I took a break from the Casey-Casey-Casey anthology and gave these a quick glance.  Cecelia Benhaida (River Cruz/Krystal Holloway's sister,) was incarcerated at the same time as Casey and helped pass notes between Robyn and Casey.  What?  Did we know this?  This never stops surprising me.

How often did Casey Anthony discuss her daughter Caylee in jail letters released this afternoon? Stations had different takes on that question.

“The one thing that really jumped out at us among the first letters that we read of Casey’s is how much she does actually talk about her daughter, Caylee,” WESH-Channel 2’s Bob Kealing  reported on the 4 p.m. news.

Later, Kealing reported that Anthony confided there was no Zenaida Gonzalez, the nanny who supposedly took care of Caylee. And Anthony wrote that she used chloroform to help Caylee sleep when the toddler had trouble nodding off, WESH reported.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter.

WFTV-Channel 9 opened its 5 p.m. news with the headlines: “No ‘Zanny the Nanny’!” and “Used chloroform on Caylee”!

WFTV’s Kathi Belich said the letters could damage Anthony’s defense. “She tells so many different stories about what happened to Caylee, talks about chloroform and also says her alleged babysitter Zenaida had nothing to do with Caylee’s murder,” Belich said. “All in all, she communicated less about Caylee and much more about her plans for her new life once she gets out of jail.”

Belich said Anthony “rambles” and “contradicts her from sentence to sentence.” To one inmate, Anthony told three versions of what happened to Caylee, Belich noted.

Kealing highlighted these passages:

***”I’ve had to forgive what happened to my Caylee, but I’m still angry,” Anthony writes.
***”I was a great mom,” she wrote.

***”I loved my daughter with everything I have,” she wrote.

*** In one of the stranger passages, she talks about wanting to adopt a child from Ireland.

***Casey used the nickname “Cays” for her daughter and said talks to the child  through the day.

Anthony accused her father and brother of sexually abusing her. “But were they just dreams?” Kealing asked. “Both George and Lee Anthony have denied ever sexually assaulting Casey.”

WFTV highlighted that Casey said her mother, Cindy, called her a whore and accused her of lying.

Also this afternoon, Central Florida News highlighted Anthony’s allegations against her brother. “Casey Anthony says she was abused by her brother since she was a young child,” Jacqueline Fell reported. “She alleges that her brother started to do to this to her just before she turned 12 years old.”

In another passage, she said thinks her father sexually abused her when she was younger. 

But given that Anthony has frequently failed to tell the truth, can her comments in these letters be taken seriously?

Anthony wrote the letters to a fellow inmate at the Orange County Jail.

Other documents released today provided insight into Krystal Holloway — who’s also known as River Cruz. Holloway said she befriended George Anthony and spent hours with her, but the relationship never turned sexual, WFTV’s Jeff Deal reported. Holloway says that George confided that Caylee’s death was an accident that snowballed out of control.

“But George never told her what the accident was,” Deal said. “He even relayed a story where he yelled at Casey, saying, ‘I know you killed her. What did you do with her?’ Then he choked Casey and Cindy had to pull him off.”

A security guard at Holloway’s gated community supported her story that George regularly visited, Deal added
WFTV also reported that prosecutors have requested a transcript from a hearing last year. At the hearing, defense attorney Todd Macaluso said there was substantial evidence that Caylee’s body was dumped in the woods after the young mother was jailed and “that proves her innocence.” Macaluso is no longer with the defense team.

I highly recommend reading the sheriff's reports...all kinds of good stuff in there. Pg 10 (of the first one, I think) tells about River being in jail with Casey and passing notes...and then there's the interviews of the verbal convos between Casey and her note-mate. I'd rather read the investigation than Crzy's ramblings (but I know after tomorrow I probably will!) More

I am extremely grateful to Mike & Michelle for taking your case.  Gabe speaks nothing but the truth.  He's my adopted brother.  Mike & Michelle wrote a couple appeals in my case that were nothing short of phenomenal.  I put all of my faith and trust in their abilities and I know they will pull a great victory for you

There has been nothing to appeal as the case has not started as far as I know.  I also find it interesting that Mike , Michelle and Gabe are helping her pen pal.  Are they from Bobo's office or Lyon's students?

