Just quickly read over the defense Motion to Preclude....blah blah blah

Basically, they are stating that the prosecution purposely sought the DP because they knew it would financially break the defense.   Seriously?   The defense & Casey Anthony sought means (media) to fund her defense to the tune of nearly $300,000 even prior to her indictment.  The defense team was jetting back and forth to NY for media interviews, but boo hoo there is 'no mo money.'   If they mismanaged funds that were meant for her defense, they are being disingenuous in blaming the State for their lack of budgetary skills.    Casey Anthony is no different than any other murder defendant, in that she was offered the opportunity upon her arrest to request a public defender & claim indigency.  In fact, there is a document from when she was initially arrested in July where she did claim she was indigent until Bozo swooped in like a vulture.   She was indicted  3 months later for felony murder plus other charges, the defense did not seek to have her deemed indigent then nor after the State sought the DP approx 16 months ago as a result of what was discovered 12/11/08.  What would be their argument when it is pointed out to them that other murder one defendants who have no means to pay for an attorney much less a team still face the DP, if that criteria is met & the State seeks it?  Overall, there are more defendants that cannot afford their own attorney, experts, etc. than there are ones that can easily.

Additionally, they are yet again requesting to show their cards "in camera" instead of thru discovery or in open court.  Point blank, if the defense had exculpatory evidence worth any weight they would not have any problem whatsoever displaying same, if not shouting it from the CBS or NBC rooftop.   It shouldnt be amazing at all that the very attorneys defending this girl would have the attitude of such self-entitlement.   It also has to be comical at this point that this defense team holds the State to the fire & yet they have yet all they are doing is playing games, filing ridiculous and/or flawed motions to delay & going on TV attempting to manipulate the potential jury pool with a bunch of bunk and bull.

One more thing, this motion is only signed by Lyons out of the three listed  & it is NOT dated.

Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Belvin Perry said he’s seen cases where “outrageous and false” allegations have been made against a judge just to get the judge recused. Judges have little recourse beyond filing a Bar grievance, which, he said, can be a frustrating process.

I heard that Dave is now back tracking on the phone call- says it was not the Judge that called him, but someone who knows the Judge called and wished him well.
Which is it- does anyone know? I can't stand to listen to those kind of blog talk shows..

I'm pretty sure Marinade Dave passed away a little while ago. He had cancer, which is why he was in the hospital.  Unfortunately he didn't make it. I remember reading it on his blog and a few other places.  I agree with most everything people are saying, but I have a hard time talking about somebody deceased who is unable to defend themselves.   Somebody else took over his blog for him to keep it going, so maybe we should talk about that person instead  IMO

Ok, I'm obviously reading out of order to catch up.   I seriously didn't know this to be fact at first.  However, the idea he was a cop for 25 yrs prior, gives me a better feeling, as BB12 stated.  I hope he finally knocks Baez down a few notches, if he even stays on the case, including allowing all these bogus motions. Then Mason, just made a blatant fool of himself. This whole thing is a joke and Slore is loving every minute of it.  Wonder how SHE feels about being betrayed by a "BFF", she's probably found another already, idiot!  What upsets me  more, is this case could push  out further, but knowing Slore is behind bars is some comfort.  I, as everybody else, just wants justice for Caylee asap!  I'm dying to know how the Ants are taking her allegations.  I'm sure they have SOME excuse for MOTY!  I mean Baez said the letters were of somebody sitting around with 23 hrs a day with nothing to do... gag me!

Well, if in fact he is & while I think he's an a$$hat there is absolutely no justification for anyone to be so extremist to make death threats against anyone.  Ignore his little blog, call him a name but good grief whoever goes to that extent needs to get a grip to say the least...geez.

Okay............no one else seems to think this but I am highly aggravated that a nobody (and not even that good of one) blogger took down a judge with a spotless record for all his years of service. There was NO REASON for this dork to put out there that he had even talked to the judge.

There are many of us who "know" things which we never put out for others. There are a lot of things in this case which have not been revealed by persons who have inside information in one form or another.  This person to stroke his own ego put that out there with no regard for the consequences. It was like his ego thew a rock into a pond which will not quit rippling. What a shame and shame on him.

Sure, he most likely got a lot of people to read his blog, but he undermined (IMO) the whole legal system by blabbing about things which should have been kept private and nothing to do with the case at all except to stroke his ego. He will never be considered a serious journalist because he is not capable of keeping his ego out of his writing.

I guess I was typing as you were posting this..............now that is STUPID for someone to be so inflamed they threaten anyone. I wonder if it is true though because the defense seems to be so desperate they will put anything out there to get sympathy for their client.
