Approx page 44 of the new discovery released is mention of soil residue being found in the trunk - is it a match to Suburban Drive?

Looks to me that this defense team cannot defend Casey so they are going to attack chain of custody, contamination of evidence with a thrown in "someone other dude (any dude will do)" defense, not to mention an ongoing accusation of prosecutorial misconduct in an act of desperation.

Yes, I agree, it's going to be a very nasty fight against LE, prosecution, labs, professionals.

No doubt about it, there will be a big fight, and Linda Kenney Baden will be leading that fight, I believe that is her expertise.

State Sent Casey Jail Letters To FBI
Casey Anthony Charged With Murder In Death Of Daughter
POSTED: Friday, May 21, 2010
UPDATED: 12:07 pm EDT May 21, 2010
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Authorities on Friday released nearly 600 pages of information in the Casey Anthony murder case.
The documents show that the state sent the handwritten letters from Anthony to another inmate in the Orange County Jail to the FBI to be analyzed.

Every page and envelopes is included in the lab's inventory sheets. They are being compared to known samples of Anthony's handwriting, like a letter she wrote to Sheriff Kevin Beary a few months after her arrest.

The state also handed over information about the forensic experts who are conducting the tests, including how many times they have testified in court, in which cases and the outcome of those cases.

The documents were made public after the state shared the information with Anthony's defense team as part of the discovery process.

Anthony, 24, is jailed on first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were found in a wooded area in Orange County in December 2008.

Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty and has claimed that Caylee was taken by a baby sitter.

Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
So, to wrap up (heck, I just got home and have only read two pages!):

As usual, Bobo is having the State do his work for him. Bobo will not do anything to actually DEFEND his client, he will have the State pay him and the-beast-who-shall-remain-nameless big bucks to DEFLECT the State's evidence.  He's worthless.

Some days, I really hate discovery rules. Today is one of those days.

When this first started, remember Cindy called all Casey's friends to come over for a meeting.
Well Jessie and Annie, were there I think and Jessie mentioned calling someone that could help Casey. I got the impression that he ran a big hotel or owned it. Anyway, Jessie did phone
and whoever was out of town, but I think it was Jessie that got ahold of him and said he
would help. Mind you the A's tried to throw Jessie under the bus since then. But could this
big wig be Caylee's daddy. I've often wondered if Casey was into porn and also involved
Caylee into it. Ugly I know. But Casey was an ugly person. I don't have a link, but it was
brought up at that meeting.

Turbo, I have believed there is way more going on here then what we have seen so far, I would bet on it, imo.

All I can say is you just can not make up this kinda stuff...

I think we all will be in  ::MonkeyShocked::when trial time comes.
When something new happens, I say to my husband that I'm shocked, and he keeps saying why would anything shock you anymore in this case? I don't even know, but something tells me there will be more shocking moments.

Have we ever heard anything about whether KC ever said anything to Cindy about George?

It's bothered me every since I recently read that Cindy was asked about whether there was incest and she quietly said: no.

WHY didn't Cindy furiously refute that?

I would too.  Might explain why CA and GA walk on egg shells and treat the monster like she is royalty.    They don't want her to spill.
That is the only thing that makes sense to me

That falls right in line with "Don't worry, I didn't say anything".  (The other comment that's bothered me).

Thanks for all the updates, hope the document dump is a good one    I was thinking last night about if George was Caylee's father, imo, if he was, the State would obviously know this, and no way do I think the DP would be on the table. Most people, including myself, would not go along with the DP if that were the case. I morally couldn't be on a jury and do such a thing, but that is me.

No rose...I think you have a good point...now that you say it, I believe, too, that if the State knew George was Caylee's dad they wouldn't go for the DP.

At first blush, I agreed with both of you. But then I said "Wait, is the State giving discounts on murder now? In a subtle way, the State would have to say "Well, ya, she killed her child, but because of incest, we won't make her pay the same price as we would any other first degree killer? she had a rough life, so let's give her a break?"

Sorry, that just doesn't fly with me, no disrespect at all intended towards you ladies...nothing personal. If all the elements of a first degree murder, with special circumstances apply, I think KC should ride ol' Sparky. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR KILLING YOUR OWN CHILD. There are millions of people who had horrid childhoods walking around out there, millions of them parents who do not kill their own kids...or anyone else's for that matter.

