Reason Number One to get rid of Labour: Immigration

Quote
Since 1997 almost 1.7 million new jobs have been created for people of working age. Of them, 1.64 million went to foreign-born workers. This is shameful beyond words. Even Woolas must sense this.

First he tries to dismiss the figures by claiming that they come from The Spectator. They do not: they come from the Office of National Statistics. Woolas then tries to dodge the issue by arguing the difference between immigrant labour and foreign-born workers.

How much of the stimulus money went to foreigners?  Illegal aliens?  Foreign countries?  'Special' immigrants, from Obama's special immigration programs?

How much went to Americans?  Immigrants who waited in line?

The full facts and figures from the ONS were uncovered by Fraser Nelso in in this article……

“Immigration facts and figures”

“The figures show the extent to which Brown’s “boom” was a mirage built not just on debt, but foreign labour. Most seriously, we can see a deep dysfunctionality in the UK labour market. Our system keeps millions on benefits (never less than 5 million have been on some kind of benefits since 1997) while meeting the needs of expanding the economy with a limitless supply of industrious immigrant labour. This means that the direct link between a growing economy and combating poverty is broken – and this is a serious development that demands attention.”

“Brown has exploited immigration to hide from deep problems”

“The PM’s claim to have created three million British jobs is a grave deceit, says Fraser Nelson. Strip out immigrants from the picture, and Labour has barely dented the problem of British worklessness. Over to you, Mr Cameron”

“Lords’ report exposes Labour’s lies on the ‘benefits’ of mass immigration”

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-548628/Lords-report-exposes-Labours-lies-benefits-mass-immigration.html#ixzz0kiXzSj7u

The devastating cross-party report went on to:
•Dismiss Ministers’ “preposterous” assertion that migrants boost the economy by £6billion a year;
•Reject Government claims that foreigners will help to defuse the pensions timebomb;
•Demolish the “fundamentally flawed” Downing Street argument that migrants fill vacancies in the economy;
•And warn that migrants will force up house prices by 10 per cent in the next two decades.

No jobs for Americans and those here legally?  Just the welfare state on borrowed money life support?
