah Scott. He now faces charges of attempted murder, torture and injury to a child.

He's being held on one million dollars bail. Both baby girls are expected to recover. There's no motive at this time.

Mother of girls in torture case arrested, charged
May 21, 2010

RIVERSIDE - The mother of two young girls found beaten, bound and gagged on a bedroom floor in February was arrested this week and charged with two felony counts of child abuse, according to court records.

Erica Monique Henry, 24, was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center on May 18. She was released May 20 on bail and is due in Riverside County Superior Court for arraignment June 17.

On Feb. 26, Miah Scott, then 18 months old, and Jasmine Scott, then 4 months old, were discovered by their grandparents on the bedroom floor of the home in the Indian Hills neighborhood of Jurupa where Henry and the girls' father, Jeremiah Eugene Scott, lived with his mother and stepfather.

Investigators said both girls were tied up and showed signs of having been beaten. Jasmine had a sock stuffed in her mouth.

Jeremiah Scott, 23, is charged with two counts each of torture, child abuse and corporal punishment of a child in connection with the Feb. 26 incident.

He also is charged with cultivation of marijuana.

He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

His next court date is May 25.

It is unclear if Henry was charged in connection with the February incident.

Philip Greenberg, the deputy district attorney assigned to the Scott case, has said that a forensic pediatrician at Loma Linda University Medical Center who examined Miah and Jasmine documented fresh and older injuries on both girls, including bruises that may be the result of being hit with a belt.

Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigators have said that Henry had her parental rights taken away in a case involving another child named Diamond.

Jeremiah Scott remains in custody at Robert Presley Detention Center. Bail has been set at $1 million.

Dear God!
..I can not imagine how they even breathed while they were gagged and  with the younger one having a sock in her mouth??? at 4 months old???
It gets worse and worse it seems.  What in the world is happening to people to make them so cruel to children? these people should never ever see these children again!
