I have 2 brothers & a sister and being oldest I was first to drive.  Dad taught me how to change a flat & little tricks to get the Rambler classic to start...the baloney skins I had on that vehicle were laughed at by a few mechanics when I asked them to fix 'em.   Anyway, years later, I had a flat on a highway, in the rain...girlfriend was with me.  Cop stopped while I jacked it up and got the little bicycle wheel spare out....we told him I'd lost the hub cap....he said he'd look for it.  My girlfriend was shocked that I knew what to do, let alone find the jack, etc.   She was also po'd the cop didn't help us.  I'm laughing at the memory.....DH was not happy the wheel cover was gone....but we got home on the spare.  Love my Dad for helping me be self reliant.

You go robots!

Robots, you're killing me.  Laughing The best humor is always when you can relate to it, and I can!

From somebody without a chemistry background, a question? If chocolate and possible cleaning solvent ingredient were found in the car, and if Nat was the source, through vomit, of those elements in Deepak's car, wouldn't elements of the vomit also be there?

I'm not trying to make a point, it's an honest question that I don't have a predisposed answer to.

I am female and the youngest of eight.  We all had cars.  Had to change oil, flat tires and put on my own snow tires.  My son does fine.  My daughter, who has a cell phone (to call any male in her life to help), was a lot more work.....get out the book in the glove box...watch us place the jack....keep WD40 handy....LOTS of work.  She has a job traveling now and can find the manual but has enough money and the phone to call for help. Boy, your saga brings back memories.  All I can say is, if you succeed on getting him going.....things will go a bit smoother if you mention to loosen the lug nuts BEFORE jacking up the car.  Once they figure how to get it up and then have to be told to get it back down or the tire only spins, they will call anyone....for a ride...

Good morning friends.... Very Happy

We could not drive Dad's car until we could change a tire...right in front of his house with him standing there giving us "pointers"....in the end, I also was thankful....used those pointers a couple of times.

robots - your son and my son must be reading the same son manual this week, in fact I've had that fish discussion with both kids this week and if you find some magical fix to make them 'get it', then please let me know for I'm one tired mom  Laughing  GOOD LUCK WITH IT, i'm cheering you on !!

Hi to Jacq and peaches good to see you posting, I hope you both are doing well.

Gosh, just reading back this morning I am struck with how much I miss Blah and Hammer and other posters who have left the lively due to the argumentative nature that now exists on this lively. Why don't we all reaffirm with Klaas and Red what their mission for the lively and this forum is, perhaps that's what needs to happen. This is the house they and Tom and Mrs all built, remember?

I will pray that we all take a step back and think about that....... have a good day everyone !

CBB-

It's a valid question and it's unfortunate that science isn't exact enough to afford us that answer with 99% validity for we can't know what Nat may have ingested on that day or that night, or even the day prior which could have remained in her digestive system as well. But I agree with you that the vomit should have been present but then we're arguing a point that a corrupt ALE covered up, so IMO we're not likely to discover the true answer, if ever?

I think that that is what is being questioned.  Were some of the chemicals found actually "vomit" contents??

IIRC , When testing for unknown substances, you are really testing for the presence of certain chemicals (not really for products, like chocolate).  So if something tests high in "phenols" or whatever chemical is in chocolate, one might conclude that chocolate was there.  I think what SunFreak was saying, is that in the making of GHB (not the ingestion or digestion of the drug), a chemical reaction is formed.  The cleaning fluid type chemicals are FOREVER changed and do not seperate back out to test as the original chemicals (IIRC that is the difference between a solution and a true chemical reaction). I guess the question would be, what does GHB chemically test as once it is made.  I don't think there would be enough of the actual chemical (since only a small amount is added to a drink), to actually isolate it in a lab.
This must be as clear as mud...

cbb- I am not good at chemistry - but I am sure there would be other elements there.  Even DNA if it was vomit.

Robots - I think you are doing the right thing.... let 'm learn!  I had to change a tire in my new rabbit fur coat when I was 18 - gosh I was mad, but I did it anyhow - And glad I did (It gave me confidence)

Your stomach fluid is a complex mixture of many chemicals,CBB.Yes there would vomit in the car. That russian drink has caused many a woman to puke her guts out.It really scares me even more that the buffons would attempt to make ghb. While we are the subject, don't forget how much money funnels through posner,in the internet gaming in the US.Is internet porn exspensive,as well as additive? It is obvious that the clowns were heavily into the porn,as well as rape.I think it was gvc who had an eyedropper of chemicals.Dave in his book saw and heard alot about the bartenders at cnc's and there little eyedroppers. The question I have is how long do these chemicals keep a person out of it? CAT
