Someone her recently mentioned Diane Downs and it reminded me that like Diane Downs diary, Casey's jailhouse notes were totally intended to be read, despite her writing "Flush! Flush!" I had that opinion before I even read them, when I heard that Baez and co. weren't blocking their release. If they weren't filing a motion (and we all know how the love filing motions for the most ludicrous things) to block them from coming out, that means to me that they WANTED the letters released.

And then there were the letters themselves. These reinforced the impression that Casey meant these letters for public consumption. All the religious references, the "caring" comments, the complaints about family members, the allegations of abuse--these all stunk of one of a sociopath's trademarks--Laying The Groundwork.

And what about all her references to a crush on one of the "boys", the other Jose? IMO, since nothing she's putting out there is ever going to be as it seems, this was just a deliberate smoke screen. And we all know that where there's smoke, there's most likely fire. So the deception would be, luring us away from thinking that her only relationship with Baez is that he's like a father figure. Then next comes the thought that why would someone like Casey bother trying to protect Baez? She wouldn't. So that leads me to the inescapable conclusion that Mr. Baez was orchestrating this whole letter writing campaign.

I think Robyn Adams may have been in it from the beginning. The payoff being legal representation through Jose's pals (remember KC brought it up), and being told that she could even get time off for "Being Helpful" to the prosecution by bringing up the letters. As for the other girl, I don't recall seeing anything written by KC to her, so I think that girl was just making stuff up based on what she'd seen on tv in jail. JMO.

I have thought the same Scatty.......this was Casey manipulating......laying the groundwork as you say.
Baez had to know Casey was communicating with Robyn Adams. How else would he know Robyn wanted representation. Baez didn't blink an eye when he found out the letters would be released. He didn't even seem surprised. I don't anything past snake Baez. Casey's letters were her only way to get all her bullsh!t out to potential jurors.........like her "come to Jesus" moments......pfffffft. I wouldn't be surprised if her Bible burned into ashes when she touched it. Anyone can copy passages from it......means nothing!
The duhfense idiots have to have something to back up whatever mitigating factors they plan on shoving down the jurors throats. The letters and whatever Casey-garbage Jeanene Barrett barfs out are a plan in progress or under construction IMO.....because it will be constructed......more Casey phantom-land.

Scatty, this never crossed my mind, but I think you have a very good argument.

WESH-Channel 2’s report on transcript costs in the Casey Anthony case drew a withering review — from Anthony attorney Jose Baez.

On the 4 p.m. news, WESH anchor Martha Sugalski read Baez’s critique: “Your story really showed your bias. There are thousands of transcripts ordered every day across the state and to do a story on it is pretty transparent.”

Sugalski added that the station’s report focused on the Anthony team’s first request for services at taxpayer expense and that transcripts can cost hundreds of dollars apiece. 

The WESH story was another indication of how closely stations will cover the Anthony case. She is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

2)  Is the paternity relevant to this murder case?

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that based on the list of Baez clients before KC, of which the vast majority had Hispanic last names, I think it may have been Silvia Hernandez, the guard under investigation for passing letters from KC, who could have dropped a word in KC's ear about Baez when she was first arrested.

Re: pictures of Caylee, 2 or 3 months ago a friend of Cindy's got into a fight with her hubby
and LE was called. Apparently it was about some pictures the wife was holding for a friend.
I think these were pictures of Caylee that she was holding for Cindy. I can't remember her

I think that much of the writings to Robyn were totally intended to be seen & you dont write FLUSH FLUSH to someone who already "knows" to do so as its a given.  Casey has   always been extremely manipulative & she knows her @$$ is on the line, for reals.   There are a few clues within the writings, it is by design that she appears to care, portrays herself as a "good mother" (that defense already failed in part), speaks of religion with a twisted concept & last but not least how she was allegedly victimized not without making sure to throw her idiot parents under the bus in the process.  Look, its her nature & then she retained Bozo who entertained her for a few months every day behind his office closed doors, they had plenty of time to discuss how they were going to defend her.   I dont think he would even blink an eye if she flat out told him she killed Caylee, he doesnt care.  Bozo is just as calculated, amoral & nasty with many indications that he harbors resentment as well as making it known he defines antiestablishmentism.

