Ok , maybe this is crazy thinking. We know LVR is sort of reclusive. Supposedly has armed guards and barbed wire. The rumor has it that his father committed suicide and he went sort of loco after that.

What if it were the same kind of supposed suicides that we have followed on Aruba? Maybe all the security is for himself to be protected from ALE. Just a thought.

Protection from the ALE?  You have to be kidding?  What need would that be if they cooperate so easily? No threat there. They get invited to the parties.

I hear you. His huse does have barbed wire around it....I have seen that. I do wonder about that suicide after hearing about the man who died in the storage container , and the others. I think LVR has the barbed wire for his own protection. I don't know if he has the ability to "make people disappear" .........I don't think he has that kind of money, but some of his friends do.

where on Aruba would there be a straight path?  Most of the roads seem to wind about especially those out of the main tourist area.

where on Aruba would there be a straight path?  Most of the roads seem to wind about especially those out of the main tourist area.

The reference could be to the Sloots. What always puzzled me was in the first days of natalee going missing, we heard that LVR was questioned. The alibli, which was "airtight" was that he was at a party and that his friend Maxito Ahrenz (the race car driver) was the alibi. What kinda alibi is that?

Where did we hear that LVR was questioned?  A reliable source?  How do we know it was true?  If Max provided the alibi, how do we know it was legitimate?  Have we ever seen these statements?  Where did we hear about the parties at his house?  Just asking...again.

Florida , I am not so sure of MP's direct involvement . I think other than owner of the casino, and general knowledge of the illegal activities both by the PIMPS and JVDS imparticular, ie underage gambling drinking and IMO heavy duty /paid money laundering, I don't at this time think he was involved
or had anything to do with Natalee's disappearance.

I think his general Mafia including russian Mafia connection, along with crime history and questions like-how did posner get a liscense for a casino when he is a convicted felon? ....made him really really nervous. Then there is the involvement of one of his coupiers- Guido.

I agree....But, like minds stick together.  Was Posner starting his own "Aruba Mafia"? I don't believe Posner is directly involved...Bitm I do believe "they" all know what happened...i.e. mass exit.

IIRC the Excelsior is in Walter poner's name & the Brickell is shared with Micheal & Walter.

Why is it that there is a sign in the Excelsior which reads we hire locals?

The thing that tips my thinking toward LVR is that phrasing, as someone said earlier, "the house of Rave" is capitalized and implies prior knowledge of and/or a reputation IMO. Would Sloots be a party house?

I am not positive where I heard all that now. I do not know if it were here or at RWV. I believe it was here.

In my memory also on the max friend he was originally identified as Max Arends. Then later we found he was the race car driver.

Maybe that is how they got around the legal aspect of his being a person with a criminal past? I don't really know. Apparently the Chicago mafia sent him to Aruba as a"reward"  when he got out of jail, at least this is what I have read.......

That is almost like a joke that sign. It implies complying with the law. While we know that is not what happens there. The law in Aruba (as I am sure you are aware florida) is that locals should be hired for all jobs. If in the event there is no one from Aruba qualified to perform a certain job, then possibly someone(with sponsorship) from outside of the country can apply.
So basically, locals do the money laundering....

The Excelsior is a "closet"
The dealers have absolutely no personality, seem quite bored, unhappy.
They all appeared to be "local"

Just wondering why other jobs in Aruba are given to "outsiders"?
Political, media, etc.

I know we have heard it said that what went on earlier in the week has no bearing plus Natalee did not ? date anyone while there. I do think it would be nice to know if all we heard is true. I guess I do not think secrets are always for the best.

I think both Max's were questioned. The older Max=Maxito was Lorenzo's alibi as i recall. He was the airtight alibi.
They also questioned max Arends (Ibi Arends, jorans age)
Do I have this wrong?
