BB, I had seen the verse before and just thought that Shango was being cute with a play on words. Now if Abrahamoff owned a chopper named "Magic Transport", THAT would be interesting to say the least.

I caught the "XTC" tail number "coincidence" right off the bat.

I'm heading out for the night too, y'all. Sounds like we have suffered a big loss this day. Of course, this is infinitely more tough on his family.

We have to hope that others will take up the battle on Skeeters' behalf. I don't doubt they will.

SB - just to clarify.  Not Abramoff.  It's Russian Abramovich that owns the helicopter.

Looks like a 66 year old woman has drowned....not able to read enough to know if it is anymore than a drowning though.

Ms Darth Vada - I'm glad I live here in the (comparatively) warm south. We thought our low of 25 last night was cold.  Laughing

Klaas - I wonder if we could have sticky in the lounge for expressing condolences re: Jamie Skeeters. After everyone has had a change to leave a note there, perhaps it could be forwarded to his widow. Just a thought.

01/26/2006 - Diario reports the death of Maria Petrochti, 66. She was found in the water in a rocky area, Alto Vista, north coast. Apparently the body was difficult to access and retrieve. A taxi is mentioned.

Sandy Leiva - If you pop in - see if you can get anything more from this. I hope a 66-yr-old woman has not met with foul play.

Nice picture Carpe.I hope that I didn't offend anyone with my rant about anita, but I really don't care.I also don't like Russkies, either.I feel that the 2 statements by dk are very importent,"we all sex with her,it was easy....,and if I knew where she was I would have told"I think this answers some questions, and leaves others open.I can not wait for The Trial of these demons and their friends.Ruining human lives is not a sport.CAT

Goodmoring all!

This gal that was found drowned in Aruba I believe is the one that they were searching for a couple days ago.  It was reported at FOB.

MF posted 1/24/2007:

Police helicopter, the Red Cross, volunteers and others, are scouring the area behind Alto Vista. Since two days ago (48 hours) there has been an elderly woman missing. She left home and information is that she went to the chapel. Not much detail around this search right now.

Family and ALE has been searching for this person the last 2 days, and today this massive search is going on.

MF posted followup 1/24/2007:

Regrettably, the body of the elderly lady has been found by the ALE as of 50 minutes ago.

A taxi driver informed the ALE that he was asked by the lady to bring her to the church.

Also, Diario had a photo of the missing woman in their 1/24/2007 publication.

so being 66 years old is elderly?  I'd consider that being a senior, but  not elderly!

Heck,  my 97 year old grandma is still living and I consider her elderly as she now is in a nursing home because she can't care for herself.
