Im finally getting to this now...Im only five minutes in but already it seems she is saying things she otherwise would not know unless it came from Casey's mouth.   I have to read about her case more, I know Im looking at a convicted killer but she doesnt have the same evil in her eye or sociopath tendencies that with Casey, Scott Peterson, many others it was readily seen pretty quickly.   I didnt read the article  so I could watch the video but again five minutes in this is what I sensed so far & then went to the article to see if it referenced her case to then see this:  Derkovic turned herself in and got 30 years instead of the death penalty for murdering another teenager four years ago. Derkovic and others at the jail thought she would have the best chance of convincing Casey to come clean.

Im gonna watch the entire thing before I comment further but she seems credible thus far...Ill be back in bit later.

I seriously should walk away from all this. This makes me so ill, Haleigh's case I could just scream, and John Garners confesses to Chelsea and Amber's death. Way to much too process right now. 

My husband and I went to our local Mex Rest.....I was filing him in on the day......it always helps to talk to him, but today he suggested we both have a margarita!

It certainly is.............I am almost finished.....and I find myself liking this young lady...what a shame the road she took to get to this place....but it seems she has taken another turn........this time a road with lots of light.

Maya is very believable......not at all what I expected.
Maya's reason why Casey would be looked down on by other female inmates if she goes to prison, was very interesting.
Of course nobody likes a baby/child killer, but Maya said many of the woman in prison have been beaten, sexually abused, tortured, AS children themselves and can relate to Caylee as the victim.

ORLANDO -- News 13 has learned Casey Anthony's defense team wants Judge Stan Strickland to remove himself from the case.

The motion said Strickland had an inappropriate conversation with a man who blogs about the case.

Hi Sunny and all--Yes, Marinade Dave is another one of THOSE PEOPLE who imagine themselves to be a part of this case and brag and try to impress with their vast knowlege. He seems to become quite emotional about it.  I admit I was a bit taken aback when Judge Strickland said "Ms. Anthony and the truth are strangers," or perhaps it was vice versa. But there was no jury there to hear it and overall I believe the judge has been fair in his rulings and allowed Baez et al to ramble on and uh and eh and urr to their heart's content.  If the defense looked bad, it wasn't the judge's fault.  They did it all by themselves.

I don't quite see that the judge, by calling Marinade Dave up to chat, was trying to ingratiate himself with the media which seems to be what the motion to recuse implies.  I wouldn't consider Marinade Dave to be the "Media." If that were what the judge was trying to do I think he would have chosen bigger fish to do it with, not an insignificant internet blogger.

But it is Baez' duty to represent his client to the best of his ability and IMO he hasn't done that too well so far.  (But on the other hand, it might have been the best of his ability.) This is just another stab at it.  Mr. Mason's idea I would think.

But however this turns out, the world goes on, our lives go on, and we are not part of the case, no matter how much some people wish to be.

When she speaks of being in PC/psy ops, mental evaluation, it also could be that Casey was being watched as a suicide risk not necessarily that she was "nuts."   One of the main reasons she is in PC is its a high profile case that she is accused of killing her own babygirl, yes Maya is correct why even inmates with heinous records would have a problem with her.

Maya has made peace with herself and acknowledges she was wrong.I respect that.

BB, I understand EXACTLY what you are saying....and we are in the SAME PLACE

....I just hope this is not another set back.  I really hope Strickland doesn't recuse himself.......for the sake of the case.

Me too....I just finished part 2......deep inside her, even at her worst, was a decent person....she turned herself in....and I had to laugh when she said she had to convince the detectives she was telling the truth by confessing to her crime.  KUDOS to Kathi B!!!!

Just got home a little while ago and saw the latest about the motion to replace Strickland. I think that if they replace him with , another Judge, he may not be as kind and as fair as Stickland has been.  I think he's been more than fair to the defense...so if he's replaced, let's hope she gets a hag of a judge!   

I was annoyed when I caught part of the noon news about Mason complaining about the state money. He was saying something to the effect of "how much money has the state spent on prosecuting Ms Anthony?  and blah blah blah... that the defense should not have to disclose how much $$ they are using of state money.  Helllloooooooooooooooo Mr Mason, it's STATE money and we should know where it's going. Also State paid lawyers don't make as much as those expensive lawyers she has.

I find I really like her too---I so hope she gets a good education while incarcerated.  This has been quite touching.

Trimm thanks for the link to Maya's interview.

At first I was skeptical, but watching her eyes looking directly at KB and listening to  her voice, she was not lying.

I am sorry she killed that girl, and pray for Maya and her victim. I couldn't hear at first when she told KB when they came to the US, and I am still not quite sure if she is Croatian, Bosnian, Albanian, etc. She made mistakes in her life and is now trying to turn them around. I am very glad I took the time to watch.

I found that an interesting point--had never thought of that.
