justinsmama  I love it!!!!   Can we borrow it for use here too?

pdh3  You make it sound like the way the Kiwis speak.  They are very noticeable here and pronounce things like "sux" for six.

when I was in college, my roommate just barraged me whenever I said fixin to... and I stopped saying it... but you know what??? I love it... and  I am fixin to start using that again...

right now, I am fixin to go to the grocery store!! Very Happy

Well, here in the hills of Tennessee, a lot of the older people add an "a" to the front of a lot of words - as in I'm "a-fixin to go to the store."  Laughing

I remember when I was very young also hearing a lot of adults who used the word "commenced" for began - as in "he commenced to whoop the tar out of the other guy."

I also remember hearing "he's a pretty lookin' aspect" as a kind of deragatory term for bad behavior. Has anyone else ever heard that?
