The new judge in the Casey Anthony case is keeping up with his reputation for a no-nonsense approach.

Judge Belvin Perry has set three hearings for this month. 

The first, which will be held Tuesday morning will discuss the budget in the case including how much taxpayer money Casey Anthony's lawyers plan to use for her defense. 

On May 10, judge Perry will hold a hearing on pending motions in the case that are "ripe for consideration."

A day later, Perry wants to hear pending motions regarding the death penalty.

There is also a status hearing in Casey's civil case set for Tuesday afternoon.

They want to hide something, just not sure what it is yet.
It is expected that she will be examined by all kinds of Psych people, there's no secret in that- probably a Sexual abuse specialist too,  but we wouldn't expect otherwise. What defense strategy would they be divulging by our knowing that  Pschologists, Psychiatrists and Neurologists were visiting..... ? Big deal.
They are just trying to circumvent the Sunshine Laws again, we have the right to this information and I hope the Judge will not give in to them.

They would not really care WHO knew about psychiatrists or doctors, BUT what if they have someone hiding in the wings who is willing to say that KC was sexually abused by not only LA but GA also and had been for years.  But they have to all get together to get their stories straight. They sure would not want those witnesses known.

Maybe one or two girls or guys she went to school with from a younger age or even maybe some men she told while banging them. THAT would be a real kicker for her PTSD defense and blacking out so she really did not know what happened for those days or weeks afterward.

Or back to my original defense of she left Caylee that night with GA & CA and NEVER went back, and totally went into PTSD after she found out Caylee was dead. She would need witnesses to back these stories up and they may be getting them lined up for her.

If her boinking buddies are willing to testify that she gave them this molested story, they will be discredited as to why they did not come forward much sooner - like when Casey was first arrested or after Caylee's remains were found....I mean she is facing the DP so why be secretive as a witness if its exculpatory?   After all Jesse & Tony gave that knowledge of an accusation by Casey to LE as they were both interviewed without hesitation, which also by the way would question why PTSD or a "mental block" would occur years and/or months prior to Caylee's murder.   If they go with a PTSD defense, they will have to dance around why Caylee being killed is the ONLY thing Casey blocked & yet not the memory of being abused....JMO

ORLANDO, Fla. --
Judge Belvin Perry finalized a schedule Monday shoehorning three critical hearings in the next eight days.

On Thursday morning, a hearing will be held to talk about how much taxpayer money Anthony should be budgeted to aid in her defense, now that she has been declared indigent.

On Friday, defense attorney Jose Baez asked Perry if the budget concerns will be discussed in private. Perry decided the budget hearing will be held in open court Thursday.
Perry said he he wanted to know how many hours the defense team's experts will require and if they are willing to abide by the fee schedule set by Florida's Justice Administrative Commission.

Next week, a series of important defense motions will be heard, including a hearing on the trial's location and another to discuss whether evidence can be introduced suggesting the man who discovered Caylee's remain, Roy Kronk, should have been investigated as a possible suspect.
Perry said he also plans to consider a series of defense motions challenging the death penalty.

WESH 2's Bob Kealing said, by next week, followers of the case should expect to know how much money it will cost taxpayers to defend Casey Anthony, where her trial will be held and whether the state can keep pursuing the ultimate punishment against her.

Why if Casey is innocent as proclaimed by Bozo himself or that Mason is looking forward to walking out arm-in-arm with that slore (yea right) do they feel the need to constantly ask for private meetings?   You'd think they would get a clue by now!

Look, let's all be honest here for a moment.   I cannot believe the defense is being this dense as to push this "Kronk should have been a suspect" crap, and it is just that.   Why?   You can't say Zanny the nanny abducted Caylee & then connect that miraculously from NY, Miami, Puerto Rico or whereever else the Anthonys claimed she might be  yet would end up back at the Anthony home to gather very specific items (not so much Caylee's items but the duct tape, heart shape sticker) to and arrange for Kronk to kill and dispose of Caylee a block from their home.   Also, let's not forget that Kronk hasnt been the only one maliciously named as a suspect by not only Casey, but her family & defense team.      TOO FLIPPIN RIDICULOUS FOR WORDS!

The Defense is up a "creek without a paddle", and has been from the beginning -- that is why everything they do/say seems so pathetically outrageous.  The facts, when presented in court, will stand up for themselves and there is nothing the Defense can do about it.   Caylee will receive the justice which is her due.

I have to add to thoughts of " Why" someone becomes Casey as Casey ...... gag
If it was truly based upon environment " her childhood" her upbringing - that it was her reasons to become  a cold calculated teen, thief, no conscience what so ever, nothing can stop me, I can call my out my Father and Mother - say whatever comes out of my 4 letter mouth - for years on end. I have no recognizance. MY Payback to them is " I will NOT graduate from High School - ( I sure showed them) .. DAMN I am good * Casey. 

