Sounds like the long arm of investigating mitigating circumstances has gone past the immediate family and now has reached into the hidey holes that the parental A's have in their past. Maybe the destruction of the perfect family has started. We already know that CA really hates to be confronted with truth, it's got to be killing her to find out that the defense henchmen are beating the bushes regarding their past.

They are going to go back to the time of conception, and every thing that happened between then and now. I'm actually very interested in this, I always have to know what makes a person tick, and I'm prepared for what makes Casey and her family tick.

    Andrea Lyon is one of the Lawyers for Casey Anthony.
 
    I am having a hard time understanding why DePaul University is allowing their employees to defend a child murder while on "company time".  Not only allowing Andrea Lyon to take leave for a defendant but paying her salary and paying for a teacher to do her duties while she is out of state.  Allowing her to profit from the murder by writing books and in some cases recieving the book rights to the murder.  I realize that the son of Sam law does not apply to the attorney.... yet....but as a Christian how can anyone want or need to make money off a murder victim.
     Because none of the work that needs to be done on these cases will be done at night... hearing.... press releases...depos.  And the fact that Depaul is allowing yet a second paid employee to represent Casey Anthony while still drawing a salary only proves to me that DePaul is in agreement with Lyon.... throw everyone under the bus and screw the truth.
    DePaul University does have a copy of her repulsive speech.  And still allows her to teach students. Wonder if DePaul also has no respect for judges and juries.

I can't believe he is doing this pro bono, when I look at his cases they are mostly small time stuff which doesn't equal a lot of money (however according to Hornsby he has raised his fees considerably since he got FAMOUS) let me get my tongue out of my cheek!   and to the best of my recollection I can't remember him ever stating he was working pro bono. I don't care what they say ... I still think there is some under the radar dealing.  How in the world is he paying his personal expenses and his office expenses when working on this case 24/7 for two years with hardly any pay?  I don't know what his wife does - but I wouldn't think she'd be financially supporting the home and his law office this whole time out of her own pocket.

Newfie...I agree....he is getting money from someplace..........perhaps an advance on a book.....I doubt his wife is funding not only the case, but the practice.   I loved the way Kathi kept pointing out that they had already spent $340,000........and it has not ALL been accounted for. The replay of the March 18 hearing on truTV gave a bird's eye view of the difference a judge makes. Judge Perry is fair to each side but will not bend the rules for anyone. This alone favors the prosecution. He is not swayed in the least by Mason, Lyon, or any big name the defense can conjure up. I know he came to this case by action taken by the defense but this could not have worked out better as we seek justice for Caylee. To me, it appears he is on the bench by Divine Appointment. Sometimes things are done with evil motives and God turns it around for the good !

Cindy and George Marie AWOL from court?  Very suspicious. If the duhfense is going the abuse route, I'll bet that is not sitting well with the A's.

Casey doesn't enjoy her time in court as far as I'm concerned. I really think she feels it's a nuisance and interrupts her jail routine which she's very used to. She likes to sleep the day away and being that this is not the first time they're asking for her to be excused, it makes a lot of sense to me.
Se probably won't even want to show up for her pesky little murder trial.

Can't wait to watch the hearing. Sounds like it was really good and Bozo was foiled again.

JMO, but with so much emphasis on Ms. Barrett it seems clear to me that HER DUHfence team fully expect her to be convicted of MURDER...........Ms. Barrett and her input will be for the sentencing phase, to try to keep her from getting the DP.....only because they don't beleive in the DP....it has nothing to do with Caylee or KC for them.....it the DP..............Damn, if I felt I was that close to getting the death penalty I would be demanding a plea. These attorneys are only out for their own glory. They KNOW she is going to be convicted..but I bet that's not what they are telling her

Sunny, guilty or innocent -- I wouldn't want to miss a minute.  I can't understand why she thinks it is so unimportant, even to herself.  If guilty, I would make sure my attorneys worked their butts off and if innocent, I would make sure no stone was left unturned.  Her not caring even about herself makes me nod my head.  Unless, of course, they have told her no matter how this trial turns out, she will get to appeal.  Lord, you would think she would want to get out of jail.  But, maybe not being around her mother is reward enough.
On another note, I found her jailhouse "bling" so attractive today :>)