Casey Letters: Chloroform Used To Put Caylee To Sleep

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Nearly 800 pages of new documents and letters were released Tuesday that Casey Anthony wrote to another jail inmate (read them). Investigators told WFTV they contain damaging evidence against her, but Casey's defense team told WFTV they are not afraid of what's in them.

This is the most revealing look into Casey Anthony's life behind bars that the public has seen since she was first arrested nearly two years ago.

In the letters, Casey told inmate Robyn Adams that Caylee had trouble sleeping and she had to use chloroform to put her to sleep. Also, Casey Anthony implied to Robyn Adams that her mother, Cindy Anthony, brought chloroform home from the clinic where she worked.

All in all, she communicated less about Caylee and much more about her plans for her new life, once she gets out of jail.

Casey Anthony rambles in her letters and contradicts herself from sentence to sentence at times.

She also wrote to inmate Robyn Adams "I know that Caylee's nanny, the real Zenaida, the girl who was my friend for four years I know in my heart that she's not responsible. And I don't blame her for not showing her face."

Casey also said she "was going to take Caylee and move away. Unfortunately, my plans got beyond tangled when Zanny wouldn't tell me where she and Cays were."

Casey claimed in one of her letters that she had given Caylee to the nanny, while she prepared for the two of them to start a new life and wrote "that's why I waited to report her missing. Because she was and wasn't."

However, Casey confided to Adams that there was no “Zenaida.” Adams believes that may have been written in one of the letters she sent to her friend, Tracey Nealley. Although Casey Anthony and Robyn Adams agreed to flush the letters after reading them, Adams kept them and mailed them to Tracey Nealley.

Casey also accused her brother Lee Anthony of sexually abusing her for three years starting when she was 12 years old. She wrote to Adams that he stopped after she threatened to kill him if he came back into her room. Casey also claimed that she was molested by George when she was younger, but did not elaborate further. She says her mother accused her of lying and called her a whore.

In an interview with Orange County detective Yuri Melich, an inmate named Maya Derkovic, who was in prison at the same time as Casey Anthony, told him the two established a friendship and repeatedly spoke through the ventilation system. During the conversations, Derkovic asked Casey about the circumstances of Caylee’s disappearance. Derkovic said Casey told her three different versions of what happened to Caylee.

The first version, detective Melich states, was the same one Casey told him. The second version was that the babysitter was asked to come to Casey’s house to watch Caylee while Casey went out. When Casey returned, both the babysitter and Caylee were gone. Another version was about the same, except when Casey returned to the empty home she found a note claiming Caylee had been abducted.

Derkovic told Melich during the interview that, when Casey would return to her cell from visits with her family, she would make derogatory remarks about her mother Cindy.

“Her parents would come and that’s when she would make comments about her mom. And I asked her, ’Well how was your visit and how did it go?’ And she’ll make comments like, ’Well it’s alright; at least the b**** knows how I feel now,'" Derkovic told Melich. “She’ll talk about, well, how her mom never really cared about her that much. All she cared about was Caylee and she knows what it fells like to miss somebody and to feel pain and stuff like that.”

Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, told WFTV Casey's team is not concerned about the content of the letters and not releasing them would have been worse, because that would have left questions about their content.

“If you look at them within the context, they're of a person locked up 23 hours a day,” attorney Jose Baez said after a hearing in the case Monday, before the letters had been released.

Casey has been in the Orange County jail since July 2008. She's in protective custody and is not supposed to have direct communication with other inmates. A guard, Silvia Hernandez, is now on paid leave from the Orange County jail in connection with the exchange of letters.