I think the other girl is credible based on her history & specific things she said.   Her body language did not exhibit deception, given her surroundings she was remarkably even keeled & she has nothing to gain by inserting herself in this case nor does she want it.

There's not a legal reason why Cindy and George could sell pictures...is there?

I don't have a clue, just seems weird that all of a sudden these new pics have appeared. 

Those pictures are disturbing to me. Except in the ones she looks posed, she has a very "haunting" look in her eyes. The one with her great grandfather has always looked to me like she knew what was to come and there was such fear in her eyes. Her eyes were very expressive and showed what she seemed to be thinking.

I had seen some of them, but I am betting that those were SOLD to CBS not to be released until after the indigency hearing. I can't wait for BOZO to lose his law license over what appears to be very underhanded dealings.  I would not put it past the Anthony's to have sold them either but the court needs to DEMAND to know who was paid for them.

I think the lists are just fine.  Long, but fine.     If the type were smaller I'm afraid I'd have to get out my extra strong gazers I keep on hand for fine work.  But thanks for your consideration, Sunny.

turbo, I agree.....I didn't check other counties but the types of clients I saw certainly wouldn't make me want to hire him if I were being charged with murder.  I remember Hornsby saying that clients were coming to him after speaking with BOZO...it seems BOZO thinks he is in the big leagues now and his rates have soared. But his client list isn't!  LOL

I still wonder:

1)  How/why/when did Casey select Baez?

2)  Is the paternity relevant to this murder case?

3)  Why did Cindy & George go to such outlandish extremes to always be in "attack mode" ?  What are they hiding????  All my opinion, naturally.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that based on the list of Baez clients before KC, of which the vast majority had Hispanic last names, I think it may have been Silvia Hernandez, the guard under investigation for passing letters from KC, who could have dropped a word in KC's ear about Baez when she was first arrested.

Quite possibly--never thought of her.

Thanks for the link---imo, there is something sort of self-promoting about WESH mentioning this complaint of his, as all along it's been WFTV which has been the "go to" station with this case, really focusing in on everything.   Maybe WESH wants some attention now. lol

All you have to do is watch pressers after hearings to see Kathi Belich beat the competition & put this defense team as well as the Anthonys to the test, my opinion is the other networks are competing to top Kathi's WFTV coverage.   Hornsby attacking Kathi & Bill & an occasional look from other reports give rise to that contemplation.

Bozo is more moronic than I can describe in words, of course thousands of transcripts are ordered in a given State.   The difference here is the taxpayers are now paying for it.   Depending on whether a transcript is being taken by a court stenographer (computerized now-usually used in criminal courts) or 4-way audio recording device, you are paying for not only copies but the services of the stenographer/transcriptionist as well as the production of copies.   If that transcript is expedited the fee is double (overnight production), trust me that is brutal when it may run into a few hundred pages if its a day's worth of proceedings.   I worked in two law firms in my early adult years, but before I worked for a forensic psychiatrist I transcribed from dictation or the 4-way audio recording for many years so that I had work that would be flexible hours while raising my two children when they were young, it afforded me to be a at-home but exhausted newly single mom often burning the midnight oil & beyond.  At the time I earned $1.10 PER PAGE (25 lines) and double for expedited, typed 110 words per minute so it added up quite nicely.   I will never forget one overnight for a criminal case out of Essex County NJ, struggling to find a parking space to get a daily transcript to the judge's chambers by 9AM sharp.   I was 5 minutes late & the judge threatened to find me contempt of court, I kid you not!   I must have looked like I was ready to drop dead but after I told him that the court house's accommodations for parking were not my issue & if he wanted transcripts on time he should consider sending someone down to pick it up at the door, he realized he was not about to intimidate me.  The end result was a smirk & a thank you for the transcript, my response was "Have a nice day," leaving to find the nearest Dunkin Donuts for yet another cup of coffee.  Later that day,  I got a call  to ask if I could produce yet another daily, I said "I will give a call to chambers when I'm five minutes away from arriving & guess what, there was someone waiting for me at the court house entrance
