Suspect in disappearence of Natalee Holloway accused of murder in Peru


LIMA (BNO NEWS) — A Dutch man who is the prime suspect in the disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway, Joran van der Sloot, has been accused of murdering a young woman in Peru.

Police said Van der Sloot, 22, is the main suspect in the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez, whose body was found in the Miraflores District of Lima in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

According to that article, ALE is saying that Joran was arrested in Peru and taken to Chile and will be taken to Argentina from there?

Thanks Klaas, Anna, and any others for the latest reports.  I'm really not shocked, we all knew it was just a matter of time.

Unless I missed it somewhere, none of the Aruba papers even acknowledged the five year anniversary of Natalee's disappearance...not even Diario. 

I'm sure they didn't want to remind or upset any tourists there for all the activities going on...Soul Beach...International Film Festival...etc.  And you know how they hate being put in the spotlight over Natalee's case..

Well wonder if Richard Gere will want Anita picking him up from the airport now.   

My sincere sympathy goes out to the family of the victim in Peru. 

No sympathy for Aruba at all...I hope every network in the world picks up on the latest about their golden "boy"...and crucifies them over and over and over again for not doing the right thing in Natalee's case.  They had it coming!

I think only the OM in Aruba is saying Joran was arrested.  Other sites think he sneaked over the border to Chili and then to Argentina.  I guess he is trying to slither home to Aruba where he got away with murder before.

However, if Interpol is on the case, he might as well give up as they will get him no matter where he goes.  Thanks to his big mouth, he will be recognized wherever he goes and ratted out.