Again, ladies, this is just my opinion, and I truly hope you don't take it personally!

No taking anything personal, just that I believe if there is incest involved and George is the father, just hard for me to imagine her getting the DP. I personally couldn't do it, if I were on the jury.

Remember when she said to CA at the jail " I haven't told them anything" or something like that?  I thought that was a good indicator that she was letting them know she COULD tell on them for whatever they are hiding.
Yep Turbo - it was a "gentle" reminder not to mess with her.

Good afternoon all, catching up and Have to comment.  I don't have any opinion regarding incest....That being said,  our daughter was single, 20 and pregnant.  The Daddy passed away a month before grandbaby was born, and our daughter had a high risk pregnancy, and was injecting herself with blood thinner meds throughout.  Her dad and I were in the labor room for the delivery.  Our daughter could have cared less if her dad would have been "under the sheet" while our grandbaby was born (he was not).  She was focussed on pushing and he stood by her side, handholding and encourageing her like a spouse would do.  The dr asked him to cut the cord, and he gladly did.  It was impulsive, not planned.  I know it sounds weird to alot of you, but you just had to be there...nothing corrupt about it.  We were blessed to share in the birth experience, period.

IMO it would just not make sense, I really don't think there would be a chance the jury would come back with the DP if George was the father. Not a popular opinion, but I don't think the jury will come back with the DP anyway. And since I'm as stubborn as they come, still think this will not go to trial.

NRCG---I agree with you.  I don't think any jury would vote to put Casey to death. She's young, fairly attractive, and I just don't think they'd do it.  In fact, I doubt I would do it.  I also think this will never come to trial.

Casey Anthony: Stations highlight prosecution’s interest in duct tape
Caylee and Casey Anthony, WESH, WFTV, WOFL — posted by halboedeker on May, 21 2010 5:44 PM

What do the latest release of documents in the Casey Anthony case mean?

WESH-Channel 2 says they offer a look at the prosecution’s strategy.

This afternoon, WESH’s Bob Kealing focused on FBI e-mails about three pieces of duct tape believed to be the murder weapon. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

The pieces of tape varied from 9 and a half inches long to 7 and a half inches long. “Prosecutors wanted to know the exact measurements so they could do a digital reconstruction of how that tape was applied,” Kealing said. “An e-mail between FBI lab analysts sheds new light on what prosecutors want to know about the duct tape and how they plan to show it was used to asphyxiate Caylee Anthony.”

WOFL-Channel 35’s Holly Bristow also focused on an FBI e-mail about the duct tape. Bristow said, “One expert writes to the other, ‘Prosecutors have been asking investigators for specific measurements on this duct tape they say was found around Caylee’s nose and mouth before it was taken apart by investigators. … They want to know if it would be possible for the tape if it was to cover both the mouth and nose areas.”

Bristow added that the defense has told her that the tape did not cover the toddler’s mouth and nose and “they intend to prove that in court.”

WESH’s Kealing said that other documents released today reveal the state’s interest in Anthony’s letters to jail pen pal Robyn Adams and in authenticating Anthony’s handwriting.

“It’s another indication prosecutors plan to use as evidence the things that Casey wrote and said to her secret friend behind bars,” Kealing said.
Kealing noted that the defense says there is nothing confessional in Anthony’s remarks and writings.

WFTV-Channel 9’s Kathi Belich said the new documents could help the defense, which could use FBI communications to expose problems in the investigation. But she added, “Investigators are being upfront about it, which could defuse any defense argument.”

Belich highlighted a couple of points: A photo showed a hole in a package containing evidence. And the evidence from Anthony’s car went several places before the FBI tested it. WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said the defense could argue that evidence was compromised.

In their foreclosure case, George and Cindy Anthony were ordered into mediation yesterday with Bank of America, WFTV anchor Bob Opsahl reported.

There is absolutely nothing to indicate that Casey knew of or ever saw Baez before she was arrested.  So I would have to say NO, Baez can be ruled out.

George was sitting in the car with the cops and was waiting for the go ahead to enter the jail when Bozo put the kabosh on it. Casey then refused to take the meeting.
