Interesting about the default  and foreclosure.  Looks to me like the A's decided they'd rather be homeless then have anything to give to ZFG.  Sure looks that way to me.
Wonder how much moola has made its way into George's Mom's bank account for safe keeping?

Can one file a motion of continuance on the day of the hearing?  I mean that doesn't give the judge much leadway to repurpose the courtroom, the clerk, etc?  Seems like a huge waste of time, people and money to me.  Wait..it is the A family..that's what they do for goodness sake.

The default appears to have been entered on the mortgage insurance company for non response or appearance.    There is a June date listed after the Notice of Hearing, so that may mean it is a new date set for hearing.   The dropping parties appear to be unknown defendants NOT the Anthonys, see here:

I called the OS & left a message with Renee Stutzman about the Notice for Continuance, the article has been just updated to read:

Attorneys for Casey Anthony are expected in court this afternoon to defend her in a defamation suit.

Anthony is being sued in circuit court in Orange County by Zenaida Gonzalez, a Kissimmee woman who accuses Anthony of damaging her reputation.

Anthony told investigators a baby sitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez abducted her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Marie, in 2008.

Anthony is accused of killing her daughter that year. The baby sitter was never found and authorities believe she does not exist.

Gonzalez is seeking unspecified damages. She filed suit two years ago, saying she was harmed by Anthony's statement about the baby sitter.

After investigating that claim and many others, authorities charged Anthony with murder. The child's body was found several months later in a patch of woods not far from Anthony's home.

Anthony is now in the Orange County Jail, awaiting trial on a first-degree murder charge. The state is seeking the death penalty.

The hearing at 1:30 p.m. is a routine pretrial conference.  The attorneys on both sides plan to ask Orange Circuit Court Judge Jose R. Rodriguez for more time to prepare for trial.

In September, Anthony's attorney, Jonathan Kasen, asked the judge to delay or throw out the civil suit. Anthony shouldn't be placed under oath and required to say whether or not she murdered her child, he argued.

But Gonzalez's attorney later agreed not to ask that question, and Rodriguez ruled that the case should move forward.

Good Morning Monks...thanks trim....as usual s super article by Val.   I was not aware one could get a dual credit card.....ie the Sears/Visa card discussed in the article.

It is a Sears brand card, but it is a regular Visa you can use anywhere. All it is is just a gold or platinum Visa.  I don't know about JCP but I do know about the Sears one.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A hearing is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon in Casey Anthony's civil case, although Anthony will not attend.
Zenaida Gonzalez filed a defamation lawsuit against Anthony, claiming she ruined her reputation by linking her to the disappearance of Anthony's daughter, Caylee.

Anthony told authorities in 2008 that she left her daughter with a baby sitter named Zenaida Gonzlalez and the two were gone when she went to pick up her daughter.

Anthony, 24, was charged in the death of Caylee, whose remains were found in a wooded lot in Orange County in December 2008. Anthony has pleaded not guilty and remains jailed on first-degree murder charges.

It's possible that a trial date will be set in the civil case.

Gonzalez is seeking more than $15,000 in damages.

Laura Buchanan in a sworn statement claims that she was a searcher in the area where Caylee was found, and she wasnt there on 9/3/08.  She stated:   "On Sept. 3, 2008... I personally searched near the privacy fence and worked my way towards, and then the spot, where the body was found. I did not notice anything unusual. I did not notice a strange smell. I noticed no buzzards, nor unusual animal or insect activity. It is my opinion that the remains of Caylee Anthony were not there during the time of our search."

To this I say, and so what?   The water level, thickness of brush - not a surprise.   She has NO WAY of knowing what the "exact" spot is, first of all.   I truly believe that the animal & plant life will indicate strongly that the body was placed there in June within a 2-3 week time period & that the water level evidence of that period of time will discredit her, "ray of sunshine, not" and whoever claims otherwise.

Even the Plaintiff may have new witnesses to depose or something of that nature that would require more time.   I see no news that it will be carried live, I'll look after noon to see if there are any updates.

Ok, thanks Capp. I'll catch it later when it's released. Have a dr.s appt. It is sooooooooo hot here. I was out for 10 minutes and I'm dying already and it's only May.

They want to postpone this civil case until after the criminal case if at all possible. I understand their reasoning, it's just a letdown.
