Maybe it's some type of art  therapy he is under-going?

Art - Haven't you been missing lately? At any rate, I don't recall seeing you in a long time; nice to run into you again!

Elaine - Really fortunate that you were right there with your Mom and were able to get on it ASAP. Good luck to both of you (take care of yourself too).

klaas - I just did a FP post under the Abramoff story. Could you copy it to here? Thank you.

(I did NOT QA the math test. Too much like real work.  Wink )

Msmarple post on front page of SM:

This is a letter-writing campaign that NEEDS to happen.

Write to your representatives and senators, and to Bachus. Demand an investigation into Abramoff’s connections to Odebur (and potentially Bachus). Be sure to mention that this was brought to your attention through an Aruba (not U.S.) publication.

Enclose or attach the Diario article and summary translation. Mention that the Aruba publication sensibly wants to know where the money came from and who told Odebur he could use it thusly.

Be sure to mention the $250,000 early on - money gets attention like nothing else. Also that Aruba is a big casino destination. (Remember that it was casinos-on-reservations issue that led to Abramoff’s downfall. White man spoke with crooked tongue big time!)

Write to the Birmingham newspapers. In fact, CALL RIGHT NOW if you’re in the area.

Get busy! DO something! If nothing else, should generate some negative publicity about Aruba. Could be a big story.

Is the family aware of this smear campaign against Spencer Bacchus?  Does it have their approval?  Is there one shred of evidence linking Bacchus to Abramoff?  If so, what is it?

What am I missing here?  That entry into the congressional record is three years old!  It was made by Burns of Montana and not Spencer Bacchus.  The date is:  [Congressional Record: December 7, 2004]

Has there been an entry into the record since the one posted by VMS that was made by Bacchus or is the one from 2004 the only one?  Please direct me to it as I can only find the one posted.  That was before Natalee was missing wasn't it?  So what is the connection to Bacchus?

A couple posts from June 13 2005 on the FP.  I have no idea who "kip" is.  Didn't someone mention something about blood in the trunk??

#57

Good Morning you all,
Great board wonderful and thoughful folks and very interesting comments.
Here is some information that you can relie on as truth! What is heard in the LEO circles on need to know bases is this: 1. The blood found in the vehicle was in the trunk of the vehicle not the back seat.It was of heavy volume. The blood in the back seat was minute trace blood, like a small droplet.DNA samples take up to a week or better for a match depending onwhat test are ordered. The FBI most likely had the samples sent to Quantico,Va.to be tested.2. The vehicle did not go to the light house and return to the “Holiday Inn” as reported. The 3 subjects rode around the island of Aruba and then supposedly returned to the “Holiday Inn”.However this is still a ongoing theory givin by the 3 subjects.Mileage in the car suggested different than what would have been had the subjects just gone to the lighthouse.4.The uniform the guards that where at the “Holiday Inn” was the type worn by guards inviolved in concerts and outdoor type of affairs, not the typical uniforms worn by hotel and casino guards. They where black and had white flurescent lettering across the back. This is part of a profile some local LEO officers in Florida are putting together from real excellent scources in Aruba. The two Dutch officers that came to Aruba this AM are polygraph operators. The aruba police department are of honesty and integrity. Not corrupted nor political. However they are restricted somewhat, but not ashamed to as for outside help.Ms.Holloways family asked help from a state senator. The senator sent the FBI agents to Aruba.Aruba and the USA are close working
in many types of investigations beside this particular ongoing investigation.

Some more legalities that should be taken into account is that this guy,the young one that is supposedly had been in the back seat with Miss Holoway
is a juvenile, and he cannot be questioned without the presense of his parents one or both.Non the less one of them must be present when detectives wish to question him.He has had almost a week to get his or his parents story down pat as to what to say and what not to say.The good lord knows poppa has alot to loose.Hence you can bet that poppa made sure that his son knows his rights.Up here we watched his mums interview several times and she certainly knows a whole lot more than she admits to.But she is also his mum and she is very snappy when answering questions. Also her interviews useing words like “my son gave a naive statement” etc.You can bet he told his mum and poppa has programmed this kid to say exactly what they told him to when they are not present. Also we belive this is a drug related case.It is known the two security guards where being questioned about thefts in the HI from this particular groups visit to Aruba.Hence this gives the police enough probable cause to hold them indefinately. Also they are known to be drug dealers. The three
young suspects also have drug related backgrounds along with their prsent onging problems.
This also leads us to belive all five of them probably know each other. If these people think they cannot be convicted because there isn’t a body presently they better find better lawyers than they already have.

Mere - there are some people's posts that go to the spam folder even thought they aren't spam.  Tom had made a change to that folder this morning and because of that I couldn't see those posts to take them out.  Tom has fixed it now.

Your posts, San's, Jerry's and several others for whatever reason go to the spam folder but I take them out.

O/T  Hi Monkeys! As most of you have heard me say, My Mom broke her hip in December. Last week she graduated from her walker to a cane. I take her to therapy 3 x a week, and yest. I went to her house to get her. One minute she seemed fine. Next thing, she doubled up in agony...saying she had gas pain and couldn't expel it. This went on for 1/2 hour, until I insisted on calling an ambulance. At the hospital from 12.30 yesterday till 10:30 last night in the ER. They admitted her. Good thing they did! She has a bladder infection, a perforated bowel, and impaction with sepsis. Had surgery from 9:00 am this morning till 11:30. She is stable, thank God! Any monkey prayers for her are appreciated!
It was November she broke her hip, oh my nerves!!

Elaine, I am so sorry to hear about your Mum after all her other health troubles and now this!  Thank God you were with her at the time as she certainly needed immediate hospital care.  Hugs and prayers for you both.
