there is Mr.Flores in yet another lead position in Peru.. He is a very busy and well connected man in various businesses and organizations.

Joran.. You picked the wrong daughter this time.

He picked the wrong daughter when he killed Natalee too.  He picked the wrong country this time.

Thanks for that clarification, Klaas.

Clarifying the "AGAIN:"

Natalee was the wrong daughter, also.  When Natalee's family arrived within hours of her disappearance, Paulus was surprised.

Aruba was surprised by the publicity; surprised by Beth's determination.  The hoped for "two-week wonder" turned into a five-year march.

Natalee was "the wrong daughter" as was Stephany.

Joran is under the bus and likely to get squashed.

I agree.  My comment was that he picked the wrong country this time.

He certainly did.

I contend Joran was almost out of money (had spent most of the $15K) before time for the tournament--(Jun. 1?).

VAN DER SLOOT HUNG OUT TO DRY BY EX DEFENSE LAWYER

Dual murder suspect JORAN van der SLOOT who is the prime suspect in the disappearance of NATALEE HOLLOWAY and the murder of a Peruvian woman has gone "down a very disturbing path" his former lawyer reveals.

RadarOnline.com reports that top criminal defense attorney Joe Tacopina - who repped the Dutch national in the Natalee Holloway case - won't take him on as a client again.

"At this stage I wouldn't agree to be his attorney because the Joran of today has gone down a very disturbing path in life," he said.

"I met and knew Joran four and a half years ago and he was overwhelmed by the media. The kid I knew back then would not have committed an act of violence. (BS)

"The only reason I got involved in the case is because we did a two month investigation and believed he had no involvement in the murder or disappearance in Aruba.

"However his behavior over the last two and a half years has made me believe he is not the same person I knew."

As The ENQUIRER exclusively reported, van der Sloot was first accused, and then arrested in Chile following an international manhunt, on suspicion of Stephany Flores' murder, after her slashed and bloody corpse was found in his hotel room in Lima, Peru.

"If he is guilty of this crime it would rightly turn the first case (Holloway) on its face, but that doesn't change the evidence."

What an ASSWIPE

Klaas - there is an opportunity here. Someone send the Enquirer a copy of the thread at RU where they were falling all over themselves to contribute to Tacopina's defense fund? That should spur some further investigation by NE at the very least.

Peruvian jail term likely for Joran if convicted

Dutchman Joran van der Sloot, who is now suspected of murdering a woman in Peru on Monday, is likely to be put on trial there if he is found and arrested in Chile or any other Latin American country, Law Professor Geert-Jan Knoops has told members of the press in Amsterdam.

Joran van der Sloot - already the main suspect in case of the disappearance of US teenager Natalee Holloway on the island of Aruba in 2005 - had rented the hotel room in Lima where 21-year old Stephany Tatiana Ramírez was found murdered on Monday.

In the professor's opinion, Joran's Dutch nationality does not grant him any protection in Peru, nor will the Netherlands ask for his extradition. "I asssume that Joran is the main suspect in the Peru murder case and that the Peruvian authorities will want to prosecute him. In that case, he is an ordinary suspect. All the Netherlands can do is give him consular assistance."

If Joran van der Sloot is convicted, he will have to serve his term in Peru, Professor Knoops says. There is no judicial treaty between Peru and the Netherlands which would allow the sentence to be served in a Dutch jail. An ad hoc transfer of the verdict to the Dutch legal system would be possible only after Joran had exhausted all appeal options in Peru. "That could take quite a long time," according to the International Law professor.

Meanwhile, the public prosecutor in Aruba - where Natalee Holloway disappeared five years ago - is still considering whether to prosecute Joran, although he has argued that there is insufficient evidence to launch a prosecution.

OMG, what a lying POS!

I'll never believe that he didn't KNOW that there was PLENTY OF EVIDENCE that was destroyed or covered up!

Natalee saw the same Joran, that Joe claims to only see now on the last night of her graduation trip to Aruba.  She has never been seen again.  Beth saw him too, her first night in Aruba...he hid it well to the general public (and stupid Greta)...but Beth stated saw him again (the same Joran from that first night) in the hidden camera recordings of his conversations with Patrick Van der Eem.

Joe knew it..., but that long green stuff with the short future dictated his "take" on things...I guess that's probably what "defense" attorneys are supposed to do, but he should have saved it for a court of law.  All the misleading information he's fed to the media over and over and over again... IMO he has blood on his hands too!

I stand with the girl, Natalee Holloway.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

GEESH!!!
Whoops, didn't finish!

Geraldo is now on Fox saying Holloway's money funded his trip to Peru! How the heck do they know? Are they blind to the flipping point here. No mention of Aruba. He says he's talked to Paul but has not talked to Beth. I hope she shuts them all out!

Lol-that's why I wonder if Greta is afraid of Anita trying to blame Joran's present predicament on Greta's early reports & ultimately trying to drum up a frivlolous & meritless lawsuit;  The last person I'd talk with would be Geraldo-LOL.

I see Chile gave him a parting gift this morning, I nice new pair of brackets. Notice also the drawstring on the hood is gone.  They probably took that away in case he wanted to hurt himself.

look at the knuckles on the hand holding Joran's on the left side of the page....looks like that guy's got a good, tight grip on Joran.

The connections are GONE, and Joran is hung out to dry and twist in the wind.

Does anyone know the interrogation practices in Peru? (not policies, practices)

Family freaked when googled for Joran

Amsterdam - Relatives of the murdered girl Stephany Flores went by the name of the band when they Joran van der Sloot on the Internet googelden. Stephany was currently missing and was not known that she is now dead in the hotel room of Joran van der Sloot was.

The brother of the 21-year-old Stephany, Enrique, said Friday in the American program "The Early Show." After abandoning the loss was the family of security monitoring to see from the casino, where Stephany and Joran were together. The casino is owned by a family friend. They were also his name and passport number to see.
Carolina went home once, the wife of Enrique, tracking data to Joran on the Internet. When the family found out who is Joran they went through the tape and were terrified. An hour later, Stephany found. She was lying with a broken neck on the floor in the hotel room of Joran. He is being flown to Peru. Peru if he is found guilty of murder, he can certainly get 25 years cell.
