Happy Mother's Day everyone.

Wow, I wonder how long Monday's hearing is going to be if it's on Tru TV from 9-3pm. (we don't get that here)
I'll have to catch it online after work, but thanks to everyone's commentary I feel like I'm watching with you guys.
It should be interesting.

Happy Mother's Day  an angelic monkey  I get Tru TV, but since I live on the West Coast it doesn't start until 9 our time, but it will have already have happened. I'm thankful for My Fox Orlando, I can't seem to get the other stations to play for me on this computer. It is nice for the commentary, I appreciate it also.

No Rose:

Did you ever download Adobe Flash? There's no reason you shouldn't pick up other station's videos. Why don't you call whoever makes the computer? That would drive me nuts. Is it windows based or apple? With apple, I also use Dix video convertor. Don't know if that helps, but I'd call if I were you. You've got nothing to lose, except your patience if u call customer service.

CNN posted today http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/05/09/florida.casey.anthony.court/?hpt=T2

snips:
(CNN) -- Casey Anthony is back in court this week for crucial hearings that could determine whether she will face the death penalty, where her murder trial will be held next year and what evidence the jury will hear.
At this week's hearings, Anthony's defense attorneys will try to convince the judge to take the death penalty off the table. The defense team also is trying to keep some evidence it considers "gossip" away from the jury. And, the defense has asked to move the case to an area of Florida where there has been less publicity.
-- The article is nothing of " BOMBSHELL" cough.. I am so over that word.

The comments though written of this article are worth the read ....being that CNN is a international site and not a Florida Newspaper. That the comments are coming in from all over the USA ..etc.

Try this No Rose.
There seems to be a problem with Firefox 3 and adobe flash.
You might have to download it for internet explorer and watch web videos from IE.

Casey Anthony's change of venue to be heard in court

Accused child killer Casey Anthony will be in Orange County court Monday morning for a hearing on several motions, including changing the venue of her murder trial.
Chief Judge Belvin Perry is considering moving the trial to improve the chances of finding an impartial jury. But at a hearing late last month, Perry raised the idea of selecting a jury in a different county and bringing it to Orlando for the trial.

The court is worried that a lengthy trial in another county would cost too much, especially considering the number of experts and witnesses both sides are expected to call to testify.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys told Perry they expect the trial to last up to two months, followed by what could be a long penalty phase as well.

Anthony is accused of murdering her daughter Caylee in 2008. She told investigators Caylee was kidnapped by a babysitter.

The trial is currently set to begin May 9, 2011.

Casey Anthony Murder Trial One Year Away
Sunday, May 09, 2010 8:35:01 PM
ORLANDO -- A single satellite truck sits outside the Orange County Courthouse.

But it will be a different scene May 9, a year from now, when Casey Anthony stands trial for first-degree murder in the death of 2-year-old Caylee.

"We're going to see a type of trial that Orange County has definitely never seen, and Florida has never seen. It’s going to be something to see along the lines of OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson," said Richard Hornsby, legal analyst.

This week, newly appointed Judge Belvin Perry will hear outstanding motions including death penalty objections.

Hornsby said those are mostly formalities filed in case laws ever change.

Motions that could have a bigger impact include whether photos of Casey before Caylee's death or Roy Cronk’s past can be used as evidence.

"It's going to be a critical issue in the case because that seems to be the defense’s entire argument that another person may have placed the body there while Casey Anthony was in jail," Hornsby said.
Then there's the motion for a change of venue.

Judge Perry has already hinted he thinks the cheapest and easiest way to have a trial is to keep it in Orange County and bring in a jury from another part of the state if needed.

If that happens, by law, they'd have to be sequestered.

"Once you start telling people that you are going to have to live in a hotel for three months, people who might want to be on your trial and be more defense-friendly will say ‘I can't put my life on hold.’"

Once a jury is seated, they'll hear from as many as 250 witnesses and lawyers, who by that point will have been building their case for nearly three years.

Where Will Casey’s Trial Be Held?
Monday, May 10, 2010 4:36:23 AM

Reported by Mark Jenkins

ORLANDO -- Questions about the death penalty could be answered this week in the Case against Casey Anthony.

However, the court will decide today if her murder trial will be held in Orange County.

Defense Attorney Jose Baez wants to send the case to South Florida – in either Miami-Dade or Broward counties.

He said there's been far too much publicity surrounding the case and that it'd be hard to find a jury that hasn't already heard about Anthony, much less developed their own opinion about her.

That would mean moving some 200 witnesses, a judge and court personnel and dozens of investigators for possibly a month.

Legal experts said that could cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Chief Judge Belvin Perry has already said it'd be cheaper to hold it here and bring in potential jurors from outside the county.
They would then be sequestered, which legal analyst Richard Hornsby said would hurt the defense.

"Once you start telling people that you are going to have to live in a hotel for three months, people who might want to be on your trial and be more defense friendly will say ‘I can't put my life on hold,'" Hornsby said.

Defense attorneys believe the story has gotten considerably less air time in South Florida.

Perry will also look at other motions this week, like defense objections to the death penalty, which Anthony faces after being charged with killing her daughter.

Her trial is still set for May 9, 2011.
