Clint talking about Shawn now.  Saying that Devlin was so much bigger than Shawn, and used a weapon on him.  Threatened him.  He says Shawn was in self preservation mode.

All of idiots who question why a child does not take action under such conditions~ Think about this: Do y'all really believe that a child wants to stay with someone who sodomizes, beats, threatens and terrorizes them?

Why didn't the cops notice Shawn Hornbeck when they spoke with Shawn 10 months after he disappeared?  

Clint is saying they were 100 miles from Shawn's home.  A couple street cops probably wouldn't have picked him out.  Clint doesn't fault the cops for not recognizing him.  Clint wonders why the neighbors who mentioned to Shawn he looked like the Shawn Hornbeck kid didn't call authorities?

wow, I didn't even hear about neighbors until just now...this poor boy..he had to feel totally helpless!

What kind of a person is Michael Devlin?

Clint - It's as if Devlin is building a "feel sorry for me" defense.

If he's guilty of sexual assault of Shawn - we are dealing with a preferencial pedophile.  He prefers boys around 11yrs old.  We may find out that Shawn was getting too old.  So Devlin needed to get another boy.

This guy didn't just start at 37yrs old sexually abusing boys.  The FBI is going back 20yrs looking for missing children in that area.

REALLY agree about what he said about just because you were molested, doesn't mean you become a molester, it IS a choice!! Just had this conversation w/ some friends last weekend.

Per Clint - if your child is missing this is what you do:

Search your entire house and yard.  Immediately call the police.  Take recent photos of your child, maybe with your cell phone.  You want to be able to provide a current photo of your child.

you know what really shocked me recently...we had a controversy w/ a priest in our parish, and then this case and Kirkwood is 10 minutes from me. When we parents started talking, my girlfriend and I were shocked that so many parents had NEVER had a conversation with their kids about what to do if they were approached by a stranger. Not only had they not speken to them, but they were adament about NOT talking to them about it because they felt they wanted to keep their children "innocent". I was just so surprised.
