OMG on JVM they just said a delegation from the Dutch Embassy just visited Joran in the jail in Chile.

Is that procedure for any Arubans who are detained in a foreign country on suspicion of murder.

Could it be that Joran is being warned to shut-up about all aspects of the corrupt Aruban Natalee Holloway investigation?

Joran Van der Sloot extorted Beth Holloway for info of the whereabouts of her daughter Natalee Holloway

(WIREUPDATE) — The mother of missing teen Alabama Natalee Holloway was extorted by the Dutchman who claimed to know the whereabouts of her body. Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren revealed that Beth Holloway was the victim of an extortion plot by Joran Van der Sloot.

On Thursday, the U.S. government charged Joran van der Sloot with attempting to receive money in exchange for revealing the location of Natalee Holloawy’s body. According to a complaint filed in U.S. District Court Van der Sloot received a partial payment of $15,000 from a financial institution in Birmingham Alabama last month. Van der Sloot wouldn’t reveal the location until a full payment of $250,000 was made.

Joran van der Sloot is the prime suspect of the May 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway. He is also a suspect for the murder of Stephany Rameriz in Peru, which allegedly happened 5 years to day of Holloway’s disappearance

has more hope this time than she has had in the past.  He said Beth is a strong woman
and she has endured so much, but they both feel better with Joran off the streets.
Jug said: Joran is messed up.

She could have but I believe the crime occurred wherever Joran made contact.  I think that is the place the charges would have been filed. 

I guess we will find out on one of the programs tonight.  Greta's especially.

I would think the crime occurred when the money was actually transferred?  The 15k that was forwarded.  That they have actually issued the arrest warrant, tells me the FBI was involved at the time that money was transferred, not after the fact.  Regardless of who it was, it makes sense to me that it would be the Birmingham FBI office that person would have turned to, and gotten on board for these charges to be possible.

I wonder who received the wire transfer in NL.

Attorney John Kelly has been seen 2 times in Aruba within the last month. I don't know if it had anything to do with the extortion case or not. Greta had reported info on her blog.

As you know doubt know, I have been making calls to Aruba to find out what people know about the latest Joran van der Sloot news.

I have learned - and this is rather curious - that Holloway family lawyer John Q. Kelly has been spotted twice in the last 30 days in Aruba.

His presence (twice in the last 30 days) in Aruba is notable and peculiar since the Aruban authorities have said they have shut down the Natalee investigation and yesterday made a statement that they have nothing to do with this latest Peru investigation for murder.

I still would like to know if the latest victim's winnings were present with her remains or if Joran stole those as well.  If so, there should be several charges related to that as well as for cold-blooded, premeditated murder.

What he did to Beth may well help in the determination of premeditation.