That is not behavior of " One who gets Life "  in the first place. If one " gets it" ( not growing up in Beaver Cleaver house)  they will survive anything within their environment with options of escape. It becomes a Job to do whatever it takes to leave and GROW and MOVE AWAY and separate themselves as they are able to - They won't stay and continue to stir and sit in the fire.  Kid's can't handle that sh*t - if they are mindful and have their head square - Priority is Self Preservation and being Self sufficient - No matter how long it takes-  Getting OUT is fought for and made.  Elder teens do not sit and stir within - NO. I know because I was that kid.  I did everything in my power to work jobs - gain money, bank it - I had 2 part-time jobs in 11th grade -  I was never home. I went to High School crack ass Dawn and worked till Dark - sometimes after 2 am on Fri/Sat nights.  Why ? because I had to. For Me. 
That is what Casey has never had EVER in her life - She has never felt within herself " That Fight" to Fight for her Own Self. She has no Identity - She has no sense of Self. As self centered and selfish she appears - She would not recognize her SELF if it stared her Eye to Eye in a mirror. She has created this " Beautiful Life Lie" of being Six years old the Prize of MOM and DAD ~ yet wants to be free wielding stealing them blind, running wild without any rules of society " Shut the F up MOM/DAD ... That is not environment - that is Casey her jacked up sense of Self. She is not a HOPE Sykes. She has conditioned her own self through the years with everyone. She masquerades and flip switches like a Chameleon. Where ever she is ..even if its out of her comfort zone - She will " Fit" in.

Mental Illness  No, Family upbringing No, Do I believe some ppl are born evil - yes. 

 

I agree Deenie.. Hugs and understanding from another who couldn't wait to get the heck outta dodge, counting the years/months/weeks/days/minutes til that happened.  Oh yeah. 

Am thinking that what you've written and what I wrote are in some ways saying some of the same things, just put differently.  A malignant narcissist (psychopath) is largely in part "born" thatta way, (evil)... which is why there is NO therapy that will work... as well as environmental to some degree when they continue along with that to learn from a narcissistic parent/caregiver in their life.  The antisocial personality (sociopath) is the reverse, largely environmental with genetics to some degree. 

One reason I know so much about this stuff is cuz of my oldest son.  He definitely is at the least a sociopath.  <cries>  Close enough to the behavior of Casey to be a male version of her in most attitudes, but not quite as 'evil'... so far.  However, I am not narcissistic or borderline, his father is.  And even tho he hasn't been around his father for over 23 years, he's a walkin talkin clone of him.  How can that be without being in his life since he was 6?  Genetics.   

Not saying that Casey can blame it all on genetics, she has her own share of choices that she has made for herself as a child/teen and adult.  Just saying it's a combination of both genetics and environment, and am betting the defense will use that to the possible max and likely beyond.  Not that it will help tho.  lol

I read this statement of MD's in a recent article posted on his blog....it proves he THINKS this case is all about him!

Yep to all of you !      There's no way to discuss the "victim, Caylee" without discussing how she became a victim and who caused her to die. He's so bassackwards and irritating that I personally don't know how anyone reads his blog. His 15 minutes of fame should have been up about 2 weeks ago but unfortunately it's not and in his marinaded, over saturated brain he will always be a celebrity. I wish he'd just take his hankie and run home to mama and daddy...oh, yeah, I forgot he already has. (sorry, just couldn't hold it back)

Does it seem to y'all that marinadedave has come out even more obnoxious than he was before what happened with the judge?  Seems to me that would cause someone in dave's position to sit back n hide from shame, definitely hush at least for awhile.  But not him!  Sheeeesh.

That's exactly what it sounds like to me too, that they are trying to circumvent the Sunshine Laws again.  They seem to have such a need to control every aspect of this case, including what the court's role in this is.  Too bad for them they live in FL where the Sunshine Laws is.. well.. law.

It is doubtful the defense will succeed with something this broad, nor do I think that CJBP will reverse a previous order (appeal concerns) i.e. the Anthonys previous request.   Generally, judges will not make exception to change jail standard operating procedures, especially concerning security & monitoring for one defendant, regardless wide coverage of the case.   If anything they may be granted that professionals that may testify for the defense on their evaluations & expertise will be sealed, but yes the prosecution will receive same under the rules of discovery.

I doubt the defense is attempting to use the Anthonys to get Casey to plea.   I do not see Cindy caving to encourage her monster to serve 25 or more years in jail for something she insists she didn't do, this family is fighting because they got caught & they don't want to face the shame of being judicially found guilty of murder, conspiracy after the fact nor have it affirmed that this family are the lowest form of life.     However, the defense may be hoping for a confrontation regarding Casey's accusations of molestation & abuse because they have nothing that indicates her claim is yet not another lie or it could be that they are merely trying to demonstrate that Casey's family still supports her & believes in her innocence, yea right.   It is my firm believe that the State will never agree to take a plea of less than 25 years to life, if anything at all.   There are a few reasons why I take that position, not the least of which the recent estimation of time the prosecution feels they need in an expected penalty phase is telling...they are confident.

They undoubtedly will launch a diminished capacity defense but at this point IMHO they can only use this in penalty phase because Casey has insisted on her innocence & this should have been done long before now.   Her family insisted infatically that she did not have mental health history, her defense never even approached it beyond Lenamons's what if's & put forward that she was innocent.    Not a sole will believe her new stories because she told too many lies already, it will be transparent that after 2 years she is now admitting culpability no matter the reason to avoid the ultimate punishment, in other words she is guilty & knows she will be convicted of felony murder.   If she attempts to admit that she made up the nanny, regrets fingering others as possible suspects she is admitting that she concealed what she did to avoid having to face the consequence, in my view as soon as the prosecution would get wind of that change in strategy they will know to definitely take this case to trial.
