CERVICAL TRAUMA
Stephany's body was removed from the hotel at 4:00 a.m. yesterday and taken to the Morgue of Lima. The autopsy examination showed cervical blunt cranial trauma. He also had injuries in various body.

His remains are blurred in the Holy Name of Jesus Church Chacarilla. The funeral is scheduled for today at 4 p.m. in the Gardens of Peace Cemetery in La Molina.

The news quickly spread through CNN in Spanish and the front pages of newspaper websites in the Netherlands. The information generated hundreds of comments from readers. Also in the cable news agencies.

Yes, been following them most of the day.

For the most part those that were somehow still on the fence fell off and want Joran's head.

There are still a couple of people making excuses for Joran.  Then there's Renfro.  I haven't seen Billybob/Medleyrelay/Jan Brennan post yet.  She might be in shock.

Anita left a comment on Joran's Facebook page on Monday that referenced the Johnny Walker bottle in his profile pic. Somtething to the effect that "the bottle should be empty by now".  Jan Brennan had responded back "spoken just like a mother".  I noticed that Jan Brennan went back yesterday and deleted her comment, though Anita's still stands.

I saw that too.  Posted before they found out what happened.  Anita is likely in shock and that's why she hasn't deleted her comment as well.

Wonder if Anita, Valentijn and Sabastian are proud of Joran now?

Natalee Holloway suspect wanted in new death
Five years after Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba, one of the prime suspects in the case -- a young Dutch poker player -- is being accused of murdering a 21-year-old woman in Peru.

Five years to the day Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba, the prime suspect emerged at the center of a grisly murder in Lima, Peru.

Peruvian Criminal Police Chief Gen. César Guardia told reporters Wednesday that they've launched an international manhunt for Joran van der Sloot, 22, in the Sunday slaying of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel.

Van der Sloot was captured on video leaving a casino in the Miraflores district of Lima early Sunday with the young woman, Guardia said. Workers also saw him check into his hotel with Flores, Guardia added.

Van der Sloot checked out Sunday, four hours after he arrived with Flores, and fled overland to Chile on Monday, Guardia said.

According to the Peruvian newspaper El Comercio, Flores' body was found stabbed and wrapped in a blanket in a hotel room registered under van der Sloot's name.

Peruvian police have asked Chilean authorities to be on the lookout for van der Sloot. Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for him.

The killing occurred exactly five years after the disappearance in Aruba of Holloway. That case sparked an international search for the Alabama teen -- who is presumed dead -- and has been tabloid and television fodder ever since.

``I was surprised and shocked when I heard the news,'' Aruba's chief prosecutor, Peter Blanken told The Miami Herald.

Blanken, who is leading the Holloway investigation, said it was too soon to tell how the latest developments would affect the case.

`MORE PROOF'

The Peruvian case appears more solid, he said, because there is significant evidence.

``There is more proof,'' he said. ``There is a body, and in Aruba we never found a body.''

Flores' slaying on the fifth anniversary of Holloway's disappearance is ``a dreadful coincidence,'' said Ann Angela, a spokeswoman for the Aruban prosecutor's office.

Holloway was vacationing with several high school classmates in Aruba when she disappeared on May 30, 2005, after accepting a ride from van der Sloot when the bar they were in -- Carlos' n Charlie's -- closed for the night.

Initially, Aruba had closed the case against van der Sloot due to lack of evidence, Angela said.

It was reopened after a Dutch journalist secretly videotaped van der Sloot admitting that Holloway had died in front of him on an Aruban beach and that he had disposed of her body.

Angela said van der Sloot told several versions of what happened to Holloway the night she disappeared, including the latest in which he describes throwing her over a balcony.

Speaking to reporters in Lima, Stephany Flores' father said he was convinced van der Sloot was guilty.

``No other parents should have to feel the pain we are suffering,'' Ricardo Flores said. ``We must keep this man from killing again.''

A spokeswoman for Holloway's mother, Beth Twitty of Mountain Brook, Ala., said that the family was aware of the development in Peru but would have no comment.

