This is entire article as there is some confusion (to me) as to whether the products are in the U.S. or only sent to other countries....will continue to check....please note that
Canada is one of the countries said to be under recall.

CNN) -- A voluntary recall has been issued for more than 40 over-the-counter drugs for children, including Tylenol and Motrin, because they don't meet quality standards.

"This recall is not being undertaken on the basis of adverse medical events," McNeil Consumer Healthcare said in a statement Friday. "However, as a precautionary measure, parents and caregivers should not administer these products to their children.

"Some products in the recall may have a higher concentration of active ingredient than specified while others may have inactive ingredients that don't meet testing requirements, the company said.

The company said it issued the recall after consulting with the Food and Drug Administration.

The affected brands include: Tylenol Infants' Drops, Children's Tylenol Suspensions, Children's Tylenol Plus Suspensions, Motrin Infant Drops, Children's Motrin Suspensions, Children's Zyrtec Liquids in Bottles and Children's Benadryl Allergy Liquids in Bottles.

The drugs were made in the United States and distributed to Canada, the Dominican Republic, Dubai, Fiji, Guam, Guatemala, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and Kuwait.

More details are available by calling 1-888-222-6036 or visiting McNeil's Web site.

CNN Headline News just announced the material seen in some of the recalled drugs is now known to be bacteria.  This is not confirmed yet with a link.  I will provide one as soon as available.

If anyone else has the information, please give it with a link.

Thanks.

Update on Recall of Children's Tylenol and related Medications - ( I will post in recall cage too)
http://www.wpxi.com/news/23479431/detail.html

Updated: 6:38 pm EDT May 6, 2010
PITTSBURGH -- Investigators found thick dust and grime covering equipment at the Pennsylvania facility used to manufacture more than 40 infant and children's medications that were recalled earlier this week. A report by the Food and Drug Administration found the McNeil Consumer Healthcare plant in Fort Washington apparently wasn't checking for bacteria, storing materials safely or training employees properly. It said general quality control was nonexistent.  McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a division of Johnson and Johnson, issued the voluntary recall in the United States and 11 other countries after consulting with the FDA. The recall involves children's versions of Tylenol, Tylenol Plus, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl, because they don't meet quality standards.
