Bringing this over from another site & I don't have a link: (Please provide a link when bringing things from other places.)

04/29/2010 Motion
to Seal Jail Visiting Log Records

Has anyone seen this or know why it was filed?

(Good evening Monkeys!    )

hi cece.............thanks

so they want the visitation logs sealed..ummmmmmmmmmmmm interesting.WHY?

so who is going to be visiting that they do not want made public?

the A's?......naw
another attorney?..naw
so who.............perhaps a psychiatrist, or a psychologist?  The mitigation specialist has spent a whole lot of time with KC.....but the only psych evaluations that I am aware of are through the court/jail.............so are they changing their DUHfence from the nanny did it to KC did it but she was nuts

Seriously, I think they are going to claim it was an accident and KC was so afraid of her parents (mitigating circumstances) that everything she did can be explained by her fear which stems from..........abuse, mental and sexual...........

Good Evening Monkeys ...almost feels like tomorrow will be the first day of school..
Court tomorrow  sorry my post became huge.
After reading JWG on Hinky Meter this morning. http://www.thehinkymeter.com/2010/04/29/computer-savvy-casey/
I went back into google and used Caseyomarie " Casey's account name" ...and I came up with a music site. I am sure that this has been found before. http://www.pandora.com/people/caseyomarie -The songs are not listed, however the band names " She chose" and load dates are available. The Dates are quite significant. Trying to figure out what was going on in Princess Pea's Mind on those dates. What they meant to her ?
June 17, 2008 she uploaded band Sevendust -  song " The Past" same song that she played over and over for Tracy LP's associate in the Ant house. Same song that CA and KC fought over of who loves it more.
http://www.pandora.com/stations/21746b55f9d8cca9706ef6ca6f70f3d79d65bae90eaced8a
June 26, 2008 she uploaded band Arctic Monkeys http://www.pandora.com/stations/b8e9020858f116a602ee612471160e28be65aaf34da7c82c
I checked out some of their songs. I personally do not classify their songs as music - Death Metal awful -they have other songs than Death Metal which to me, lyrics are twisted/gross.
September 9, 2008 she uploaded Gavin DeGraw http://www.pandora.com/stations/c5f2c4cdc109771e6e0d12fcb7f191f8c874869f84047ca8
Gavin's song is famous as the starting song theme of One Tree Hill and is main song of One Tree Hill episode aired on 9/9/08. " I don't want to Be" see below
---------------------------------
June 16, 2008 Per Amy H official statement, Casey spent June 16 thru July 4 with Tony Lazzaro. Tony says Casey stayed with him from June 10 until June 16
June 16, 2008 On this date Casey started corresponding frequently with Mark Hawkins

Casey’s ex-boyfriend ( her creating a alibi with an innocent person from her past ?)
Began dating Casey in March or April 2007, and throughout that summer. Said Casey told him she worked at the Sports Authority at the time. Told investigators their relationship was long-distance and did not work out for long. Saw Casey a few times in May and June 2008, and on June 17, she came to his house, driving a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee. Casey told him she was distressed because her parents were getting divorced, and that her father had cheated on her mother. Said Casey talked about her and Caylee getting house. Said he saw a girl who looked like Casey jogging down Chickasaw Trail around 9:30 a.m. July 15, 2008. He texted Casey and asked if she was running down Chickasaw, but she replied, "no," and that was the end of it. Said he got a text message July 16 about Caylee being missing for 32 days.
June 17, 2008 at 3:15pm Casey Anthony wrote on Facebook to Amy: cheer up me lady! i love you and can’t wait to finally get you moved in.

September 9, 2008 - Hostility is brewing at Ant House - Protesters are at house from sun up to sundown. Casey is tucked away watching through the curtains. George allegedly threatens protester - police are called.  http://www.clickorlando.com/news/17426607/detail.html
Same day 9/9/08 woman takes Anthony's Trash bag from yard: http://www.clickorlando.com/news/17429343/detail.html.
9/9/08 - One Tree Hill airs: "One Million Billionth of a Millisecond on a Sunday Morning" - Key song played during episode is Gavin " I don't want to Be"
Quote from episode 9/9/08: James Lucas Scott: And they thought the *last* nanny was crazy.
Imdb One Tree Hill: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1263997/quotes

She certainly was very busy on the dates of June 16,17,18 2008. Which all are tied together with one common theme: " Moving On, and trying to find someone to latch onto to start her new life"  I left out several points of events within the dates. The events I did add were displaying her character - now that we have had a birds eye view from her letters.