Authorities in Aruba said van der Sloot had been there as recently as three or four weeks ago.

Van der Sloot, who had been studying in Holland, arrived back in Aruba after his father, Paulus, died in February, according to local reports.

POKER WORLD

Harold Faro, assistant editor of Bon Dia Aruba, confirmed that van der Sloot left Aruba last week, traveling to Colombia, Argentina and Peru, where the Latin American Poker Tour is hosting a tournament.

``He's a poker player,'' Faro said. ``He goes to a lot of poker tournaments, and in Peru they had a big poker tournament.''

Van der Sloot also met Holloway for the first time five years ago while playing poker at a hotel in Aruba.

Blanken, the prosecutor in Aruba, said he hopes Holloway's family will ultimately have some closure.

``It's the biggest case that has drawn more attention than any case in Aruba,'' he said. ``I would like to solve the case of Natalee Holloway so that her family knows what happened.''

Netherlands kills daughter (of) racer

He was only 21 years, was a university student and daughter of a businessman and former mayoral candidate known racer. In a poker game, a game that was one of his passions, he met a young Dutchman at a casino in Miraflores. They became friends, she accompanied him to the hotel where he was staying and murdered there hitting his face and head, to finally break his neck and rob the $ 5,000 that earned him an Uruguayan playing cards.


Tatiana Flores Stephany Ramirez died, according to the autopsy, cervical trauma, caused by blunt item. She was the daughter of Ricardo Flores Chipoco, champion of the Inca Trail in 1991.


She met the murderer, Joran Andreas Petrus identified as Van Der Sloot (23), the international poker tournament being held at the casino 'Atlantic City', in the Avenues and Benavides Pardo. On the evening of Saturday 29 May saw the couple playing cards in that local.

On the morning of Sunday, both retired and went to the hotel 'Tac' Avenue Republic of Panama 6160, where he was staying abroad.


At 5:20 am, Adeli Manchero Abad, hosting employee told police he saw the girl and the stranger enter the room 309.

At 8 am, the subject left the hotel and bought two cups of coffee at a local supermarket. He returned to the room at 8:40 and left with a rucksack and hand luggage. 'I'll be back', reportedly told an employee.


The murderer approached the Jeep, Cherokee, A1B-533 plate, black, Stephanie Flores and then left in the passage Jorge Chavez, Surco.



The crime was allegedly committed after a heated argument between the couple.

Dutch Poker Pro On The Run Over Suspected Second Murder

June 3rd, 2010 Author: A. MitchellYoung Dutch poker pro Joran van der Sloot would appear to be on the run in South America, after the body of 21 year-old Stephany Flores was discovered in a Peruvian hotel shortly after being spotted with Sloot.

The murder took place on May 30th 2010, and in a possible case of history repeating itself, Joran van der Sloot was the prime suspect in another young woman’s disappearance, Natalee Ann Holloway, exactly five years earlier to the day in 2005.

Holloway went missing on the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, and although no body was ever discovered, Sloot was arrested twice on suspicion of her murder. Police were unable to find sufficient evidence to charge him at the time and he was subsequently released.

Fast forward to 2010, and video evidence from a Lima casino early Sunday morning shows Joran van der Sloot with Stephany Flores just prior to her murder and, as Criminal police chief Gen. Cesar Guardia explains:

“We have an interview with a worker at the hotel who says she saw this foreigner with the victim enter his room.”

Apparently, the young poker pro had travelled from Aruba, Colombia, and onto Argentina, as he took part in the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT). Joran van der Sloot then arrived in Lima to join the LAPT Lima poker event, which was due to start on June 2, when the incident occurred.

“He’s a poker player,” said assistant editor of Bon Dia Aruba, Harold Faro. “He goes to a lot of poker tournaments, and in Peru they had a big poker tournament.”

Sloot, who plays online at Party Poker under the name AANOTILTKK, won around $13,000 at their $300K Guaranteed tournament, last year and is said to have been a successful enough player to maintain a lavish lifestyle.

The day after Stephany Flores’ body was discovered, Sloot apparently fled to Chile by land and now has an international arrest warrant out on him.
