I love the part in the Enquirer article saying that Richard Grund's seduction into the occult began with him watching Car The Friendly Ghost (Friendliest ghost I know). This is so insane it's laughable. Poor Casper, now even he's being thrown under the bus. Is nothing sacred with the Anthony's? I'd LOVE to see the duhfense go there.

Hi Curly, I read it to my husband and he started laughing so hard he got the hiccups!!
I can't blame him

Well blow me down ... Popeye. I can't even believe it .. Now Casper the Ghost has been tainted by the Anthony's. That is pretty lame. What would they say about " Spider Man" ? Or Sponge Bob? Caylee's favorites. That they had something to do with her death too ?  When I was a kid I loved Mighty Mouse ..still I do. He is no longer on the air. Wonder what The Ant's  would say about him ... since Toon characters are deemed reflections of one's person.
That, Mighty Mouse was a Commie? Omg ..I have to laugh.  So disturbing. Richard Grund is not a hateful man .. he wants Caylee's Justice just as much if not more ~ than us Monkeys.
I shake my head. The Stockholm syndrome comment. Maybe they should ask Jaycee about that ... ?? Casey is the victim of her self .. primarily. I say.

I so agree, instead of sleeping around she should have gotten an education, then a job so she could support herself in her own home.   Even considering that she may have had a rough go of it with parents like hers...once a victim, always a victim far from has to be the case for an adult child.

Cappy who was it within the last latest video's that said Casey was a victim? Did I see it on JVM? I cannot think?  that she was a victim due to her upbringing .. Or am I thinking of Lyon. I don't know I cannot recall. " Too much angry overflow of idiots speaking" I attribute my mind not recalling ..who said it. I just have to laugh out loud.
GAWD I can compare my own childhood, or friends of Mine "childhood" and WE never had it so Grand as CASEY .. her being a victim of George or Cin Cin ... That Girl ruled that house.
If I tried a fraction of a hair of what she got away with " Casey" prior to Caylee I am speaking... I would not be typing here today. I would have been knocked into next week and never woke up.  My parents never hit me - they didn't have to. A stare " that only they could offer" from them was enough to make you crawl under a rock and never want to come out. Or if they called you by First Middle and Last Name .. You knew You were Toast.

Maybe that woman who testified her garbage or Lyon during her direct examination, not sure.    You made me chuckle about the first, middle and last name & "the look."   Been there, done that.   I have always felt that if Casey resented her family for whatever reason & was feeling the need to act on her rage she would have turned that onto her parents aside from the jealousy/spite factor.   If they go with the "abuse excuse," it will be asked why she killed Caylee instead of who she was really angry with.   It will be asked why she didnt do anything to find another job after being fired in 2006 so that she could provided her own home for herself & Caylee if life was so miserable at her parents.   Once Casey reached adulthood, she chose to be a victim in her own mind, she chose to be dependent on her parents, she chose to be so reckless with her life at a young age that she brought a child into this world she had no intention of taking full responsibility for or unconditionally loving.  I dont buy that her mother forced her to have a baby, what are we going to hear next that she had a gun held to her head?   For that matter, why would Casey want Caylee around people she claims abused her or were a bad influence?   I just wish that Casey would have done one decent thing in her life following thru on a considered adoption whether her mother liked it or not so many decent people would have given Caylee the life she so deserved   ::MonkeyAngel:

I made the mistake of watching "The Lovely Bones" last night, I just could not get Caylee out of my mind amongst other innocents taken from us by evil's hand...it horrifies me that victims might linger at a place considered the "in between" waiting for them to be found and/or resolution before they enter heaven's gate.   It made me contemplate further that the way victims were treated after their murder is just as heinous as the murder itself & even though I'm no stranger to horrific acts of violence, this will linger with me for a good while  an angelic monkey

I haven't watched "Lovely Bones" yet, and maybe I'll wait a bit longer after reading your comments.....

Sounds like this will be one of the DVD movies that will be XXXXXX'd off the list for the sequestered jurors.

Deadline Looms In Casey Anthony Case
Defense Team Must Give Judge Deposition Schedule

POSTED: Monday, May 17, 2010
UPDATED: 6:52 am EDT May 17, 2010
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The defense team representing Casey Anthony, who is charged with murder the in the death of her daughter, Caylee, must meet a crucial deadline.
By Monday afternoon, Anthony's attorneys must provide to the judge in her murder case a detailed schedule on when they will depose the prosecution's witnesses.

Anthony's defense team is expected to question more than 50 people under oath, in addition to the 36 people that have already been deposed.

Chief Judge Belvin Perry set the deadline in an attempt to speed up the case. Perry said previously that he would not hesitate to find witnesses in contempt of court if they do not cooperate.

Anthony, 24, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter, whose remains were found in a wooded area in December 2008.

Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty. Her trial is scheduled to begin in May 2011.

Haligh Cummings & Caylee Anthony - Radio Wrap For May/16
Posted on May 16th, 2010
by Simon Barrett and read 2,340 times.
Our panel this week was a little depleted, Denny Griffin is on his way to his summer location in New York state, and TJ Hart had a family emergency that precluded him from taking part. TJ, everyone sends their best, and hope that things turn out OK.

It has been a very busy week in both cases. Casey Anthony had two hearings earlier this week about motions filed on her behalf by her defense council Jose Baez. I think it is fair to say that by the end of play on Tuesday Baez, Lyon and the rest of the gang had likely stripped the local Walgreens of every bottle of Tums on the shelf.