Looking at the post of filings for the case - Request for Imposition of the Death Penalty

Written 4/27/10 - by Terry Lenamon * was once Lee Anthony's counsel - CA/GA's at one time, I cant recall.

ABA Will Study Missouri's Death Penalty Process
Posted on April 27, 2010 by Terry Lenamon

The American Bar Association has announced it will be studying how the state of Missouri implements capital punishment - and the study should be pretty thorough.  It's expected that the ABA Committee will delve into DNA evidence issues, indigent defense services, and the like.
The ABA Death Penalty Moratorium Implementation Project
In past years, the ABA has studied how the death penalty is administered in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.   It has done so through its Death Penalty Moratorium Implementation  - Assessment of Capital Jurisdictions Project (read through the Project's FAQs for details).

The ABA is far from neutral in the death penalty controversy.  The American Bar Association is opposed to capital punishment -- and its walked the talk with its Death Penalty Moratorium Implementation Project, "working to obtain a national moratorium on executions."
The ABA's Second Round of State Death Penalty Assessments: Kentucky and Missouri
After completing assessments of the first round of states (listed above), the ABA has determined that its work was so successful, they're gonna go for round two.  Missouri is part of this second round.  So is Kentucky.
To read a summary of their findings in the first round, you can read the ABA Summary online, where it's provided for free in a .pdf format.  Key language from an indigent defense perspective:
    Effective capital case representation requires substantial specialized training and experience in the complex laws and procedures that govern a capital case, as well as full and fair compensation to the lawyers who undertake capital cases and resources for investigators and experts. States must address counsel representation issues in a way that will ensure that all capital defendants receive effective representation at all stages of their cases. After examining eight states, the themes that emerged include:
    • Many states are failing to provide a statewide indigent capital defense system, providing services instead on a county-by-county basis;
         • The judiciary remains primarily responsible for appointing defense counsel;
         • Some states are failing to provide for the appointment of counsel in post-conviction proceedings and all states are failing to provide for the appointment of counsel in clemency proceedings;
         • Capital indigent defense systems, whether statewide or county-by-county, generally are significantly underfunded;
         • Many states are failing to provide for the appointment of two lawyers at all stages of a capital case, nor are they guaranteeing access to investigators and mitigation specialists;
         • Many states are requiring only minimal training and experience for attorneys handling death penalty cases; and

       • The compensation paid to appointed capital defense attorneys is often woefully inadequate, dipping to well under $50 per hour in some cases.

Another post on Terry Lenamon's law site -
http://www.deathpenaltyblog.com/

The sordid saga of Texas trial judge Verna Sue Holland and state prosecutor Thomas S. O'Connell, Jr. carrying on a sexual affair during the capital murder trial of Charles Dean Hood continues, and the latest chapter doesn't tell a happy tale.

Charles Dean Hood's Conviction While the Judge and DA Were Having a Love Affair is a Big Deal. In a somewhat bizarre twist, Charles Dean Hood has had help from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals - the highest criminal court in the State of Texas.  A court where both Verna Sue Holland and the infamous Sharon Keller have both sat as justices (Keller's still there, for now, as Chief Justice; for more on Keller, search for her name here on the blog.  It's quite a story in its own right.)

How did this court help?  Mr. Hood has been granted another sentencing trial - where it is hoped he will escape his current death penalty sentence. However, it is questionable whether or not Mr. Hood will have a trial on guilt or innocence in front of a judge that isn't ... well... "involved" with the prosecutor.

Or if he " Doesn't come through with his laundry list of Promises that he has ~ engraved into Casey's Head as You have no worries" If she would pull that card. That when she was at his office all those hours~ they were playing hide the dead squirrel.
Makes you wonder why all these new filings have been made "just now" before Judge Perry tomorrow.

