I am really sad to read comments of peruvians, specially men that blame her to go with him to a Hotel.

Authorities said that Joran and Stephany left the casino and went to her car and sat in it for 37 minutes before the car left the parking lot.  Date-rape drug wrappers were found in her car.  IMO, Joran drugged her in the car and sat there...waiting on the drug to take effect.  She was taken away under influence of drugs...she didn't willingly go with Joran.

What does a Date-rape drug wrapper look like ???

Does anyone know if it would be possible to go to those rocks, chip off the paint and take samples of the blood (if it's there) and be able to get DNA from the blood?

On the undercurrent that Beth unwittingly enabled this murder to happen by financing Joran's trip to Peru, I have this to say:

Joran, of course, set all this in motion by murdering Natalee. That's a given and a fact that MANY in Aruban authority not only knew, but worked tirelessly to hide. They chose to protect, cover for, and release to freedom, a murderer. They knowingly made that choice. They disregarded the life of a young women so full of promise and they knowingly decided that her life was not worth the well being of a murderer. They did that directly, but it does not stop there. At the point when the decision was made to salvage Joran from his crime, they also made the decision that Stephany's life wasn't worth Joran's well being either. They are directly responsible for Stephany's death. If any doubt exists about that, I suggest they cue up the DeVries video and watch it again. Even at that late juncture they had a chance to rethink their decision. They had a second chance to do the right thing, and once again, they chose to let a known murderer go about freely.

Beth was presented an opportunity to protect the Stephany's of the world from her daughter's murderer, and she rose to the call. She chose to try to protect Stephany and Barbara and Susan and Debbie and all of the potential victims from a known murderer. Beth had the strength and conviction of truth and the wisdom of what is right and she waded into the mud and slime left by Aruban authorities, to try to prevent what happened.

Beth has no blood to wash from her being. Aruba is swimming in it.

Beth is not to blame. Beth is a hero.

On Nancy Grace one of the brothers of Stephany Flores said one brother went to identify Stephany Flores and he said she was unrecognizable. Also something about her eye

NG asked him if it was true she had an eye missing.  He said he didn't want to go into details like that but he didn 't say no.

Stephany was savagely beaten.  I noticed in the pictures today of Joran being taken into custody that his hand appear to be free of marks.  I remember that Joran likes to kick. I'm wondering how she got hit on the head so badly as one of the wounds were determined to be the mortal wound.  Either an object was used (fingerprints?) or she could have been kicked, worse yet...stomped.  Size 14...

UNRECOGNIZABLE: Beaten

Unmitigated rage directed against a young girl whom he just met -- a few hours previous.

Wild violence against a new acquaintance.  What did she do to him?  Not give him the $5K she won at the tables?  Why didn't he win $5K at the tables, too?

Burdened with rage -- he kills her; beats her to death.

To Spite the family of the girl he killed -- because they set him up in his sophomoric extortion scheme.

Money, pride, ego...

... and a calendared target date.

HOW do you think he beat her?  In today's pictures...no apparent marks on hands.  He could have used an object, but whatever, it took a lot of force for a head wound to be mortal.  I'm wondering if he "stomped" her.

It's silly to say that the FBI should have stopped him a few days ago. They had an extortion case. They might have had the foundation to predict more extortion efforts from him. They had no foundation to predict murder.

Aruba had every reason to predict more murders, and they had it a long time ago.

"Prison in Lima was hell on earth "

LIMA - Joran van der Sloot can wet his chest as he lands in prison in Lima. The jail cells are much like a medieval dungeon where criminals are crammed together.

"It's hell on earth for the Dutch. Could not be worse. Prisoners are running around with knives in the prison of thirty inches. Overcrowded, the heat, the sickening stench, "said Jasper Bloemendal (20) from Enter.
Bloemendal came two weeks ago returned from a visit to the notorious prisons of Lima, where many Dutch drug runners stuck. Previous experiences were so shocking that he decided the foundation Dutch prisoners in Peru to set up. "I can report that the prisons are now busier than a half ago."

The sentences in Peru are not sick. A few grams of drugs in the baggage is enough 8 to 25 years away to languish in the infamous Sarita Colinia or Lurigancho prison. And sentences in their own country, they can forget, because the Netherlands has no so-called WOTS treaty with Peru.
"What you see in there is indescribable. Could not be worse. In Callao are four thousand crammed into a bunker, built for eight hundred men. There was a guard at one hundred men. The detainees are in charge. There is murdered, raped, intimidated. The prisoners fear for their lives. Guards are corrupt and violent. There is no privacy. Prisoners try for two in a single thin mat on the dirty concrete floor at night to sleep a little, but the screams and cries of the inmates go to the bone. "
He continues: "Everywhere there are prisoners: the dining tables in the window, on every stair, between the waste bins and the rotting feces. The heat and stench were unbearable. The food is too disgusting to touch. Many have illnesses, wounds, diarrhea constantly. It's degrading what I saw. Dutch prisoners wept and begged for help. Visit never get them. Their families have let them fall. They are lonely. I gave them drop pounds. They pounced on top. "

As sad as it made me to watch the footage from the funeral for Stephany Flores today, at the very least her family was able to give her a proper burial.

Five years have passed, and Natalee still deserves one.  Her family deserves to finally know without a doubt where she is, and bring her home.

Someone knows.

I pray they'll tell.

Thanks Klaas  Good map.  I remember when Suriman was called Dutch Guyana.

He did leave mighty early for a tournament that didn't start until June 1st.

I think when he found out his extortion try was a sting, he hightailed it out of Aruba. 

I suspect that Joran van der Sloot fled the Netherlands because he was given a heads-up from Aruban authorities who were in the know regarding the extortion investigation.

The FBI do not seem to grasp that five years ago a cover up was established within the Natalee Holloway investigation ... a cover up to protect Joran and Paulus ... a coverup to prevent justice from prevailing for Natalee Holloway.

I believe he flew from Aruba to Colombia because it's one of the stops along the way.  Aruba to Colombia to Lima Peru.
