President Alan García: Netherlands must follow judicial process in Peru and then you can be extradited

Lima (Peru.com) .- President Alan García said that the alleged murderer of Stephany Flores, Joran Van Der Sloot, has to face the possible legal proceedings that will follow in Peru, and likewise a possible penalty that may issue against him.
 
"Then you can be extradited to the United States and purge other penalty there for another offense that is arguably an act of extortion against his first victim," he said.
 
He also thanked the president of Chile Sebastián Piñera and the police in that country the speed with which they proceeded to the arrest of the alleged murderer working with our country, and wished that we then all negotiations with the southern country is equal.
 
On the other hand, recommended that parents instruct their children and establish standards of discipline, because a fever can not go with a stranger and bring consequences as the girl occurred Stephany Flores, allegedly killed by Dutchman Joran Van Der Sloot.
 
"As a father myself, cause shock, but also a wake-up call to parents, to young ladies and young people and old age. These are the consequences to go with a stranger, "he said.
 
As recalled, Stephany Flores (21), daughter of race car driver and businessman Ricardo Flores, was found dead last Monday at the Tac hotel in the Miraflores district, according to the National Police, he stayed in that place with the citizen Joran Van Der Sloot Dutchman, so he is accused as the main responsible.

Joran van der Sloot has denied murdering Peruvian woman Stephany Flores according to the head of the Chilean investigation police, Fernando Ovalle. The 22-year-old, who is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005 in Aruba, has only admitted knowing the woman, reports Peruvian media.

Joran van der Sloot was seen with Ms Flores, the daughter of a well-known business man and racing driver Ricardo Flores, at a casino at the weekend, she was later found dead in a Lima hotel room. Van der Sloot was arrested in Chile on Thursday after a massive police operation.

On Friday morning, Joran gave a statement in Spanish, which police say he speaks fluently. He claims he can only remember going to the casino with Ms Flores and being arrested, says the police chief.

I don't think it has anything to do with false information it was the act of getting money for information that was against the law.
Extortion is a criminal offense which occurs when a person unlawfully obtains either money, property or services from a person(s), entity, or institution, through coercion. Refraining from doing harm is sometimes euphemistically called protection. Extortion is commonly practiced by organized crime groups. The actual obtainment of money or property is not required to commit the offense.

It was plainly stated in the FBI press conference that the information given was false.

I think that's what constituted the fraud portion of the charge.

Cell 25 years
If Joran in Peru convicted of murder, he can certainly get cell 25 years, said the president of the Peruvian Supreme Court. He spoke of 'a brutal murder''and believes that such crimes should be punished severely in order to protect human life.


In Chile, an employee of the Dutch embassy with Van der Sloot spoke, said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He will receive consular assistance, among other things means he will receive 30 euros a month in jail for minor expenses such as toiletries, possibly a loan, and that contact with family.


Sentences in Peru
Should it come to a conviction in Peru, then Van der Sloot his sentence yet to serve in that country. Netherlands and South American state for over one year to negotiate a treaty for the exchange of prisoners. Until an agreement is not reached. 117 Dutch in Peru are among the most wretched circumstances in prison.

Van Der Sloot was a new accusation on his pants. Justice in the United States allowed him indicted for extortion. He would have offered for $ 250,000 (about 200,000 euros) the location of the body of the missing American Natalee Holloway to disclose to her mother Beth.