Can they seal the jail visiting log records under the Sunshine Law?

hi Sassy..just a guess, but I think the Judge can seal things...remember JS sealed the autopsy photos

Generally, no.   The jail records are public, just as the visits and phone calls can be released.   Each inmate & visitors are also given instructions in advance of visits that their calls will be monitored, visits recorded & be logged in when visiting.  The Anthonys lost a battle to have private visits.  Very rarely will a judge seal what is standard procedure for the jail minus pretty much only medical records, attorney/client communications a given.   The defense already took one stab requesting no video  be taken of their visits with their client (gee, I wonder why   ), even expressing concerns about being overheard (no audio) and their motion was denied.    They would have to have a very compelling reason as to why.  IMHO, I dont see that any would be sufficient enough to rule in their favor.   I also do not see any reason why now they need to conceal their attorney/client visits, we already know who is representing her & that they have had a mitigation specialist in to see her.  The only thing I can think of that they now may be wanting to conceal is their own psychiatrists/psychologists, etc. that they may ask to evaluate her but the content of those visits would in fact probably be sealed as medical record unless Casey herself granted permission to her defense team to discuss it.   In my view, its way too late in the game for that happy horsesnit attempt to take place & that should have been done with the ample time she was spending her days at her attorneys office while on bond with the privacy being at their disposal, ridiculous & unseemly as it was.  What are they going to waste the court's time with next, a motion to seal her commissary records including her freaks r us donators?

The autopsy photos being sealed is a totally separate issue.   Those are often sealed especially involving a minor child.   Additionally, if memory serves Conman argued on behalf of the Anthonys that they not be released.

Also, a page or so back it was asked if Judge Strickland would rule on any of the motions that were pending prior to Chief Justice Belvin Perry taking over the case, the answer is no.

As you all can tell, Im experiencing a sleepness night.   I'll be with you all in spirit as you watch the hearing live this morning.   I have to head out in a few hours back to Alabama for my MIL's funeral but hopefully after I settle in back home tomorrow a link to watch the hearing will be already posted.    Be sure to screencap plenty of pictures, a few shocked & angry faces should be of plenty!  I have faith that CHBP is going to set the tone & put the feet to the fire.      Justice for Caylee  an angelic monkey

Deenie, her mindset was already moving on, I agree.   The evil narcissistic sociopath that she is exhibited many signs that she thought she was free but at the same time she left way too many traces of what she did...she doesnt know this but she's her own worse nightmare.  PS, I'm carrying on with the song you left me & its helping me get thru a very difficult time, thank you.

One little thing I saw in your analytical post (which I enjoyed), the Sawgrass reference that is dated June 17th, that had to be July 17th.

Konnichiwa to all from Japan....I am visiting my daughter and new grandbaby. For those reasons I had not been online at all in the last week and was totally shocked from all that has happened involving this case.  All the "stupid" and frustration we have had to endure ,I hope is about to change, with a new judge. Finally, maybe, all participents will behave in court.  I will be watching, from the other side of the world, literally.

 Casey Faces New Judge Today
Friday, April 30, 2010 5:09:01 AM
Reported by Stephanie Coueignoux

ORLANDO -- Casey Anthony's defense team is preparing to go before a new judge for the first time Friday.

Some criminal defense experts said this could make it more difficult for Anthony’s defense team because Chief Judge Belvin Perry is known for being a no-nonsense guy.

Friday's scheduling hearing is a merely a formality, but more importantly, this will be Perry's first opportunity to set the tone for the rest of the case.

"Judge Perry expects you to get to the point and he values his time and he takes it personally when you waste his time," said Richard Hornsby, a criminal defense attorney.

The defense asked Orange County Judge Stan Strickland to remove himself from the case on April 16, which he did three days later.

It was a gamble that some legal experts said did not pay off.

"You went from the most defense friendly judge, or what most defense attorney's would want -- Judge Strickland -- to the one judge most prosecutors want because they have a case. They have their evidence and they know they're in the right most of the time," Hornsby said.

Hornsby said Perry is a by-the-book judge, but that guarantees nothing for the defense.

"You can have a very fair judge but if you lose the case, you have to be prepared to pay the ultimate penalty -- whether it's the maximum sentence or in Casey Anthony's case, the death penalty," Hornsby said.

The hearing is set to get under way at 9:30 a.m.
