Joran Van der Sloot extorted Beth Holloway for info of the whereabouts of her daughter Natalee Holloway

(WIREUPDATE) — The mother of missing teen Alabama Natalee Holloway was extorted by the Dutchman who claimed to know the whereabouts of her body. Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren revealed that Beth Holloway was the victim of an extortion plot by Joran Van der Sloot.

On Thursday, the U.S. government charged Joran van der Sloot with attempting to receive money in exchange for revealing the location of Natalee Holloawy’s body. According to a complaint filed in U.S. District Court Van der Sloot received a partial payment of $15,000 from a financial institution in Birmingham Alabama last month. Van der Sloot wouldn’t reveal the location until a full payment of $250,000 was made.

Joran van der Sloot is the prime suspect of the May 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway. He is also a suspect for the murder of Stephany Rameriz in Peru, which allegedly happened 5 years to day of Holloway’s disappearance

O/T  Remember how happy Natalee was in the backseat of the car talking about her first visit to the beach after moving to Alabama?  That's one of my favorite videos of her.

Well, now that very beach is in great peril.  As you pray for Natalee, Beth and family and Stephany and her family, please remember that beach and pray for a miracle for it.

Why would John Kelly go to Aruba in May? To try to enlist Aruba's help in charging Joran with extortion? I don't see why he would go there. It's way past the time of expecting Aruba to take an interest in Joran's criminal activities.

I noticed in this afternoon's press conference from B'ham, that the Federal prosecutor
made a point to say that Aruba had been very helpful with this.

Jug was on again on CBS/42.  He said that Beth is holding up well and that she
has more hope this time than she has had in the past.  He said Beth is a strong woman
and she has endured so much, but they both feel better with Joran off the streets.
Jug said: Joran is messed up.

Natalee Holloway too, then we Extradit him for extortion also, that should just about take up to,50-70 yrs of his life

Maybe Aruba authorities videoed him picking up the money.  I'll bet he used an alias and thought he could out-fox Beth and the FBI.

I still would like to know if the latest victim's winnings were present with her remains or if Joran stole those as well.  If so, there should be several charges related to that as well as for cold-blooded, premeditated murder.

What he did to Beth may well help in the determination of premeditation.
