Phil Keaton of Foxnews is reporting that Joran is due to reach the border in approx 45 minutes from now

Im still reeling over Greta, her blog needs to get flooded with advice that she stick to the where the blame belongs....Aruba, the Dutch government, first and foremost that smug sociopath murderer (IMHO) Joran.

I felt that the FBI was waiting for a reason, it appears that they were still gathering evidence, thus the wait.   She is going way off the mark of this story & in my view at this point I feel that it is best that she stick to politics because she has lost her way covering criminal cases....needless to say I am extremely disappointed in her.

Maybe Greta is afraid of some sort of lawsuit ... who knows?  Or maybe she really did get 'taken in' by Joran & Co.  and she feels personally humiliated as her intelligence is insulted ?   It's a puzzlement.

I think the FBI took their time to do it right, made sure all the ts were crossed and the is were dotted.  This was so Tacopina could not get him out of it.  You see how he is already spinning for Joran.

Excellent point.

O I know Bearly, Taco is another one that makes me sick to my stomach.   You may be right about Greta being humiliated to a certain degree, IMHO she took a hit when she let Joran manipulate her yet again, she even started going off course in the Caylee Anthony case IMHO shortly after her focus shifted to politics heavily.  At first I thought well it is a Presidential election year but no she continues to cover politics more than criminal cases as her show launched.   I also know her husband is a wealthy high profile attorney/political consultant (he was her law partner when she practiced).

Taco would be very out of place representing Joran in this case; not even sure it's possible. (With the Holloway case, of course, there was the U.S.A. angle.)

ARUBA: It's all about Natalee...we won't give up!

video...Joran in slow-motion...walking with police and adorned with handcuffs, and a reporter with a microphone stuck in Joran's face
tee hee

It was never about sex, those 20 times or with Natalee, it was about power.  It was about forcing someone to do something they did not want to do.  These women were not women to him, they were faceless, nameless and they meant nothing to him.  They were someone's sister, daughter, friend, granddaughter,  but to him, they were nothing and nobody.  He will never get it, his Mom will never get it.  She will always think the girls/women thought he was as delicious and irresistible as she herself found him.

Then the game got boring and he had to up it and Natalee died, and he was arrogantly getting away with it.  Once Joe Tacopina came aboard, it entered a different realm, the realm of the criminal minded world.  He sold girls into prostitution, according to PdV.  He thought he was a big gangsta, well, he doesn't look so big now.  His arrest just proves he was not the mastermind in the cover up.  In order to blend in with a sea of people with dark hair, he dies his hair red.  He stuck out like a sore thumb, like his hair was on fire.  He had help in Aruba, if you didn't believe it then, believe it now.

I feel relieved to see him in cuffs, so he will not hurt anyone else, although I fear he will hurt someone in prison, it's like it's own world there.  I also feel very sad.  Locking him up does not bring Natalee back, or Stephany, or the other 20 or so others, or the girls sold into horror.

Anita, he was safer in prison on Aruba, you should have let him do his time instead of helping to cover up a crime he committed, the murder of a beautiful woman, full of life and potential.  I fear her murder was a stepping stone to the next brutal murder.  Anita, his blood is also on your hands.  He could have been locked up on Aruba, it was your choice to let him off.  You could have stopped it at any time.  How does it feel to have helped in creating what you see now by your actions?  He is not safe, he is now the prey, it was your call.

I AGREE!  Very well stated, Sis!

VAN DER SLOOT HUNG OUT TO DRY BY EX DEFENSE LAWYER

Dual murder suspect JORAN van der SLOOT who is the prime suspect in the disappearance of NATALEE HOLLOWAY and the murder of a Peruvian woman has gone "down a very disturbing path" his former lawyer reveals.

RadarOnline.com reports that top criminal defense attorney Joe Tacopina - who repped the Dutch national in the Natalee Holloway case - won't take him on as a client again.

"At this stage I wouldn't agree to be his attorney because the Joran of today has gone down a very disturbing path in life," he said.

"I met and knew Joran four and a half years ago and he was overwhelmed by the media. The kid I knew back then would not have committed an act of violence. (BS)

"The only reason I got involved in the case is because we did a two month investigation and believed he had no involvement in the murder or disappearance in Aruba.

"However his behavior over the last two and a half years has made me believe he is not the same person I knew."

As The ENQUIRER exclusively reported, van der Sloot was first accused, and then arrested in Chile following an international manhunt, on suspicion of Stephany Flores' murder, after her slashed and bloody corpse was found in his hotel room in Lima, Peru.

"If he is guilty of this crime it would rightly turn the first case (Holloway) on its face, but that doesn't change the evidence."

What an ASSWIPE

OK, so Taco claims he did a two month investigation, I'd love to see his work product....interesting since Aruba & the Dutch government did not even cooperate with the victim's family or anyone else assisting them to get to the truth!    It mystifies me why this once high profile attorney of favorable reputation is risking his career for a SMUG MONSTER!   Joran's character was evident the moment we saw his face, try again Taco WE'RE NOT BUYING IT!

I see Chile gave him a parting gift this morning, I nice new pair of brackets. Notice also the drawstring on the hood is gone.  They probably took that away in case he wanted to hurt himself.

