So this Ms. Barrett after talking to family......what's she gonna say, she should be pitied and spared the DP because the entire family hated KC cause she was a liar and a thief.....good luck with that as an excuse for murdering your baby Caylee!

I guess Seeme that is her position within is to portray Casey as necessary hah. Bobo said that this woman has interviewed all these relatives of Casey's ..from Ohio, Carolina's ... who are these people. Since day one  "no one" from the family but Rick Plesea has ever spoke out. Its been CA/GA/LA and Grandma Shirley. Not one " Friend of Family" has ever been heard of or seen. Even the Neighbors don't want to be involved.  Who are all these " family members" that were interviewed by Barrett to represent Casey's person/present/past ??
Beat me with a stick    .. sounds like nonsense, but then again it was Bobo who explained her " Barrett's"  key purpose for testimony.  

JMO, but with so much emphasis on Ms. Barrett it seems clear to me that HER DUHfence team fully expect her to be convicted of MURDER...........Ms. Barrett and her input will be for the sentencing phase, to try to keep her from getting the DP.....only because they don't beleive in the DP....it has nothing to do with Caylee or KC for them.....it the DP..............Damn, if I felt I was that close to getting the death penalty I would be demanding a plea. These attorneys are only out for their own glory. They KNOW she is going to be convicted..but I bet that's not what they are telling her

I think they are ALL working toward the penalty phase of the trial and have completely discarded all idea they had of of getting her found not guilty. At this point they are just milking the hearings for all the publicity THEY can get and to hell with KC..................Unfortunately she is way TOO STUPID to see it and the BOZO won't let anyone get close enough to her to tell her.

She is suing the State of Florida for funds for the defense which it sounded like she expects to lose before she can even mount it, She compared the experience to the Salem Witch Trial, although it sounded even worse. It is like Alice in Wonderland, “first the verdict and then the trial.”  WTH, I just know I'm living in a parallel universe 

    And you actually survive the HaLeigh threads too.   My hat's off to you--you're a stronger person than I am.

I don't know who she is kidding ..she does not look like that photo. noooo Maybe 20 yrs ago.
I guess if it makes her Smile ..that's what matters.

Hi Brandi and all---It might make her smile but it makes me laugh.  I'll never forget that lace-up-the-back black dress thingy she wore in court.  I don't know if there is a course in law school on how to dress professionally for court, but there should be and she should take it, as well as Ms. Lyon.  Clothes do make the man, or in this case the woman.  Many, if not most, people make a judgement on a first impression. If a person is not dressed appropriately for the occasion, it reflects badly on them, IMO.  Perhaps I shouldn't say this, but both Ms. Baden and Ms. Lyon look slovenly, as if they don't care about their appearance.  I think you must look your best to do your best.

hi BB........I wondered where you were

I 'heard' from several female attorney's in Houston that some female attorney's felt like they bonded' with jurors better if they dressed down as opposed to dressing up. Fortunately none of our female attorney's felt that way. They were stylish and professional just as  Linda Drane Burdick.  Personally both Lyons and Baden looks like old bar gals to me...JMO

Basically what Line 13 says: statements by JJ did not match up - after the fact " LE & Mort " compared and were given 2 different stories/accounts by JJ.  That too me says John Jordan is not a credible witness Duh. More stalling by Duhfense since JJ was to be their smoking gun but 5 wks ago - failed, Which as we all recall BOBO did not disclose in court that JJ was not credible. Quite the opposite of what Mort his Lead Detective has recorded
My questions of Mort Smith " LEAD" Detective, does that mean He is the only "investigator" ONE? on the Duhfense Team?  If he is so great and has been appointed " Lead Detective" How come no one from the Duhfense Team can locate Mark Nejame's Office ?? He seems to be the one that is handling the TES portion of " Investigation" that is so essential according to BahYez ...and Bahyez has been whining since Mark Nejame whipped him in court ..weeks ago. * I can't have what I want ~ My Way from TES/MN ..waaa.  He tried it today/speaking of witnesses/discovery with Judge Perry..he started in with the sentence of TES and Judge Perry cut him off at the pass..and said LETS Stay on track. And Bahyez was like OOO well excuse me. It was never brought back up.

** My other thought on more ways to waste time and money - was the clarification made by JAR when he was discussing Atty's Pro Bono. He said that IF there is ONE Atty representing a Client their Travel would be paid for. Who said this I cant recall .. There is 8 members of Counsel on the Defense Team for Casey Anthony. I wrote it down 8 Mort is not Counsel he is a detective. Or is he part of counsel?

Hi Newfie---I, too, wish that Caylee's father would be identified.  I can think of several lawsuits he could file, including fraud, wrongful death, etc. etc. etc.  Against Casey and the entire family.  Even if he were dead, I think his family has standing to sue if they were kept away from Caylee or from even knowing she existed.  It's so strange that the Anthonys acted as if Caylee were the result of a virgin birth and no male was involved. In the past the father of a child born out of wedlock had no rights concerning the child, but times have changed and the father has the same rights and responsibilities he would have were he married to the mother.  It's my belief, however, that even Casey doesn't know the identity of Caylee's father.  If she did, she would have demanded and gotten some child support money and if the father is indeed deceased, she could have gotten Social Security payments.  I do not believe that the Anthonys, money grubbers that they are, would have passed on getting some money from Caylee's father.