Judge Perry seems intent on keeping the defense team on a very short leash.

As our guest, Peter Hyatt pointed out, the video feeds revealed a laughing joking team until Judge Perry entered the court room. The smirks and joviality ceased pretty darn fast.
It was also interesting that in the Tuesday hearing there was no sign of patriarch George Anthony, one caller asked if we thought his non appearance might be due to the sexual abuse allegations, was he too embarrassed to show his face?

Peter Hyatt had some interesting comments to make about the Anthony family. He has spent considerable time researching them and I doubt that he would say anything that could not be backed up. If you listen to the recording you will hear what he had to say.

Over on the Haleigh Cummings case there seems to be a scramble to see who can the best ‘deal of the week’. Ronald Cummings seems to be currently in the lead, he apparently has negotiated his way from 85 years behind bars to a more manageable 15 years.

The subject of that interesting jail tape between Tommy Croslin and Grammy Hollars also got some air time. The tape has bothered me from the moment I first heard it. I am suspicious by nature, and the timing of its release was way too convenient for my liking. The press has glommed onto the tape as Tommy fingering the infamous cousin Joe for the death of Haleigh. As Jan pointed out, that is not the case. It is Grammy Hollars that draws the conclusion. Tommy then starts to say something, but changes his mind. Listen carefully to the tape.

There were lots of subjects discussed on the program, if you missed the live broadcast you can catch the recording here.   http://www.blogtalkradio.com/simon-barrett/2010/05/16/caylee-anthony-haleigh-cummings

CASEY ANTHONY FACES DEATH
05/12/10
Accused murder mom CASEY ANTHONY will face the death penalty, the presiding judge ruled

In Orlando, Florida yesterday Chief Judge Belvin Perry ruled against Anthony, who is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, at a pre-trial hearing

Anthony's attorneys argued before the judge that prosecutors had gender bias in seeking the death penalty and had produced an expert witness.

The witness said that a mother who is perceived "deviant" by a jury faces a difficult time in defending herself against criminal charges.

AND in another defense motion, "Societal biases against women provide the state with a way of deflecting attention away from the insufficiency of the evidence in Miss Anthony's case."

But the judge wasn't buying what the defense was selling - ruling that if Anthony is found guilty in the murder of Caylee she will face the severest penalty of all - death.

Deviant behavior is considered to be what would be against the norm from basically three perspectives, psychological, biological & sociological.    Murder is a form of extreme deviance which violates the cultural norm that finds it unacceptable to kill another human being.

Crystal, Brandon & Laura's testimony cannot be that factually correct if they are avoiding deposition, it appears as if they are afraid of perjuring themselves.  The defense cannot be too confident that their testimony rises to the level of being as exculpatory as they would want the potential jury pool to believe or they would have shouting from the rooftops & letting the State take their depositions enthusiastically.

Thanks, you bet there is

After listening (again) to that idiot Cindy talking about how "in her heart she knows Caylee is alive" and her "instinct" tells her she will be found and found alive, I hope she never uses those terms again. She has to realize that her gut instincts and what her heart tells her, are absolutely unreliable. AND, she keeps saying that the media needs to focus on Caylee and not talk about KC, yet CA kept talking about herself, how tired she was, her feelings, "yada, me, yada, I..." She is an incredibly rotten piece of work!

I may be crazy, but wouldn't anyone who kills another be considered deviant?

You are most certainly NOT crazy!
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-deviant-behavior.htm

Deviant behavior is behavior which does not adhere to widely-accepted social or cultural norms. For example, murder is a form of extreme deviant behavior which violates the cultural norm which states that it is unacceptable to kill another human being. There are a number of approaches to the study of deviance, along with explanations for why deviant behavior occurs, and how it might be addressed. Numerous colleges and universities offer coursework in this subject, and there are professional publications dedicated to this topic, including the creatively named “Deviant Behavior.”

The first step in understanding deviant behavior is the study of cultural and social norms. Norms vary widely across cultures, and in some cases, behavior which is polite or expected in one culture may be considered rude or inappropriate in another. The study of norms includes the history of such norms, the evolutions of norms over time, and the study of changes which occur in norms as society itself shifts. For example, wearing gloves in public was once a social norm for ladies in much of the Western world, but would now be considered slightly eccentric unless the weather was cold.

Deviance can be viewed from psychological, biological, and sociological perspectives. From the perspective of sociology, issues such as class can play a role in deviant behavior. Theft, a common instance of deviant behavior, could be said to be driven by sociological pressures such as poverty. Biologists may be interested in variations in the brain which lead to expressions of deviance, along with the biological motivations for normal behavior. Psychologists are interested in the thought processes behind normal and deviant behavior, ranging from depression, which may cause people to act out, to the study of early childhood development, which explains how people learn about behavioral boundaries.

Theories about deviant behavior posit a range of possible explanations. Many reflect an interdisciplinary approach, acknowledging that many factors can come together to influence behavior. Theories have also changed over the years, and have influenced the approach to issues like law enforcement, criminal justice, and treatment of the mentally ill. Forcing the unemployed into workhouses to motivate them into conforming with the norm which expects people to work, for example, is not a practice used today, although it was popularly embraced in the 19th century.

Understanding deviant behavior and the motivations behind it can be valuable for people in a wide range of settings. Doctors, for example, may like to know why some patients do not comply with medication regimens, while teachers may want to know about the roots of bullying and how to address students who act out in class.