The murder of the Peruvian college student has touched the National Police in a particular way. Ricardo Flores, the young woman’s father, is president of the civic committee that supports the police’s internal affairs division. “He is a great man who has always been loyal to the police. We have no doubts that we will solve this case,” says one officer who has worked with Mr. Flores on events organized to help officers in need.

Chile moves to Joran Van der Sloot to border with Peru

The Dutchman was expelled by the Chilean government after being arrested yesterday in a taxi on the highway from Santiago to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar.

Chilean police started moving the Dutchman Joran van der Sloot to the border with Peru to deliver it to the authorities of that country, where he is accused of murdering a 21 year old last weekend.

The police plane that travels the Van der Sloot, who was arrested on Thursday on the motorway that connects Santiago with the cities of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar, took off at 09:00 hours (13:00 GMT) from the aerodrome Tobalaba in the eastern sector of the Chilean capital.

The Dutchman, who was in Lima to participate in a poker tournament, his hands cuffed behind his back at the time of being removed from the barracks "Burgundy", Police Investigations (PDI) of Chile, where he spent the night .

Three detectives from the Immigration Unit of the PDI accompany Van der Sloot in the Cessna 310, which, according to sources from the institution, will take several hours to reach the border city of Arica, with an intermediate stop for refueling.

From Arica, the Dutchman will be transferred by road to the border crossing Chacalluta, which will be delivered to the Peruvian police.

In the same way Van der Sloot came to Chile on Sunday in a car after escaping from Lima, where he is mentioned as the suspected murderer of Stephany Ramirez Flores, 21, daughter of the famous race car driver and businessman Ricardo Flores that country, "rifle."

The Dutchman, who is also linked to the disappearance of another woman on the Caribbean island of Aruba, met in a casino Stephany Flores Lima and then both went to a hostel, where hours later he was found the body of the girl. EFE

Has Greta even asked the FBI for a statement? I would think/hope they have a good explanation and timeline. I wonder if she is getting this from Beth. Beth has still not spoken to anyone, right? Didn't Greta pay him money for an interview? Wonder what he did with that money Greta!

I seriously doubt that Beth would be disparaging [ negatively critical ] of the FBI, as they have done yeoman's work on behalf of Natale ;  During an ongoing investigation, rarely do you see the FBI giving an interview, and rightfully so.

Van der Sloot Arrest "Not Enough" for Holloways
Holloway's Stepfather: We Still Need to Find Out What Happened to Natalee

(CBS)  Joran van der Sloot is now on his way back to Peru to face charges in the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores.

Investigators say Flores was found on Sunday by a hotel maid face-down, her neck broken, in a hotel room registered under van der Sloot's name.

Five years ago, 18-year-old Natalee Holloway went missing on the island of Aruba and van der Sloot was the chief suspect in that case, as well. He was never formally charged in Holloway's death.

On "The Early Show" Friday, Natalee's stepfather, "Jug" Twitty and Carol Standifer, a close friend of Natalee's mother, Beth Twitty, discussed Flores' murder.

Twitty said he hopes Flores' investigation in Peru is conducted better than Natalee's in Aruba was.

Twitty said, "We could have had the answers in the first couple of days down there had they done their job right. And this should have never happened what's happened in Peru. And I actually lay blame on the one person in particular, that's the (police commissioner, Jan van der Straten), in charge at that time. Because he knew what happened. And it just happened to be political connections and friendship that kind of let Joran slip off the hook."

As for the Holloway family, Standifer said Beth Holloway is "overwhelmed" now at the news of Flores' death.

"She's just really very disturbed," Standifer said, adding, "Every Memorial Day weekend, it's hard for her and it's hard for all of us who went through this because it brings it back, and we remember what happened."

Could the arrest and possible prosecution of van der Sloot be enough for the Holloways?

Twitty told "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez, "It's a start. It's not enough. I think what Beth has worked so hard for, and will continue to work hard for, is to find out what happened to Natalee. And to find if it there are remains from Natalee. That's what we want."

Rodriguez pointed out the FBI is also charging van der Sloot with extortion after he allegedly accepted $250,000 to reveal the location of Natalee's body -- the information he provided turned out to be false, authorities say.

Standifer said she's not surprised by these charges, nor about any of the other news she's heard about van der Sloot.

She said, "There's nothing that could happen that would be shocking because we've had such unusual events happen throughout the last five years."

Clarifying the "AGAIN:"

Natalee was the wrong daughter, also.  When Natalee's family arrived within hours of her disappearance, Paulus was surprised.

Aruba was surprised by the publicity; surprised by Beth's determination.  The hoped for "two-week wonder" turned into a five-year march.

Natalee was "the wrong daughter" as was Stephany.

Joran is under the bus and likely to get squashed.

Medical question: If you have a broken neck, can you have what looks lik a seizure?

As in the life getting choked out of you, I'd say it is likely.   If he broke her neck by strangulation can you just fathom the immense force he used.

Any kind of trauma-physical, emotional, can bring on a seizure.  There was a man in the NICU who was watching his neonate, the baby had a (small) petit mal seizure, the father, had a grand mal seizure (big one) immediately following.  The dad had no history of seizures.

Wow ... that is interesting.  I have always heard that the mind is the strongest organ in the body.  He had a "sympathetic seizure."
